Poecileth flew over the city, trying to hone in on any conflict she could sense. What with the nightmare business causing a panic, she thought that it would be a good idea to fly around and see if her services were needed. Conflict, she had learned, rarely waited until the combatants reached her office. She would prefer to not see conflict at all, but then she would be out of a job, and in a situation like this, it was unlikely.
Of course, if she met this nightmare or whatever it was, she would be professionally qualified to calm them.
She swooped down and flew low for a moment, scanning the streets below.

The previous day had not gone as planned at all. Despite that Tori had seen something in her kids that she had not seen previous. There was a resilience in them. With that knowledge she felt confident to let them out to explore past the complex's housing area.

Alison unlike Willow and Auden was not content to sit and loaf. It was one thing to loaf around with your siblings near by when the house was large. But in an area you almost bumped into one another, it was another.

Once she was outside she stretched the length of herself first and then her wings. It felt nice to feel the sun on her face and smell the fresh air. She shielded her eyes from the sun as she gazed upwards.

It was still early morning. She tucked her wings back in and hummed softly as she headed off towards the library to check out a book. She could take that book where ever she wanted and read it.

As a nod to the earlier announcement, Chance had tagged along after some unfamiliar Manifests on the way out of the apartment complex. Soon after, however, caprice took over, and he wandered off from the main group, chasing his own curiosity. Wide eyes looked left, right, up, and down as the young Manifest ambled down. His gaze took in the figure in flight up above, the winged figure humming as she walked, and the rest of the street.

Those wings inspired him to find a higher vantage point of his own. Since he couldn't fly, one of the streetside trees would have to do.

As the winged figure he had watched earlier swooped lower, Chance was making short work of shimmying up the tree trunk to rest his feet on the lowest branch. Unfortunately, climbing higher was going to pose more of a challenge. His movements shook the tree branches vigorously, pelting the pavement -- and any unlucky pedestrians passing by -- with an assortment of leaves, twigs, and spiny burrs.

The young Manifest's attention was fixed on the dragon in the sky, heedless of the mess he was making. "Anything interesting up there?" he called, a cheerful voice within the depths of the leaves.
