Welcome, members of rivaling cabins. I know Camp Snagem has started with bitter relations already, but now is the time to vent your hate towards your enemies through our first Cabin Challenge. Routinely we'll have these challenges where both cabins are given a specific task to complete. The cabin which succeeds will receive cabin points and supplies to assist their future efforts. Now then, onto the challenge!
For our first challenge we'll be hunting a certain electrical rodent, a Pikachu. I have fenced off a section of Viridian Forest with a large log fence and released a Pikachu into this enclosure. Each cabin will send one of their members into the enclosure in order to find the Pikachu. It may sound easy but there are a few restrictions. Hybrids may not bring Pokemon, and others may only bring a single Pokemon. Furthermore, you must capture the Pikachu, as in with a Pokeball, that said, you may not bring your own Pokeballs, or any other items, instead your cabin must use their finances to buy a Pokeball (or other items), or several, for the challenger to use.
Oh, and did I forget to mention? I pumped the Pikachu full of X Speed, so good luck out speeding it. And there are, of course, wild Pokemon found in the forest inside the enclosure, as well as other Pikachu. The one you want has a red scarf tied on its tail.
One last thing, while only one member from each cabin can enter the enclosure, that doesn't mean others can't "help" in other ways. Let's just say I have the attention span of a wrestling referee, if you know what I mean. All is fair as long as no one else enters the enclosure. Also, might want to keep the enemy from assisting their own members.
Now, once both challengers have been chosen, please report to the west side for Free Cabin's entrance and the east side for Drill Cabin's entrance. Good luck!

An old western style wagon pulls up to the middle tall wooden fence, the image of a ghost on the side. Four ghostly arms come out of the mouth of the wagon, each holding a different type of Pokeball. The owner of the arms soon appears afterwards, it's the ghoulish merchant himself, Nebu, a regular Pokeball in his normal hands. "By Ra, I see an event I could profit off of! Your pharoh told me you needed Pokeballs and so I came as quick as possible. As you see I have five types with me today, so pick which ones you wish to perhaps and give me some of that irresistible...scrumptious...mouth watering-...give me some Snag Coins."

While waiting to see who would be decided to try and undertake this challenge, Amaranth decided to slink away and pay Nebu a quick visit. Sure, this probably should've been a vote, but she was in charge of the finances anyhow. Slipping Nebu eight of the cabin's coins, she took a single Quick Ball to give to whoever would be attempting the whole thing.

Still grumbling angrily to herself, Night handed over the eight coins Connor had given her to Nebu in exchange for a Quick Ball before venturing towards the east side entrance to await the time for the Challenge to start.

Amaranth would find herself returning to the challenge site, having discovered that she'd be the one doing this after all. Oh well, it saved a lot of time, what with already having the Quick Ball and all. She took her place at the west side's entrance, wondering why the hybrid on the other end was muttering angrily.

Once both contestants were in place, a buzzer would sound to signify the start of the contest. The fence in front of the two Snagems would suddenly open to allow them in, and once they entered, it would seal fast once again. On the inside of the towering fortress style fence, was just more woods, nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Now it was up to the two to figure out a way to seek out that Pikachu. Will they sniff it out? Or maybe think of a way to draw it to them? Whatever they planned on, they better start right away to get the jump on the competition.

"Better get this over with," Night said, stepping through the fence opening. She barely acknowledged the fence closing back up behind her as she fanned out her senses to locate the rat.
A slight flicker on her senses told her that something with electrical chi was nearby. Clutching the Quick Ball in her fist, Night slowly began making her way towards the pokemon. She only hoped it was the Pikachu she was looking for so she could get this whole thing over and done with.

Amaranth might spot something rustling in a tree not too far away, the quick glimpse of something yellow could be seen, disappearing as soon as it appeared, into the leaves of the tree.
As for Night, she indeed would sense some electric chi, coming right in front of her several yards away. Her senses would lead her through a thick mass of thorny bushes, let's hope she just doesn't burn her way through it.

Once he'd made it to the wall blocking off the Pikachu capturing enclosure, Lykas climbed up a nearby tree, high enough that he could see over the wall and close enough that he could see as much as possible without crossing over the fence.
Once he was certain he was in the best position possible, he released two of his Pokemon onto nearby branches. The first, Sphynx was to help with sighting and baiting. The second, Tallulah the Seadra he'd caught in the Whirl Islands, was for direction and trapping.
"Sphynx. Use your X-ray vision to see if you can spot a Pikachu with a scarf on it's tail. Once you find it, find Amaranth and and tell Tallulah here which way to direct it so she can get to it." The hybrid told his Luxray, who nodded and began searching the forest.
"Tallulah, you're to use Bubblebeam to dissuade the target from moving any direction we don't want it going and then Smokescreen to keep it from running once it's in the right place." He directed the Water-type, whom he was holding onto as he looked around for Night, who was to be his own target for water-logging.

High above the battlegrounds and just slightly outside of the area that had been designated for the hunt, Reno examined the area from his perch on top of his Metang. Walking back far enough to allow another companion atop this place, he opened a single Pokeball and released Tesei to balance on the edge of Phemes. Her response was to bring her arms up to hold the Cloyster still, as Reno set to work aiming towards where Night had come out and he could see the forest moving slightly. Pulling the sides of Tesei's shell like a large machine gun, he began to fire off a volley of Spike Cannon into the forest, letting the spikes rain down upon the general area surrounding Night.

Amaranth, admittedly, had noticed the presence of others from the cabin, but dismissed it when a blur passed her by. Quickly, she gave chase, trying to pick up on it's chi to avoid losing it.

"You know," Night shouted towards the sky as several spikes rained down around her, and potentially scaring away whatever was putting off the chi she was feeling, "A little help would be greatly appreciated if, you know, it's not too much trouble. Or do you people want Free Cabin to win this challenge?"
Grumbling to herself over lack of anyone taking any sort of interest, Night pushed her way through the bushes, wincing slightly at the thorns from the bush and the spikes piercing her feet.

Indeed, whatever Night had neared had fled once the spikes rained down, there was no longer a chi source for her to sense. To make matters worse, those bush es she walked through were crawling with Weedle, and I don't think they were thrilled about having their lunch disturbed.
Back with Amaranth, she would pick up on the chi signature, which was indeed electric in nature. The source would stop suddenly at a towering tree, the source at its peak.

Once Lykas had located Night, he made to attack but stopped when a rain of spikes came down on the area around her. Instead, he turned his focus to his Pokemon once again.
"Find anything, Sphynx?" He asked. The Luxray nodded, her eyes scanning the treetops as she honed in on a source of electrical chi. She barked quietly a few times, giving Tallulah directions, the Seadra nodding in turn as she tuned her focus to the spot she was being pointed towards. The two would wait for the right moment, when Amaranth would be in the optimal line to intercept the target before Tallulah fired a Bubblebeam with exceptional precision, blasting the area opposite Amaranth in order to scare Pikachu towards her.
