DarkClan Camp
Their camp location is unknown as it is impossible to travel the tunnels and caves without getting lost, unless you know them as well as DarkClan cats. Their camp is located in the center of their territory and can only be found through following a series of tunnels, caves, and paths into the depths of the ground below DarkClan territory. It is located in a large cave with many tunnels leading off to smaller caves where the dens are kept. It is dark and cold, although on good days, there is a small oppening that shines down on the High Cleft. The moonlight or sunlight will shine through to that one spot and warm the rocks and hearts of DarkClan.

Skypounce pads out of his den, watching the weak sunlight filter through the hole in the tunnel. He looks around the quiet camp, straining his ears to listen for other cats before padding over to the freshkill pile, picking up a small fish. He retreats to the mouth of the den to eat.

Based on how stiff he was, Shadowpelt knew it was time to move. He had no real desire to wake and begin his day. His nest was comfortable, and the soft breathing of his fellow warriors was soothing. However, he did have a duty to his clan. He rose carefully, trying to ensure he wouldn't wake any of his clan mates.

He made it out of the den successfully, regretting abandoning his nest. It seemed he might be the only one awake - oh. There was Skypounce. He nodded his head in greeting to Skypounce, not feeling the desire to actually speak to his medicine cat. One advantage of being able to see, albeit poorly, was that he had an easier time spotting other cats. It at least helped him prevent awkward collisions and such.

Finding somewhere out of the way, Shadowpelt sat down. He wanted to see if the Deputy wanted him on a patrol. If he wasn't needed, than he would probably just go hunting by himself. For now, he didn't have an apprentice, which left his days mostly free. Sometimes he did miss having an apprentice, but at the same time, his life was easier without one. At least he didn't have the responsibility of caring for a cat so closely.

Skypounce bites into his fish, watching Shadowpelt as he pads by. With a cough, he raises his voice to speak with the warrior.

"Hello, Shaowpelt? Do you mind maybe coming with me through the tunnels outside of the camp to find some herbs? If not, I understand. Warriors' are always busy and whatnot."

He rambles on, finishing off his fish. His eyes flickered around camp. After he had seen his mother die in the tunnels, he never went alone within their depths. They secretly scare him, even to this day. He crunches up the bones quickly and stands to stretch his own bones, popping a few in the process.

Well, he supposed that would work too. He hadn't exactly expected to be approached by the medicine cat, but he had no problem with it. It wasn't as though he'd actually been doing anything yet this morning.

"No problem Skypounce. Do you want to leave now?" The dark furred tom couldn't help but wince at the sound of the medicine cat's bones popping. He always found the sound a bit disturbing if it wasn't his own frame. Mentally shaking himself, he rose to his feet once more and padded to the medicine cat's side.

"You should lead the way. I'm not sure where your herbs would be."

Skypounce nods and moves over to the warrior. His eyes flicker around the empty camp once more, before leading him out of camp and into the tunnels.

[Skypounce exit into tunnels.]

Older apprentice of DarkClan

I love to run...
To explore and play...
But one day...
Shouting Wildstar!

The she-cat with blue eyes sat just outside the place where apprentices slept. She currently had a paw up to her mouth as she gave it a few licks before rubbing it against her face. Her gaze was currently on the tunnel where the deputy had left with the medicine cat.
Yes, like a few other cats, the apprentice had eye sight. A gift that was usually looked down upon by her clan mates. But to her she considered herself lucky, it allowed her to see that which some of her other clanmates could only guess at.
At the moment the clearing was empty, aside from a few cats who had ventured out to make dirt. It wouldn't be hard for WIldpaw to slip away to visit the surface for a little bit. As she rasped her tongue over her paw twice more she closed her eyes and strained her ears to listen for the sound that her eyes were wrong. But only the sound she could hear was that of sleeping cats. When she opened her eyes once more she had a sly smirk upon her lips. Now was the chance she was waiting for. She should go now before her mentor Tornstar awoke and told her what she was going to do for the day. Rising to her paws she was careful when she walked. Keeping low to the ground as she slinked toward the tunnel that would take her to the surface.

And feel the wind running through my fur.
With my brothers and sisters.
The other cats will be shouting my name!
As I stand before them, leader of the clan!

Skypounce flicks his tail, taking the root from the deputy and returning to the mouth of his den to sort the herbs. The root were in great shape, but the poppy seeds on the other hand...were very dry. He would need to head topside and check on the plant, and if needed, give it a bit of water. He plucks the berries off the the bunch and sorts them, burying the ones that were dried up and rotten. Returning to his store, he places the roots and berries in there. He then returns outside, and pads up to the sunning rocks, resting upon them as he groomed himself. His eyes flickered across the camp, spotting Wildpaw. He looks away from the apprentice as he looked out over the camp.

(After all the accusations, I must point out that Shadowpelt is not the DarkClan deputy, he is just a warrior)

Shadowpelt gave the roots back over to the medicine cat when they returned to camp. Glad to have the plants out of his mouth, he glanced around camp. It seemed no one really had woken since they'd left. What a shame. He supposed he would just head out hunting on his own then.

After spending so long in the tunnels with the medicine cat's fear stench clogging his sense of smell, Shadowpelt figured some fresh air would do him good. There would also be plenty of prey on the surface since it was green-leaf. It would also be nice to exercize his eyes for once. Nodding to himself, the warrior headed for the tunnel that would lead to the surface.

He was surprised to scent that Wildpaw had recently gone through the tunnel, and it seemed she was alone. Filing it under "not his business", he assumed the young she-cat had a good reason. He moved into the tunnel, longing to breathe in the scents from above.

Shadowpelt re-emerged into camp feeling much better then when he'd left. The fresh air above had done good for him. He dropped his catch of a mouse and a toad on the fresh-kill pile. He glanced around the camp, wondering if anything significant had happened since he was out. He assumed Wildpaw had delivered the rabbit.

He grabbed the mouse up once more and picked a corner to sit in and eat his meal. As he ate, he watched the camp, wanting to see if anyone emerged.

Her paws had just landed lightly upon the cold hard ground of the camp after practicing a battle move she was trying to perfect when she heard the sound of a cat returning into the camp. She paused in her training to turn her head and look over her shoulder to see it was Shadowpelt. He must be done with his hunt. She opened her mouth to greet him when something...or more like someone slammed into her side and caused her to fall to the ground letting out a startled mroow. Her head hit the ground rather hard, hard enough to cause her vision to blur. She could hear her brother's, Frogpaw, voice apologizing to her but all it did was cause annoyance to course through her. To clear her vision she gave a few shakes of her head and blinked several times. By the time she looked over to the dark gray tom with white paws, she sent him a half hearted glare as she replied to him in a light tone "Stupid furball mom should have named you Clumsykit." she watched as her brother lowered his head and mumbled another apology. Heaving a heavy sigh she rose to her paws, not even bothering to shake the dust from her pelt or smooth down the ruffled fur. She leaned forward and gave his ear a small comforting lick "Cheer up Frogpaw, you just need to practice a little more." as she spoke she motioned for Shadowpelt to join them. "I'm sure Shadowpelt would love to help us both out." she shot the warrior a hopeful look while her brother at her side glanced timidly toward the spotted warrior. Though the two apprentices were the same age Frogpaw was much bigger then his sister. But personality wise he had always been the most timid of the two, always second guessing himself. All Wildpaw wanted was to become a warrior with her two brothers and live their lives out serving the clan together.

And feel the wind running through my fur.
