cert requests
the form has been updated; you now need to include the colorist!
you must fill out all of the information.
If you don't know the rank, head on over to this thread in the guild.
all cert change requests go in this thread.
Getting a cert for a first time? Check. Changing a cert because it's incorrect? Check. Joining a pack? Check. Rank change? Check. Growth? Checkcheckcheckcheck.
wolves will not get certed until you post in this thread.
Growing wolves should theoretically get certed soon after the uncert growths are posted.
certs aren't required, but they're a nice way to keep track of all the info.
first-time certs will be dumped off in the drop off thread in the guild; corrected certs will be edited into your post here.
please review the naming guidelines before picking a name for your wolf.
If you're uncertain about the name, ask in the main thread or ask in the Q&A thread. If you're feeling daring, go ahead and post here; if the name isn't quite up to standards, I'll quote your post and let you know what's up.
faq's
"why hasn't my wolf been certed?"
If it's been less than a week, chill first. But also, check your post! Perhaps the certist has quoted you and pointed out some vital information that you're missing in bright red!
"I don't have the uncert for my wolf!"
All uncerts are available for viewing here in the Photobucket. Please find the uncert yourself! Linking to an image with multiple wolves (and failing to state which it is) will likely get your request ignored.
naming rules
do not name your wolf after a rank.
That would be weird. It would be okay to have "Alone in the Forest" as a name, just not "Lone" all by itself because...what. Also, no Shaman. That's an upcoming rank.
all wolves must be named after natural things that the wolves themselves would encounter in their daily lives.
While Astronaut and Tiger's Claw are rockin' names, they don't really work in this environment.
no regular human names or cliché foreign words.
No Sakura, Thomas, Charlemagne, or Mario. You can either choose a "natural" name like Autumn Leaf or War Cry, or you can go with a "fantasy" name, such as Nymeria or Gannicus. Also, Alaskan Native (e.g. Inuit and Aleut - along with most other Native American) words are perfectly acceptable.
pups should be named after their parents.
I'm not gonna be super hardcore about this rule, but...it's part of their culture.
before choosing a name, it's a good idea to head over to the owner's list and be sure that the exact name you're looking for isn't already claimed.
