Okay, I hit a snag in my profile creation. What
kind of turn of the century time period are we
talking about? Do you have a year in mind?
Cause I am not sure how far back I am going
and what type of period that may look like.
Long long ago in a galaxy far away when Facebook was only for college students...
Around 2004, before smart phones but in a time where computers are continuing their ascent to godhood etc. etc. So, strong technological presence, strong media presence, nightlife is always happening etc.
Also, your previous question about source material, it comes from White Wolf Publishing, created by Mark Rein-Hagen as a tabletop pen and pencil game similar to Dungeons & Dragons. The name of the actual material is called Vampire: The Masquerade.
There was a very rushed and buggy game that was released that I based this particular roleplay off of called Vampire: The Masquerade, Bloodlines. It has a fantastic story, sweet voice acting and tons of choices, but because of the botched production, its extremely glitchy, you have to go through a ton of patches etc. to make it look proper and even then there are several things that are messed up (For instance, the Nosferatu clan was apparently not intended to be a playable race, but they rushed it in and so you get weird things that don't mesh with the story in a lot of instances.) All in all, its still a good game if you can get past the flaws and I enjoyed the hell out of it.
Not to get us back on track or anything, but getting back on track: the mechanics I've adapted this to for the forums and the city it takes place in as well as any NPC characters etc. are all my creation.
