How strange this place was. Ganximei was unsure of just where this place was. Had she been tricked into a prison or some sort? No, it didn't seem to be a prison. There were no chains, nothing holding her down.
But not all prisons had chains.
This place looked old. Run down. Unkempt. Lost.
The glittering fragments around her caught her attention and she quickly tried to scoop one up but it drifted out of her reach.

She was... not quite sure what she was doing. But there was a thing. Flickering. Out of the corner of her eye. And it kept snatching her attention.
Oh she saw you, little-flickering-thing-a-ma-jig! Yes she did! And the urge to chase after it was strong.
Why would she want to chase it anyways?
Did it really matter?
Then one flickered right behind her as she was glancing over her shoulder. Owl didn't even think, just reached back towards it to try and grab it. Right as someone bumped into her and sent her stumbling a few steps.
"Woah. What's the rush?" She blinked at the other figure. And another one she hadn't focused on before.

"Nush." He repeated it, but he wasn't sure he wouldn't accidentally call someone else by that name. Would he be able to meet this person again and know who they were? He hoped so.
"I'm Velmin...I think." He was just as unsure at the other person. "It was the first name that came to mind when I was asked. I guess no one here knows. Right?" He looked to Nush, but felt it was right. "...I guess right."
It was then that he glanced and noticed a light skirting beside him. Clapping his hands out, he caught the light.
"This place CHANGES people, alright?"
He frowned, the loud, angry tone causing him to frown - if he could. He felt bad for that sound, but it was gone as soon as it was spoken and he was glad for it.
"Are you looking for the lights too? The other person I spoke with - Oh....I didn't get her name." He looked around, but he didn't notice any familiarity from one person to the next. "...she got them too."

ReDawn had lost himself in thought trying for figure out just what he was looking for when one of the others he had been hanging around suddenly spoke.
"Lost? You are lost?" he came to the sudden realization that he himself didn't know exactly where he was. The water seemed very unfamiliar even if it was peaceful. "I don't know where we are either." He frowned more. "I'm looking for something though."
With that fifth and final shard, Imuiel seemed to momentarily...glitch out, for lack of a better term. His shape froze and jerked at the same time, twisting in place as features became more defined, the possibly-a-beak solidifying into definitely-a-beak, now clearly attached to...alright, that could be a mask. That wasn't as definitive, but something seemed off about the tall shape's face, almost as if it wasn't quite one at all. His fingers ended in sharp points, though they weren't very long--other than that, he was just as unremarkable as before.
Wings. Many black wings, with sharp beaks and talons attached, swarming and pecking and striking at something that resisted and protected--constant clicking, the feeling of distress, of being lost.
That final snippet was a sudden onslaught of information that only lasted a few brief moments; he processed it the same as the rest, silently filing it away in his mind. What was a mind--this was not the time to fret about that, was it? Still holding the shard tightly, he looked about for Shasa, his height proving an advantage against the swirling fog around them.
"I-- We are done. Complete." He looked down at the shard before shifting his gaze to the other, a feeling of contentment worming its way into him. "Not entire--ly. But...more than before. This is acceptable."

Sharps moved on from her disappointing failure and looked around momentarily. She saw a mulling of hearts of the same color wandering and pawing after lights as well. Suddenly she felt a stronger presence of a fellow ghosted figure. She looked down to see a small shadow with odd petal shapes growing from her.
"Oh dear, darling. Of course I can help you."
The words that poured from her mouth sounded strange, much different from the strangled whisper she had let out previously. She seemed shocked for a moment before returning her attention to Igny.
"You can shadow me if you would like? I may not be big but I promise to protect you from anything you fear. I. . . I am called Mohawk Sharps. You may call my Sharps."
A soft smile spread across her face as she looked down to her new protege. Just then a blip of faint light pulsed into her vision and blipped out faster than she could react.
A new voice reached her which she greeted kindly,
"I too am searching for something, but what it is I'm not sure. . ."

"You are supposed to be here," Lyzzi replied softly, and although her facial features are not clearly defined, she was smiling; the second blessing she received taught her about the importance of... Interactions. This is an interaction, right?
"See-" She gestured to herself, to where her heart is, and then to the figure's own heart, "-we are the same. The fragment you have... Find 5 of them and take them to the Shrine." That was important.
And then, she seemed to remember something else that was important about interactions, "I... I am Lyzzi-" That is a name, "-what is your name?"
A pause followed as she looked at the other figure who had stopped to interact, and her smile grew unconsciously. It faltered, however, when he mentioned that he was looking for something; it reminded her that she was too, even if she had no idea what 'something' was, "DO you know... What that something is?"

Again the tiny fragments were just out of reach. How frustrating. If she could be angry she would. But all she felt was an empty desire. Everyone around her was gobbling them up.
If she were not quick they might be all gone. And this filled her with mild dread.

First there was fog and then there were - there were cliffs. And a shrine at the base of a temple, where he was told that he needed a shape.
Sarviur thought it must be an easy enough task.

Ying could feel their Fear. Their worry, their empathy. Instead of fretting, she smiled lightly. "Perhaps ... we shall all look together then!"
A tiny fragment fell gently into her hand, releasing the Oolong tea scent once more, now mixed with the pale scent of oranges. It was warm.
"We are like the fragments, yes? All floating, but we have a purpose." She held out what she assumed was her hand. "We must hit the ground sometime!" A tiny bell-like giggle came from her. "Where should we start ... friends?" Turning to the bigger one, she said, "I am ... Igny... I think!"
