"We're almost there," Brutis panted as they reached the next patch of hallway.
"We're not dead yet, right? Ahahahah!" Rick beamed madly, clearly dripping with terror.
Everyone was wary, but Christof wanted this done. He had to finish this task, finish the mission. He could feel it in his bones. He stepped foward, and immediately, he felt a hand on his shoulder, "Stop!" Was all he heard as he felt Brutis's hand yanking him back before suddenly...
The man was gone, falling through the hole in the floor where Christof had stood just moments before.
"Oh s**t, oh s**t, oh s**t-" Rick was panicking, rushing forward and Chris gave a strangled yelp as he darted after him, grabbing him to try to stop him just as there was a painful crunch- the floortile had suddenly exploded upward with spikes, and the scrawny man came tumbling back to his feet, groaning in pain.
With a panicked noise in his throat, he hefted the injured man over his shoulder.
Their leader was dead. It was up to him to find his voice.
He opened his mouth.
"MOVE." Was all he managed to bark, but the moment he stepped, flames suddenly engulfed him and his words were replaced by a scream.
"Christof!" Dean shouted, before the flames spread, engulfing him as well as he shoved Chris and Rick out of the way, his own screams replacing Chris's as the fire devoured him.
Terror was welling up in his chest. Two dead. Two dead because of his recklessness. He wasn't a leader. He didn't know how to lead. He couldn't save these people, but they had to complete their mission, they had to...
"KEEP MOVING." He snapped, his voice strong but wavering, dripping with an accent that felt unfamiliar to him. He did as well as Teressa hurried past him with a look of detirmination. Clara clung to his side as he stepped and suddenly a feeling of elation swept over them all.
Their deaths would not be in vain. They could do this.

The tile you step on gives way under your feet... and nothing happens. As you step on this tile, something wet sprinkles on you from above. Whatever it was, you feel better. Recover 15 HP. A tower of flame shoots up from the tile, badly burning you. Take 10 damage. CLANG! Something hard and heavy falls from the ceiling. You forget something. You activate a trap. Take 5 damage. You activate a trap. Take 3 damage. A companion reaches out and pulls you to safety! Nothing happens. As you step onto the tile, you are filled with a feeling of... elation...? Recover all HP. A companion reaches out and pulls you to safety, taking your place! Except... they're gone. Lose a companion. CRUNCH. You can still hear your companion's screams of pain as they suffer heavy damage. Take 50% HP loss (ie if you are 30/40, take 15 damage).
