The Sage Rank Test
"Ermygerd! It's here!"
What is the Sage Rank?
The Sage Rank is the highest rank one can achieve in the guild, it is a sign of complete mastery over your character's abilities and skills. It is also the hardest rank to achieve, as there are limited spots. The Sage Rank is not something that needs to be given out, it is reserved for the best. There is one Sage for every nation, including the Spire.
How can it be achieved?
The Sage Rank is achieved by completing a mission known as The Gauntlet, a series of three events meant to challenge your RPC. If even one of these events are failed, you fail the entire test. The test itself may only be taken 3 times.
What is The Gauntlet? What will the events be like?
As stated above, it is a series of three events meant to test your mastery over your class, bloodline and element. Even if you are human, you will receive a bloodline event. Each event will test you, and your skills. As the proctor, I will specifically ensure that each event you face will challenge you. Do not bother with studying someone else's test. All tests are different, made specifically for each RPC depending on their class, bloodline and element. I may even include your background into the challenge.
What are the requirements to become a Sage?
First and foremost, you must be a Master (A Ranked). You need to have completed at least two S Ranked missions, in your application you will describe each one to me. Some people have their definition of an S Ranked mission, and I have my own. You need to have mastered every skill that your class, bloodline and element allow (with few exceptions) you to learn. I need a link to your profile, which I will save so that I have a copy of an untampered profile. Also, only one of your RPC's may become a Sage.
What are some of the exceptions to skills you spoke of?
For one, there are a few classes that have multiple S Ranked skills and even SS Ranked skills. We all should know that Master's can only learn a total of 3 S Ranked skills and one SS Ranked skill. So I don't expect you to have them all learned. But the ones you can learn better be learned. Secondly, some skills have prerequisites you don't meet. For example, Paladin's Temple Body requires you to be a virgin. No one is a virgin past the first month of their RPC's life, so let's get real.
How long is the test?
However long I want it to be. Don't worry, the test is outside of the RP. This means that you don't have to leave your city or where you are to take this test.
Once I am in, can I be disqualified?
Yes, you can. If you receive a guild strike while taking your test, you are disqualified from the test. Don't think you're safe once you're in. The guy who had intercourse with that girl from 'Teeth' thought so as well, and he was wrong. So very, very wrong.
*Note about the app: Please, write your response to each thing outside of the bold. It's a bit of a pet peeve of mine.
