Sweat rivulets ran down his backside under the itchy cotton shirt. Elton frowned and twisted the offending tie around his neck and loosened it. He hated wearing all these heavy clothes when it was so hot and warm outside. Elton glanced longingly towards the cool looking Lake water and sighed heavily. It looked so invitingly refreshing. The sweat was now running down the back of his legs and his forehead making him completely miserable. He wiped his forehead with the back of his arm and then glanced around.
There was only one other person sitting around near the lake, some fourth year guy. Finally too hot to care what the other kid thought, Elton began to strip off his clothes. He didn't really care if they got dirty or wrinkled, he just needed to get out of them and fast! Finally his shoes and socks followed his pants and Elton made a run for the lake in his knickers.
"AUGH!" He cried when he hit the freezing cold water. "It's soo cold!" Still he wasn't about to get out. Despite the cold being so startling, it felt good. He shuddered as he waded further into the lake until he was completely immersed in the water. It almost seemed like his body would never get used to the cold of the lake but he acclimated to it within at least five minutes.
"I don't care if it is against the rules to swim in the lake," he said, spreading his arms and legs out and floating on his back. "A guy's got to have a way to cool off."
