As the most cool night began to fall upon the land, most creatures were heading to their bedding for fear of nocturnal predators, using this time to regain their lost energy. Smooth as the night sky covered in inky clouds, the lonely God of Nightmares stepped out of his den, watching the cloud coverage against the faint rays of the crescent moon. His only visible eye watching in the complete darkness how meek this world was when he was active. Grae's livelihood found itself active when anyone slipped into the gray area of depression, anxiety, worry, fear, and anything else that could give way to his domain. The dark male stepped through the night without a second thought, the air and atmosphere feeling like it was his complete being.
After a few feet of walking, he sensed an abnormality in the air; it had alerted him to a bit of unusual worry. Walking carefully towards the source, he saw a frantic female, watching her pace around as if she had lost something. The shimmering fur of gold and white making Grae squint his eyes just by staring at her too long. Not amused with her attitude in his darkness, he decided to go up and talk to her, majorly out of his comfort zone.
"What's wrong?" his dark blue eye stared at the other, the only shimmer of light upon them causing a difference between him and the shadows. His voice like some eerie echo from off the pages of a legend or something ironically idiotic. Sitting there, his gaze shifted over her a bit before closing his eyes faintly, watching her still but causing him less grief.
