Alex had heard her mom. She knew that her mom had spoken words but by the time it had processed it all she got out of it was blah, blah, blah. She did not know that there was anything wrong at the complex at the present time. The thing that she did take in was to hold her sister Willow's hand and she had done just that until she had saw a shiny coin on the ground. She did not think it had been that long that she had stared at the shiny coin but once she had stood up and pocketed it she realized that she was alone. Alone wasn't all that bad. It really was not all that different now than a week or so ago when Victoria had taken her in.

Eidel had to plead to get out of the apartment, just for a small while. She promised she wouldn't be out long ad that she just was going for a walk.
Yes. She was going to keep safe.
No. She won't talk to strangers (a promise she'd likely forget).
Yes. She'd be home at the appointed time.
She gave everyone that stayed at home a hug and a kiss and then traipsed her way out of the door. Her feet pattered upon the pavement of the Imaginarium as she tried to keep her promises in mind but...
A new person!
Eidel soon wandered up to them and tilted her head, "Are you being daring and wandering about on your own? I am!"

"Daring?" Alex's ears perked up as she gave the girl a look of curiosity. She crammed her hands into the pockets of her overalls. "Nah. This is just normal. Now daring is climbing a tree!" She gave the girl a once over before grinning.

Eidel paused for a second as she tried to ponder the idea of climbing a tree. The fact was that she never had before, slowly her head tilted skyward and frowned a bit.
"Hm! Well. I have never climbed a tree but that's only because I don't think it'd take me all the way up there," she pointed up where she was looking.

Alex shielded her eyes with her right hand as she looked upwards. She realized that the girl was pointing to the empty sky. "You want to climb your way to the clouds?" Now that was a goal. She wondered it if it was accomplish-able. She herself had never managed to make it the top of any of the larger trees. That was goal to fine and climb to the top of a really, really tall tree.

"Don't you think that'd be the neatest thing!? To go up to the sky and beyond the clouds! Space. The final frontier!" She grinned cheerfully as she settled her gaze on the one before her.
"My name is Eidel! I am an alien." Always the best of ice breakers.
She shifted to look around a bit, "So why are you wandering alone? Are you just out for a walk?"

"The final frontier," Alex said it more to herself than to girl. She was not entirely sure about all of that. It had never come up in her studies or in a conversation before until now. When they got back home she would have to asked Alison about it. That particular sister was always full of answers and if she couldn't answer it she knew just what book to go to. She shrugged her shoulders and avoided answering if it was cool or not.
"Alien is that some type of cat or something?" She half turned to give a better view of her tail. She knew that not everyone was a cat or a creature but cat was her best guess since she didn't know what an Alien was.
"I'm Alex and I'm a cat." She didn't go into specifics about which cat.
"My family and I came for groceries. Something happened and I'm not sure what because really I could care less. I was keeping up with my siblings until I saw this," she pulled the coin from her pocket, "when I looked up they were gone. Then you came along."
"What are you doing out here?"

"Nope! I am no cat," she giggled a bit and waited to see if the other would introduce herself.
Eidel let out a small happy sound, "Pleased to meet you! I am out here because I needed to go for a walk! I promised my Dexter-man that I would be careful and be back by a certain time!"
She froze for a moment, "O...Oh..and .. I wasn't supposed to talk to strangers.." The teen looked sheepish now.

"I know your name and you know my name so that makes us not strangers." That was Alex's logic anyways. She wondered why anyone would want to stay away from other people. How were you suppose to meet people and get to know them if you avoided them?
"I don't know about a walk but we can go do something. Something would be better than just standing here." She had an itch to do something and she didn't really care what. She was up for anything. The dirtier the better. The higher the better.

She looked a little less guilty when Alex rationalized that they were no longer strangers since they introduced themselves to each other.
"Well...Dexter just wants me to be careful because there are things happening that could be a little dangerous or something. Something was stolen and..." There was a trickle of information inside her head that was only half remembered.
It was a wonder she got this far in what she knew.
Eidel let out a humming sound, "I suppose we could go look for your family together?"

"You know more than me about what's going on," Alex grinned.
Her ears perked up when Eidel suggested going with her to look for her family. She kinda missed them but if asked she would deny it. She also knew that by now her mom had to be worried, especially since something was going on at the complex.
"Okay. We were heading in this direction," she pointed off towards the direction that lead to the park. "Maybe I should start paying more attention when my mom says something." She laughed nervously.

"Why you gotta pay attention to what aaaaanyone says?" came a disgruntled voice. A teenaged girl with brown hair in giant floofy ringlet curls and a purple sweatervest with big boots and shorts was looking at the two oddly.
A fluffy tailed cat thing and an alien with stars. They seemed pretty ok. Or pretty stupid. She wasn't sure which.
"Anyway, what's all the fuss people are makin' now anyway?"

They were pretty. That was the answer.
Eidel paused at the voice and gazed over toward the source of the voice, right as she was about to wander toward the park where Alex indicated.
The teen tilted her head to the side, "Well, because caregivers usually know what is best for you! Dexter-man says so."
Dexter would never lie to her!
"Eeehhmmm, someone stole something ... I think...? Something important and people are upset..." Eidel's uncertainty was obvious.

"Because when adults speak you listen." Alex put her hands behind her back and looked away. Her ears laid back guiltily. She was terrible at paying attention. Perhaps she should take her own advice.
"So anyways who are you?" Alex circled around the girl. She looked similar to their age however there was something different about her. "We need to know because Eidel isn't aloud to hang out with strangers and you aren't strangers if you know each other," she explained.

The older girl snorted then outright laughed at the pair of them. "If they know what's best and you supposedly listen, you two don't do it very well!" she was in rollicks over the pair of them and their cluelessness.
On their question, she grinned broadly. "I'm....um." she blinked a bunch. A bunch more. Um. She hadn't been given a name yet. She liked to kick things - she kicked her way out of that hatchery! annnnnnnd they called her toxic.....
So in a flash of ridiculous teenaged brainstorming, she grinned mysteriously, "You aren't allowed to know my real name, I cant' give it to just anyyyone. But you can call me Toxkickity so you'll at least know me."
