A pavilion of cracked marble and twisted column sits quietly in the shadow of the Spires. At its center lies a still, black pool circled by several marble benches. The pool's water seems to reflect a brilliant moon shining clearly against the night sky, but upon closer inspection you notice a large pearl hanging above the pool, suspended by a dull black chain.
A variety of goblets and pitchers lay scattered across the floor, crude things of stone, clay, and bronze. Most are chipped and cracked, only a tiny clay saucer appearing to still be in useful condition.

Anndy was no distracted by the fragments. She knew the goddess had requested something from her, but ... admittedly she had an innate restlessness. She'd climbed past the rushing water, the gushing waterfall. Up and up, until-
"Wow," Anndy gasped. The water scared her a bit, with how fast it was going, but it was so serene up here at the pool. It was dark, darker than even her shadowy hand. "Pretty!"
There was a pearl, which Anndy thought nothing of. Endless junk, which attracted her. Where did she even begin?

He was still chasing that fragment when he arrived at the pool. Suddenly the fragment was forgotten when he spotted another shadow.
"Oh hi." humm, it was interesting there. Was that a peal? how did he get it? he stared at the pearl for a long moment before looking over the other shadow already there.

It was when he stumbled back out of the door leading to the Shrine that Sarviur realized he didn't know where he'd come from. And so he wandered, and so he found - he found marble and tall, tall white, and a still dark pool surrounded by things he didn't care much for, with a pearl hanging above. He walked closer, fascinated, and dipped one of his shadowed feet into the pool, and then pulled it out.
No one had told him to do that. Was it right?
He turned to the others in the area - for there were others, although not nearly so many shadows and blue blue hearts filled the pavilion as had before. "That was good?" Sarvius wondered aloud. He did not expect an answer.

Anndy waved at the other two figures that approach, however that was possible with the way she was flickering. "Hi guys!"
Her eyes trailed and followed their line of sight, only to land on the pearl once more. "Sure is pretty huh," she commented. Then her eyes bounced back to the pool. "But there's some neat stuff in the water too!" Anndy began rooting through the rubble even picking up a few goblets and small rocks. All of it useless. Until she spotted a tiny saucer.
Seeing the shiny object, Anndy reached for the tiny clay saucer, attempting to grab it before the others discovered her treasure.

The saucer feels cool and sturdy but is otherwise unremarkable.

He'd followed a familiar warmth to the pavilion, tiptoeing past the columns as he peered in at the group. Blue, he thought to himself happily, drawing out the word in his mind..
It was then that he noticed the pearl, bright and shining over the pool of black liquid beneath it. Suddenly his tune changed from blue, to 'pearl' though the word simply appeared in his head, as though he had always known what a pearl was, and that this suspended specimen was particularly splendid. It almost glowed like the fragments, the pearl, standing out amidst the grey of its surroundings. Shiohlu wanted it. He edged around the space, staring at the pearl with an unwavering intensity. He wondered how he would get it. Perhaps, if he ran fast enough, and leapt high enough, he would be able to dismantle it from its chain.
Emboldened by the surrounding warmth of his fellow blue hearts, Shiohlu sprung from his place behind the columns, sloshing into the black pool without a further moment's consideration.

"I like the water better than I like that," he offered, and was surprised to find that he did have an opinion. "Hello," he added, almost an afterthought. He watched the other shadow root through the rubble, and wondered where he could find Ganximei again.
And then he saw again, past him - oh, oh, Shiohlu! It had been okay before, so he followed Shiohlu into the pool, wading for a bit, although not in order to catch the pearl, but instead to be surrounded. He liked this...this feeling, of wetness, of water. Was water blue? Maybe, he thought, and then, of course not: the pool was black, not blue. He liked it when there were things around him, too. Like other shadow-people with their blue blue blue cores, strong and healthy.
"Is this what you're searching for?" he asked, and then he remembered that it hadn't been Shiohlu who'd said he was searching, and it hadn't been the one rummaging through ruins, either, and it also hadn't been the one just staring.

Shiohlu was in the middle of reaching for the pearl when the splashing of another made him turn, watching as Sarviur joined him in the water. The dark liquid pooled around them both not, but Shiohlu was indifferent to it. The wetness simply was, it existed, and he didn’t mind it. His feelings were focused on the pearl, and now on the gently pulsing heart beside him.
“No,” he shook his head at Sarviur, turning his back to the other being to further study the pearl.
“It’s just a pearl. But I’d like it. It deserves better than that dingy chain.”

Ixb wandered to the pool at an easy pace and was slightly pleased to see others here. The pool, the pearl, the saucer.. He wasn't quite sure what to make of them but he was working on his social skills and so the shade merely raised a hand.
"Hey!" Maybe these folks could inform him about these things!

"What did you find there?" ReDawn watched the other shadow route through the rubble. Most of it looked broken and useless but she found something of some interest. The peal required effort to get to but this thing was closer to investigate.
IXB got a glance but he didn't seem to interesting, not like the lost girl or sharp.

Shiohlu stared at the newcomer from the middle of the black pool, its core friendly in its greeting, though a little reserved. Then another voice echoed across the pavilion and his shrouded face turned to observe the speaker, curious even more. He'd ignored them all for the sake of the pearl, but now that he was partially submerged in the water, the dilemma of how to get it down made it easy for distraction to sneak in while he considered solutions.
Warm hearts, blue like his, they were all so calming. Slowly, Shiohlu let himself slip further down into the water, til he was floating on his backside, staring up at the crumbling remains of the pavilions roof, and the gray mire of sky that lurked from the cracks and open spaces. Blue, he thought, calming in a sea of grey...

Ixb didn't get as enthusiastic a response from the others as he'd hoped. One was occupied with sifting through things, the other was now in the pool rather deep.
"What's it like?" He asked the floating figure. He didn't quite get in the water yet but after licking that cookie, he was eager to know what was in the pool.
Ixb scooped up some water and sipped from his hand.
