Character Rules -There is no limit to the number of characters you can have. As long as they are active, that is fine. If you would like to temporarily or permanently make a character inactive, keep their character sheet in your profile topic, but strike it out or in some way make it clear that that character is inactive.
-Absolutely NO cannon characters. Names, personality, powers, bio, everything needs to be original. (Basing them off of people in your life is different - I have made a few characters in the past with personalities very similar to several of my friends, and that is perfectly fine for you to do.)
-Anyone can make a professor character, but the periods during which your character teaches will be assigned. You can, of course, choose what subject(s) your character teaches.
-Students can be any age from 14 to 21. Professors can be any age above 21. You may also make other type of characters, such as children of teachers too young to be enrolled. If you wish to make a character that is neither a student or a professor, please contact me, phantomturtle, to discuss it.
-Characters can be any race except for gods. Keep it reasonable though, please. When you make a character that's half demon, half angel, half human, half butterfly, and half fish, you are just begging for attention rather than making a character that is actually interesting and thought-out.
-If you are making a human character, you absolutely must have a really good reason for him or her to be at an underwater school hidden from humans. For example, a human who's sister got bitten by a werewolf was invited to attend the school, but she was terrified to go alone and wanted her big brother to go with her, or some such thing.
-You must have at least three character flaws per character (you may have more). For characters to have depth, it is important that they are not perfect.
-You cannot be over-powered. No mind control, mind reading, invincibility, etc. Any powers that could possibly be OP cannot be too powerful. Make it clear what you can do and what your limitations are.
-No "unknown past" or whatever allowed. If your character has had a memory lapse and forgotten everything but his name, write it out anyways, and include the fact that he doesn't remember it. If your character was adopted and doesn't know that his birth parents are actually evil demon dreadlords, tell us anyways, and mention that he doesn't know.
-No real-life pictures. It can be any style of art, but it cannot be of a real person. (Although for animals and such you can use a real picture if you choose to)
-Don't post in-character until it has been approved.
Character FlawsWe are serious about this. Having flaws is important in developing your character. Here is a link to a list of character flaws that you can use. You are not limited to these. Please also read the introduction on that page. It expresses quite well why character flaws are required, and how they work. Especially this paragraph: Quote: Well, for starters, their writers had to look at their flaws and determine why they have them in the first place. Do these one word descriptions completely convey the depth of their personalities? No. Just because Xeno and Tindle are both stubborn does not mean their level of stubbornness or reasoning for it is the same. It can mean different things for different people, which is why we ask prospective players to elaborate on these flaws in their personality descriptions. So as you can see, listing a flaw is the easy part; describing it and giving it purpose is an entirely different story. Give reasons for your characters' flaws. Explain how and why they are that way, and in what way their flaws affect them. Be detailed. Be creative and thorough. The more work you put into this and all aspects of your character sheet, the better your character will be and the more fun it will be to play.

note: some of the above are allowable if you can make them a definite flaw, and not something that is sort of a flaw but also sort of a good thing. Some that are allowed may be rejected if they are twisted in a way to not be a flaw. It can't be something that would make people like you, unless it is a person's flaw that makes them like that flaw. If this does not make sense, please ask for clarification.You are expected to incorporate these flaws into your character. It is not something added on because it is necessary. It is also not allowed to have flaws be variable. For example, a character cannot "often lie," "usually be selfish," or "sometimes get angry easily." Those are excuses that make your character not flawed, and is not allowed. (Idea for character flaw system originally seen at Rosentale Academy)

 Name: Stella Chrysanti Student or Professor: Professor Nickname: none at present Age: 37 Gender: Female Race: Spirit of Light Orientation: heterosexual Relationship Status: single History: Once a year, when the sun rises on the north pole, a tiny spirit-body is born into the Northern Lights. Over the next six months, it soaks in light from the sun, fueling what would soon become a creature called a Spirit of Light. This year was no different. At the Fall Equinox when the sun finally set, the tiny ball-like form had gathered the amount of light needed, and a consciousness came into being.
It started off ignorant of everything, as any child does, and had to be taught the ways of the world. From it's elders in the Northern Lights, it learned about war and about peace, about kindness and about cruelty, about greed and about charity. About life, and about death. It was not taught what was right, and what was wrong. Instead, it was taught what things were.
After ten years of study, the eldest Lights deemed it old enough to begin it's life's journey, and sent it into the world to discover who it would be, allowing it to choose it's own path. The first step, they directed it, was to go to the place called Stonehenge, and acquire a human form. "Farewell, young Spirit. Return to us when you have come to understand." It was confused. Had they not taught it all about the world? Did it not understand what the world was? It tried to ask, but the elders turned away, and spoke now more. The young Spirit began it's journey.
It came to Stonehenge, and stayed inside the stone circle, hiding near the ground from the tourists surrounding it. After a full day and night, the spirit felt a difference within itself. It had gained something. She had gained something. The magic of the circle had taken the essence of the Light Spirit, and gave it the material to create an identity. She felt female, and so she became female. She felt her weightlessness, and so she created a human form for herself, thin and light and small, just like she felt. She felt herself as her own self, with an identity, and so she gave herself a name. She became Stella Chrysanti.
With her new form and her new identity, Stella went into the world to try to understand. She met people, but she did not know people. She found places where there was war, and where there was peace, and lived in each for a time. She experimented with greed, and collected things from other people, taking them so that she could have them. She liked having things. Then she tried charity, and gave the things away. She did not like having no things. In this way, she tested everything she had been taught. After many years, Stella had learned much about the world. She was 18, and had two very important things she had not yet tested. Life. And death. She started by killing plants, and then small animals. She learned to hunt. She killed a person. When that man's heart stopped beating, Stella thought she understood death. It was time to understand life. She went to a farm, and watched a horse being born. She learned about life in many ways, but did not understand. She decided she had to create life. She found a male, and conceived a child. As that child grew within her human body, she began to understand. She gave birth to a tiny human baby boy, and when she looked down at the life she had created, she understood. Life was good. She loved that child with her entire heart and her entire soul, and that was the first time she had felt emotion. And it was good.
But then that tiny precious baby boy began to cough. It wailed and it coughed, and it would not stop, no matter what she tried. She felt desperation. She needed to help her child. But the coughing did not stop, not until the last moment, and then it died. Stella took up the wailing of her boy, screaming with pain. Finally, she understood death. And she knew that death was wrong. That greed, and war, and killing was wrong. She wept for everything she had done. For the things she had stolen, for the hurt she had caused, for all the cruel words she had said, and all the cruel things she had done in her attempt to understand. She wept for the man she had killed, the life that she had snuffed out. The man who had once been someone's baby boy. Stella understood it all now, and wept, resolving never again to do something that was not good.
Stella returned to the North Pole, resuming her Light form, and faced the elders she had not seen for eight years. "I understand," she told them, and they saw that she did.
There was only one more lesson they could teach her, and that was peace. The elders helped her to come to terms with what happened, and to accept it as a part of herself without hating herself. They shared their stories, some similar, and some wildly different. They had each come to understand, and knew that until each Spirit understood, he or she could do no good in the world. If that meant losing some spirits who chose not to understand and return, so be it. And after five years of living once again in the Northern Lights, Stella found peace.
She also found purpose. Each Spirit of Light must choose his or her own life mission, and Stella chose to protect the youth. She knew what it was like to be young, and to not understand, and she wanted to help the young on their life's journey - because not all creatures have to learn the way Spirits of Light do. Most are born with the knowledge of good and evil, and it is their choice what to do with it. So Stella came to work at Atlantis Academy, to teach the young students and be a guide for them, helping them to find their purpose, and to come to peace with themselves.
(Longest bio evaaaarrrr, oh my gosh! Never gotten that into a character's story before xD ) Weapons and/or Powers:
-Light Shift: Stella can shapeshift into her true form, which is a marble-sized ball of light. Although it may sting some eyes to look at it directly, this form does not have the power to burn or blind in any way. She is also completely powerless in this form.
-Healing Magic: She is able to speed up the healing process of another person to three times the normal speed. Does not work on herself.
-Lightness of the Mind: If another person is troubled, Stella can provide temporary relief by shielding the consciousness from the area of the brain that is the problem, allowing the mind to heal. Works only if the person's mind is open, aware, and willing to do so. To stimulate the magic, the person's hands must be placed face down on Stella's open palms. Personality: Stella is a calm, kind and loving person. She does everything she can to help someone in need, whether the problem is physical emotional or otherwise. Obviously, she believes very strongly in finding inner peace, and that belief is present in every aspect of her life. She will never lie for any reason, or do anything else harmful. (More may be added here as she develops - it always takes me a few posts to get the details of how a character acts)) Character Flaws:
- Gullible: She knew what it was to be dishonest, but she also knew what it was like not to be trusted when she was honest. Because of this, Stella assumes that others would never purposefully lie or cheat. She automatically trusts that everything she is told is the truth, because she does not want to cause the tension that can be created when there is not trust.
- Idealist: Believes in the absolute best possible scenario despite what is going on around her. Won't accept that someone did something wrong unless she see's it with her own eyes, and even then will do her best to find an explanation for their actions.
- Overzealous: Believes so strongly in her philosophy of the world that she is blind to any others. Intensely devoted to her cause, keeping it repetitively in her head. Habits:
- When she is not holding or doing something, Stella tends to clasp her hands out in front of her chest as if she were praying (or sometimes on her lap if she is sitting). This originated from her trying to figure out what to do with her hands.
-She goes really still when she is nervous, instead of tapping her foot or many other nervous habits. This also applies to when she is afraid - she will be absolutely still until she can figure the situation out. Quirks:
-Stella is strongly susceptible to "brain freeze" when she eats cold foods, like ice cream.
-She always carries a peppermint cough drop with her. Fears:
- Stella cannot abide the thought of pain. Just thinking that something might hurt makes her afraid.
- Lizards frighten her, but she can't explain why. Aspirations:
- Stella yearns to raise a precious family of her own - this time with a partner that she truly loves.
- To aid others on their life journeys, and to help people find peace within themselves Loves:
- children and young adults (teenage-ish)
- a peaceful atmosphere

Although her nose is also small, it is kind of pointy. History:
*Talia was born in the quiet village behind the mountains of the forest in Romania; surrounded by the forest as there village was securely hidden from sight. She was bred in the late season of autumn; being handed to her mother she gave out a loud cry of her own, showing that she was a strong, healthy baby. Finally opening up her eyes, she was immediately introduced to the pack; having one come at a time for her to see them and be greeted, it was sort of a tradition they had whenever a new member was born.
As the months went on into years, Talia was at the right age of 10 when she had finally gotten the correct names for each face in her pack; occasionally giving them nicknames that she had only came up into her own mind, not willing to voice them out. Even though Talia enjoyed to be near her pack, she also loved the fact of being by herself sometimes to just think freely about whatever was going through her mind. Many times has her parents tried to bring her back to the pack and she would throw a fit, just wanting to be by herself at least once in a while, which she knew was bad. She would never admit to anyone but it was stressful sometimes being with her pack all the time, since being the daughter of alphas she had a reputation to withstand... She hated it.
On her 16th birthday, Talia made a rash decision to apply to Atlantis Academy. Feeling over whelmed by her pack, she dimmed it necessary to be away from them for awhile; from the starts her parents had disagreed with her brash decision since she still didn't know how to control her shift or to learn how to be a leader. Even after countless trials, they still did not approve but they loved there daughter though they hated the idea of her going away.
During the day she was to depart, her mother had handed her a amulet; it was formed from deep inside the mountain where the old black diamond minds lay , brought out into the sun as it was burned then remolded into a wolf's head. Her mother had told her it held great power and to use it when need be, holding this small trinket close to her... She was off to Atlantic Academy.
Weapons and/or Powers:
*Agility: Can keep up with fast motions in time, never losing sight of what's there; has a hard time trying to keep with it when she is in motion.
*Amulet: May control the stream of the moonlight to her advantage to which she can cast down mists of it around her opponents to blind them; only can she be in the moons gaze can the amulet actually work.
*Beast Within: Only weapons are her fangs and claws, using them to fight but also with her body; problem she has with this is that her claws and fangs aren't nearly as long as her fangs, to which she must bite more then needed for the desired affect.
Personality:
*Talia has a calm aura around her, never truly talking much as she keeps most of her thoughts to herself. While she's social in some aspects, the woman usually remains to herself but she'll always be there to lend a comforting hand, a shoulder to cry on and an ear to talk to when times are hard. She tends to have a neutral face most of the time around people she doesn't know, not really taking the time to lift a smile in there direction or give them the time of day. When alone she allowed her face to drop, just enjoying the time she would get to be alone, usually just talking with herself about certain topics that would seem unimportant to others.
Character Flaws:
*Audacious- Recklessly bold in defiance of convention, propriety, law, or the like; insolent; braze, disobedient.
*Finicky- Excessively particular or fastidious; difficult to please; fussy. Too much concerned with detail. Meticulous, fastidious, choosy, critical, picky, prissy, persnickety.
*Rake- An immoral or dissolute person, acting without moral restraint, who defies established religious, social, expected precepts; a freethinker.
Habits:
*Messing with her Amulet; never keeping her fingers of of it as she just twirls it around in her fingers even when she's not bored, her hands automatically reaching up to mess with it.
*Allows her claws to show and begin scraping them along anything that she is close too.
Quirks:
*Twiddling with her fingers, she always had this thing about her when she would just have to move her fingers.
*Showing those rare smiles so often.
Fears:
*The sight of blood scares Talia with a great deal, just simply viewing it causes her body to weaken and a wave of nausea hitting her full forth.
*Talia has a fear of being alone in the dark
Aspirations:
*One day that she can control her shifting during the full moon or when she gets angry.
Loves:
*Amulet; Talia really couldn't tell you how much she loved her amulet, just the way it
*Sweets; Never getting the privilege to actually have some when she was younger from the pack, she was allowed a few for when she was good. Now if you were to offer her a sweet, she would give you a rare smile and her eyes would shine bright with happiness.
*Reading; Talia could probably tell you every word that was in the dictionary because she had read the whole thing, she enjoys to read a lot always opening up her mind to new and exciting things.
Likes:
*Moonlight; She couldn't really tell you how much she enjoyed being in the moons light, it was just this feeling deep inside her that made her so happy that her wolf howled in pleasure.
*Nature; Just the feeling of the grass and the wind against her flesh always made her smile, the way it felt just had a calming aura around it.
*Being close to people she knows; The simple touch of someone she knew brought relief to her in a way that she just couldn't explain.
Is Indifferent To:
*Annoying People; Talia doesn't care for the people that decided that it's hilarious to go out and annoy others, she never let it get to her as she simply ignored them.
*Rude People; the profanity that comes out peoples mouths these days is just nasty, that's why she tends to ignore it, to simply block them out.
*Flirting; You can try all you want to flirt with her but she will just simply stare at you with no facial expression, not finding your flirting cute at all.
Dislikes:
*Stealing her Book; when people out right go to take her book just to get her attention gives her usually neutral face a hard glare across it, she thinks it's very rude that someone will just steal things to get someone else's attention... It wasn't cute.
*Interrupted; she didn't like how others could just rudely disturb her concentration to see what she was doing.
*Touching; Talia has never enjoyed random strangers coming to touch her for no reason, it always weirded her out in a way that she would accidentally scratch them so they would stop.
Hates:
*Violence; Never found a reason to actually use violence to her advantage on the weak innocent people that did not deserve what they got.
*Touching her Amulet; just the fact that people go out of there way to touch her amulet makes her so upset that she will drop the calm demeanor of herself to snap at the person who is touching her only possession.
*Disgracing her pack; It just angers her so much since these people have no idea who her pack was, and to just outwardly talk bad about them was just terrible.

*Has a a soft Romanian accent much lighter voice to herself, but when need be would have it sound more aggressive when need be.

*Whenever Talia walked into a room she would seem in a carefree way, just simply moving her hips to the rhythm of her steps that made her look in a friendly way.
Describe your character's face:
*First thing you would notice about her was that she had flawless skin, nothing what so ever could be seen over her face; skin a soft tan but pale color to it that glowed perfectly when in the right lighting. Upon taking a closer look, you could see that she had thick eye lashes outlining her eyes which in a way when she looked at you would make her seem older then she appeared..
Describe your character's body:
*Talia had always hoped that she would someday be tall, but that never happened since she only grew to be 5'3 not very tall since she reached peoples chests or shoulders. Even though she wasn't born tall, she was gifted with a slim body; being very active when she was a child and from now, her body turned out in a way that she had liked, with large round hips and a small bust.

*She has a sort of style to her that is classy, never showing to much skin nor wearing a lot of clothing just the right amount and the way her hair folds down her shoulders to outline her face.

It was a closed off place that really didn't bother with the outside world other than to trade and gather necessities. Renae and her twin grew up working at their father's farm, while their mother worked as a bar maid. Generally because this was a tight nit closed off, there would be tall tales of monsters and mayhem that happened outside the safety of their homes, and at night. One which Renae ran into when she was 14. At 14, their father had forgotten one of his tools and as it was getting dark out, he didn't want thugs to rummage through and take it. So he sent off his children to collect it for him. Bad mistake. While out with a lantern, they ran into a gangly beast, one that they were told about often. It was a lone male werewolf, out looking for a mate. And when he caught sight of Renae, his hopes were high. In his primal state, he saw her brother as a threat, and went out to attack him. Renae, being the more bolder and protective one, stepped up and took the attack head on, getting bit on her side, but not without managing to set the beast aflame. In this confusion, their family came out to see what happened. In fear, they tried everything to take care of their daughter's soon to be curse, and in the end, they had to send her off. A strange person had told them about Atlantis Academy, where she could be safe. So that's where she went, and stayed, with her brother at her side. Weapons and/or Powers: + Beast Form - As a werewolf, Renae is able to use her teeth and claws as a weapon. Contrary to belief, only when the saliva hits the wound can you become infected by her. + Faster Healing - It isn't instant, but within an hour, most deep wounds will be simple scratches. The bigger the injury the longer it takes. + Faster Speed - She can run up to 57 MPH, sharp turns are harder on her and she will not be able to keep up if you zig zag. Only in her werewolf form can she achieve this. As wolves generally run that fast to begin with. Personality: + Family first - She puts her sibling first and foremost. History: Kamden and his twin sister were born in the Highlands of Scotland, in a small, tight-nit farming community. Kamden and his twin grew up working at their father's farm, while their mother worked as a bar maid. Tales reached them of strange creatures that attacked at night, but he didn't think much of them. Until one night, when he was 14.
Their father had forgotten one of his tools, and it was close to night, so Kamden and his sister were sent with a lantern to get it. They discovered the tales to be true when they came face to face with a lone male werewolf. It seemed to be focused on attacking him, and Kamden was paralyzed with fear. At that moment, Renae stepped forward to meet the beast head-on. She used her lantern to set the beast aflame, but was bitten on her side.
The werewolf howled in pain as it fled, and Kamden howled his pain at seeing his sister take such a wound for him. This commotion brought their family down to see what had happened, and they tried to treat the wound, but the curse took hold despite their efforts. She was to be sent to a special school called Atlantis Academy, where she would be safe.
But there was no way he was going to let her go without him. Kamden loved his sister more than anything in the world, and could not bear to part with her, so he insisted to his parents that he go with her. Although the story he tells is that she needed him to come along so he could protect her... Weapons and/or Powers: None. He's a completely helpless human who has no idea how to fight, and probably wouldn't manage it even if he could figure out how to pick up a weapon. Personality: Kamden acts like he thinks he's the coolest kid on the block, and a lot of the time actually thinks that way. He is constantly flirting with anything female and humaniod, and if there aren't any girls, he might flirt with some guys just because. He's helpless and clingy, and relies on his twin sister. Without her, he would probably be totally insane, and would most definitely be dead. He loves her more than anything, although he tries not to show it. Character Flaws:

Mizuchi has grown up in a remote underwater castle where only her family along with some servants lived. She enjoyed her life and cherished every moment with loving and welcoming arms...well, that was until her younger brother arrived.
Yakusoku was born when Mizu was five. She was excited at first and very much cherished the new company in the house. But later she grew tired and annoyed with the crying baby dragon. It seemed her parents paid so much attention to him that they forgot about her. A few years past and she had become accustomed to locking herself in her room as the newly discovered child prodigy ran around the house stupefying his parents. Mizu would cover her ears tightly and mumble to herself every time she heard the praises given to Yaku by her parents.
He was only five and he could already bend water like she had learned just a year ago. She tried to focus on her practice but, unable to shut out the 'racket' from her family, she often punched a hole in the wall with spinning water orbs. Some nights she even cried because her family had forgotten to invite her to dinner.
It was only a few months ago when her parents finally found the holes in Mizu's room that the servants had tried so hard to cover up. They screamed at their failure of a daughter and decided it was best to send her to a place called Atlantis Academy. They hoped it would set her straight and that she might finally become serve a good purpose in life like her brilliant brother.
Mizu is only filled with more rage... Weapons and/or Powers:

Ah the rare Voidling, agents of time and space only appearing at the pinacle moments of history across all space and time. Darith is a prime example of this secretive race. one that is not born rather created, winked into existence at their time of need calling those who were born to the battlefield with them "brother" or "sister". Darith was created at D-Day as a american infantryman who stormed the beaches with his brother Aryk. Their job was to together help secure the beach head and help the Allies win WWII. which this was their first true assignment. They stayed till the end only to fade from the memories of all they had served with in glorious battle, but Darith and his brother would be sent to the battlefields all over time fighting beside more than just humans. Monsters and unknown species also needed the help of Voidlings to secure the future that needed to ensue. Every Voidling is created with the distinct connection to the warp or void and to feel its flow giving them great knowledge and skill and experience to do what is necessary of course war isn't the only thing they participate in. Assassinations, Demolitions, and many other destructive things that involve death and espionage generally fall upon their shoulders. Darith's story truly begins when he lost his brother they had finally finished a war in ancient china and were sent to the void once more to rest and recuperate before their next deployment then without warning Darith was cast from the void and sent to live for himself this was his vacation since he had hit his 30th year of service. But he still felt lost without his brother and had sent to find him again but he was locked. Stuck in his place in time for 10 years before he could return to fields of war once more and in the two years he had spent in the time and place where he was he had picked up many skills such as alchemy, demonology, teaching, and some offhand magic nothing serious just minor tricks and small spheres of light that would follow him then he received an offer from another voidling to go in his stead to Atlantis academy to teach students the art of war Darith quickly agreed and void-skipped his way there where he became a teacher to mold the young minds of those who could be fighting along side him in the future, or his past?
Weapons and/or Powers:
1. Chronoshift: allows him to shift time to save himself once by sacrificing himself in the future (This means that, at one time or place in the future he will have to sacrifice himself to save himself in the past so sometime in the future he will be forced to die to complete the time loop when or where is unknown Only works once)
2. Baekje sword blessed by the void and infused with earth (causing it to be near unbreakable, other than the mark of the void the sword just has a slight touch of red)
3. Void-skip: The ability to use "The flow" of the void to send himself short distances (Like teleporting but not instantaneous so can't god-dodge Cast time:10-60 seconds Distance:5-1200 Meters more time spent channeling the farther he goes)
4. Alchemy (Practices both Herbalism and Transmutation variants of alchemy. not really a power but...)
Personality:
time for every situation how I believe he would act. (ATM)
Casual/downtime: Quiet keeping more to himself in his thoughts about his plans to return home and what kind of life awaits him tends to isolate himself
unless he can think of a benefit he would gain by interacting.
Stressed/tense: Stoic stays level headed tries to make people see reason to avoid unnecessary fights or conflicts to make sure no one gets hurt. trying keep anyone he favors as close as he can just in case the worst is to happen.
Anger: should it happen, he would probably beat the nearest inanimate object to dust he tries his best to avoid people generally ending up ashamed should it be found out he was enraged.
While Teaching: Very professional, meaning that he is respectful to all those who come to him for his service gets the job done and makes sure its done right. Tends to talk fast during lectures but constantly checks if anyone has fallen behind
Combat: During combat Darith knows its best not to panic, you need to keep your cool. So he does just that focuses on his objective and lets nothing distract him until he has dispatched the target.
Sadness: Becomes Misanthropic, can question his mission in life becomes philosophical about the point of his races existence to keep what is truly eating at him suppressed.
Joy: Darith will become incredibly social, trying to talk to everyone he can his class will generally notice this mood by what he'll talk about in class and how quickly as his voice tends to become faster in his giddiness Character Flaws:
Zealous: to his cause as a Voidling (To right wrongs that occur in a timeline if HE believes it could alter it in a way that goes against the flow he will do everything in his power to eliminate or change the factor be it a person or object regardless of rules he cannot resist it as it is literally in his blood)
