I think it's super cute that Mads ships them. Hannibal's relationship with Will in the TV series is by far anything more personal than in the books. It seems almost intimate at times - which makes sense if Mads is slipping some shiplove in to his role.

They play off of each other so well.

That makes it even better.
The fact that Hugh doesn't ship it, is kind of sad, but also makes it better.
Makes it a little more intense and gives it a little more passion if you imagine Will fighting against Hannibal's feelings.
Which I guess is kind of already happening...

I completely agree with this. There is just something about the way those two actors are playing their characters. Some of its so in depth and some of it's just so very subtle.

That's totally true. And i guess Hannibal is really going to have to examin how he feels now that Will doesn't trust him at all anymore.

Part of him will probably be in a lot of pain.
The other part will realize that this might help Will grow stronger and become smarter.
He'll probably think he's actually helping Will and it isn't such a bad thing that he's doing.

In Hannibal's mind I think that's all he's ever tried to do with Will, even later when he's in prison and he presses Will and sends him letters and what not. It's all to help Will and make him a stronger, better 'detective' with coping mechanisms so that he can control his anxiety.

Exactly.
It reminds of V for Vendetta.
V basically tortures Evey so that she no longer has to experience fear.
In the end, Evey is thankful.
I think Will might kind of end up feeling the same way.

V is one of my favorite characters ever.
I've never seen that, but I get what you're saying.

me too and it was so beautifully filmed, and the acting. I mean I actually feel like Hugo somehow makes the mask show emotion - honestly - and I don't have a clue how he managed that.

I feel the same way.
Hugo made me fall in love with V.
His performance also made him one of my favorite actors.
He's great in everything he does though.
I even bought V's mask.

on year we made V masks and ran around in black capes - up on down the cul-de-sac on November the 5th. It was cold but super fun. Then another year, we made a parliament cake and set it on fire by saturating it in rum. it was all Brulle and delicious afterwards.
