Trèvor stood at the base of the Divination tower staring up at it. It had to be a good eighty feet high if not more, which would definitely be a challenge to climb up without using any safety gear. Of course, he could definitely do it. He just had to make sure he didn't get caught. Then he'd end up in detention. That was something he really didn't need.

He glanced around fervently and was glad to see that there wasn't anyone around. It was after all the classes of the day were over and mostly everyone was in other areas enjoying the uncharacteristically warm weather. He shoved his hands into his pockets coating them with a layer of climbing chalk and began to make his way up the brick tower. At least there were enough hand and foot holds for him to make his way up pretty easily.

In his ascent there were a few times that he had to reach out further to get a better hold, but it was a rather easy trip. He was perhaps nearly three fourths of the way up, when an owl nearly flew into him causing him to lose his hold with his left hand. "Augh!" he cried flailing for a moment before he was able to grab onto a new hold. "Darn bird." he muttered darkly and then gazed down.

Wow..there were kids underneath watching him and running around like little ants. He laughed at the image of ants scurrying around trying to find food. Of now that he had been spotted he was going to have to hurry before one of them reported him. "Just a few more feet to the window." He muttered and continued on.

With renewed determination and fervor to reach the window before he was caught he managed to get there in hardly any time at all. Of course the whole process of getting into the window was another challenge he hadn't thought about at first. For the first thing, it was latched closed and no amount of jiggling was going to get it open. At least there was a ledge, but the only problem with that was the window opened out. He was going to need someone to help him out or he'd be stuck up on the Divination tower all night long.

He pulled himself up on the ledge and peered into the window. He was surprised and glad to see there was a student tidying up the room. He tapped loudly on the window to get her attention. Hopefully she would be able to hear him and not disregard it thinking it was nothing more than a pesky bird. "Come open the window for me!" he called loudly.

Faye scribbled down the last lines of notes as most of the Slytherins filed out of the Divination Tower. She loved the class; the crystal balls reminded her of mirrors, the heavily perfumed room took her back to several amazing vacations to exotic places, and she had tea in every class she had attended that whole week! Faye could write to her father that she could proudly read tea leaves and would gladly demonstrate when the holidays came around.

Faye also liked that the Divination tower was one of the tallest towers in the entire school. The height of the tower exites her, and gives her a sense of serenity whenever she set foot in it. She learned her first day that it gets very stuffy up there, and to change into something light under her robes come time to go to class.

Faye slowly rolled up her tea leaf entry that she was working on in class, savoring the last moments she would spend in it until her next Divination class. She took her time corking her ink bottle and cleaning off the nib of her quill, organizing them all in her small bag that she had brought. Faye moved her stool under the desk she was working on, straightened the tea set she was working with, and rested her hand on a crystal ball on another table, wishing she could have Divination twice a day.

Suddenly, a loud rapping sound came from the high window. The sound startled Faye so much that she knocked the ball off of the table, sending it rolling under a desk. Breathing heavily, Faye tried to deduce what could of bird was big enough to make a noise like that. It must be a bird, no student would dare climb such a treacherous, steep, and unorthodox peak, would they? Faye slowly approached the window, her fingers shaking as she unlatched them and slowly pushed them open. "Oh my godsh!" she exclaimed, raising a wan hand to cover her mouth. "Vat do yew think you're doing?!" she gasped, completely gobsmacked that there was a boy sitting on the windowsill. "Get in 'ere bevore you get 'urt!" she demanded, not in an unkind way, in a worried, cautionary tone.

He was rather relieved when he didn't have to wait long for the girl to crack the window to see who was out there. Her accent and her flabbergasted mood had him nearly cracking up. Of course, he wasn't about to laugh in her face. That would be rude, after she'd been nice enough to open the window for him.

He obliged her request to get inside, though he had to wait until she stepped back so he could slide in the room. "Thank you for your assistance." he said flashing a bright grin at her. "I'm Trevor, Daredevil Extrodinaire. Nothing's too high for me to climb and nothing's too daring for me not to attempt."

He glanced around the room and was relieved to see that the teacher wasn't present. He was about to slide out of the room when he noticed the glass ball had rolled under a nearby desk. Trevor walked over, pulled the crystal ball out and handed it to the girl. "I imagine you were looking for this?"

As Faye moved so he could et in, she could see the suppressed laughter on his face. "Vou think this ez vunny? Vou could 'ave been killed!" she criticized, shutting the window. She turned back to him and accepted his thanks for her 'assistance'. She decided that even though he was polite and had a nice smile, he still committed a dangerous stunt that could have landed him detention, or worse, have gotten him expelled. Faye warily decided that this Trevor boy was not practical in the least, and was crazy for intentionally putting himself in harm's way just to get a rush of adrenaline.

"Faye Debroux. Slytherin house, virst year. Enchanté de faire votre connaissance.." she articulated, deciding to be polite to her company. The french left her mouth sounding velvety soft, aided by her accent. She wasn't exactly sure if she meant the last part, but it slipped out out of habit. She gave a small, perfect courtesy as she said it, returning to her original posture.

Faye pursed her lips slightly as his arrogant words hit her ears. 'Nothing to high or too daring to attempt? Nonsense. He'd plead mercy before making it half way up the Eiffel Tower.' She thought. She scrutinized him as he crossed the room, noticing his grimy clothes and hair, covered in dust and gravel and owl droppings from scaling the tower. She disgustedly turned her attention to her hair, which she began to comb through with her fingers when he appeared in front of her holding the crystal ball she had knocked over. She dropped her hand, completely forgetting she had upset it when he had rapped on the window.

Slowly and gently she took it from his hands, her fingers passing over his for a moment. She glanced at him once, taking in all of the grime he was covered in before glancing at the ball. She pulled out a cream, lacy handkerchief and rubbed at a patch of dust on the crystal ball, smiling because he still had on that grin. "Merci." she lilted, placing the ball delicately on its stand before turning back to him. "Vou might need zis." she smiled, placing the hanky in his hands.

Trevor waited until the girl had moved aside before he pulled himself in through the window and sat on the sill for a moment to catch his breath. He bit back a laugh as she railed on him about putting his life in danger and telling him that he could have killed himself. He knew his thinking was screwed up and that he really should take better care of himself. He had no idea why he had the urge to do such dangerous stunts. Then again..he never really thought things through he just did them. This was one of his major flaws, jumping into things without foresight of what might happen.

His mother was always wringing her hands over him when he did his stunts. Not that he always told her everything that he had attempted. He knew that if he had she would have locked him up long ago. His father, well he probably would have stuck him in a dungeon to keep him safe.

"Yeah I could have but I wasn't so all is well." he replied with a wink at the girl.

He wondered what she would think if he told her she looked gorgeous when she was angry. He chuckled to himself as he stood up and ran a hand through his short afro. She'd probably wallop him a good one if he did. She seemed like a girl that wouldn't take kindly to him saying things like that.
She'd probably end up getting all huffy towards him as well, though she had seemed kind of huffy to begin with. He supposed it was because he had frightened her by tapping on the window.

"Nice to meet you Miss Debroux," Trevor replied with a slight bow and took her hand to kiss it lightly. He was surprised that he hadn't noticed her at the slytherin table or common room before. He wondered why that was.

"It's a pleasure to meet you too." He added with a confident smile.

He wondered if she'd be surprised that he had understood her french perfectly. He had picked up some from when his family had lived in France a few years earlier. His father was constantly traveling for his job, so Trevor was constantly exposed to new cultures and languages. It helped he had an ear for new languages, unlike his poor sister. She was gifted in other areas that he had trouble with, like schoolwork.

He could tell that his earlier words had annoyed her. He winced slightly realizing just how arrogant he had sounded. He noticed her scrutinizing him and wondered what she thought of him. That's when he glanced down and grimaced at the state of his clothes.

He looked up when she reached out to pulled the glass ball from his hand surprised at her gentleness. He had thought she was mad at him and wondered why she hadn't torn into him yet. It seemed to be what females liked to do to him, especially after he scared them to death. When she turned back and offered him a lacy hanky he couldn't help but laugh at her offering.

"Thanks for the offer, but I think a cleaning spell would do help me out a great deal more." He said handing it back to her. "Of course to do that I'll have to go get my wand from my trunk. I thought it would be safer there than in my back pocket."

Faye was shocked when he bowed and kissed her hand lightly. She never would have thought he was capable of such a gentlemanly gesture, from what she had seen of him in the short time they had spent together. Maybe Trevor wasn't all that he appeared to be.

Paired with another dazzling smile, Trevor perfectly interpreted her french and sent the phrase back at her, decoded. Faye blinked in surprise, a small smile of amusement curled across her face. She wondered where he had learned his french and how correct his accent was compared to a native speaker. She was wondering why she hadn't noticed him around before. She wondered what house he was in.

Her annoyance with his initial pompous attitude and unkempt clothes fading, Faye accepted her handkerchief back, tucking it into her back and pulling out her own wand with ease.
"I've got it."Faye recited a cleaning spell, flicking her wand daintily as the grime disappeared from his clothing and hair. "Vou don't need to uze magic vor everysing, you know." She teased, tucking her wand into her pocket.

Taking another look at the daredevil, she realized that, once cleaned up, he was pretty cute. Tall with his olive skin and short afro, and those deep orange-y eyes. He seemed familiar, and the pieces slowly fit together in her mind.
"I 'ave 'eard of you bevore, i think. Vou are a Slytherin too?" Faye perched on one of the desks, holding the crystal ball in her lap. She faintly remembered hearing his tone of voice farther down the Slytherin table in the Great Hall, loud laughter usually following it.

"And veer did you learn french, Monsieur Daredevil? " she teased again, running a wan hand through her long hair, her silver eyes gleaming curiously.

Trèvor couldn't help but smile at the shocked look on Faye's face. He imagined she hadn't thought he had any manners because of the state of his clothes. He rather liked to surprise people, they were always thinking he was just some idiot daredevil. It was fun to shock and amaze them.

He couldn't help but chuckle at the surprised look on her face when he translated what she had said. "Don't be so shocked Madamoselle Faye, I'm much more intelligent than people think I am. I can speak three languages fluently and now I am working on my french. Perhaps you could tutor me on it?" He asked with a sly grin.

He grinned when Faye took her handkerchief back and put it away. He watched with his head cocked to the side as she performed a cleaning spell to get his clothes shiny and clean.
"Thank you Faye," He said with a slight bow. "Oh I know, I just don't have time to get all the way to the nearest bathroom or my dorm room to get cleaned up. I have class in less than ten minutes." He grinned back at her, not mind the teasing in the least.

Trevor raised an eyebrow at her while she took a nice long look over him. He couldn't help but hold back a laugh. She totally didn't realize that she was giving away the fact that she found him attractive. She must think her features were schooled but he could tell by the slight lowering of her eyelids that indicated it. Most girls didn't realize that their eyes gave away so much.

"Oh you've heard of me?" He asked with a cocky grin. "I'm sorry to say I've only heard of you in passing. I would however like to get to know you better. Yes, yes I am." He replied watching her keenly as she sat on the desk.

He wondered if she knew what a pretty picture she made sitting with her ankles crossed with the glass ball in her lap. He wished he had a camera so he could get a picture of this moment so he could remember it later on. Maybe one day he'd be able to catch her in a simulair pose.

"I learned french when I was living in France a few years ago. My father moves constantly for his job, so I've lived in several different places in the world. I'm still a novice though, I imagine you could teach me a lot more than I know. If you'd like a student that is."

Faye raised her eyebrows in surprise at the impressive information he supplied her with. Fluent in three languages? That's quite a feat in her book. And adding french to the list? Extra points awarded. The question following was the opposite of tentative, especially paired with a devilishly handsome grin. Faye couldn't help but chuckle, flashing an 'Oh, Really?' expression.

The Veela's silver eyes widened when he informed her that his class was less than ten minutes away from starting. They were in one of the tallest towers of Hogwarts - if not the tallest - and she couldn't help but remember that most of the first-year classes were on the first few floors. He would have to make a mad dash to get there in time, and only just, if he didn't run into any mischievous prankster ghosts or trick stairs. While she thought it was incredibly reckless to climb up there so close to the start of the next class, she also found herself exhilarated by the suspense he had created. And she couldn't help but feel special if not a bit guilty that she was delaying him from his journey to his next class.

Trevor laughed for seemingly no reason, breaking her admiring gaze to give him a confused look before daintily crossing her dangling ankles, swinging them gently from her perch on the desk. A cocky grin spread across his face when she mentioned that she had heard of him. Why would she expect anything less coming from such a proud Slytherin. When he pointed out that he wanted to get to know her better Faye smiled innocently, her skin brightening a shade or two as heat crept up her neck to her cheeks.

She noticed the boy watching her like she had done to him, a smug smile pulling across her lips.
"See somesing you like, Trevor?" she teased, twirling a long milky-blond strand of hair between her graceful fingers. This back-and-forth thing that was falling into place amused Faye. He was holding up quite well, considering most other male students she encountered and conversed with melted into gibbering gawkers. And he was actually keeping up a stimulating conversation! She was starting to enjoy his entertaining company, and felt almost disappointed that he had to leave soon for his class.

Faye nodded along to his story, and put on an undecided expression.
"Vell, if you are indeed more intelligent zan you zsay you are, then you vouldn't need any of my 'elp." Faye moved to set the crystal ball back on its stand. She turned around once it was in its rightful place, her eyes narrowed and lips pursed in mock evaluation. "Hmm. But I guess i could teach vou if you would smile a bit more ovten." She said with a shrug, trying to sound nonchalant. She fought a losing battle against the smile that peeked out at the end of the sentence, her little dimples making another appearance.

"Vat do you say?"
