Personality: A'iko is a very calm and collected person. It takes a lot to upset or anger him. He has a bit of an obsession with poison and easily gets excited talking about the subject. He tends to show a positive attitude in the worst of situation and only shows emotions he desires. When fighting his personality allows him to keep a calm demeanor and observe his opponents before responding. Itsuo has a bit of an emotional side. Once he's been angered it takes a lot to calm him down. He's pretty observant and perceptive when the situation calls for it. He isn't one to do things without a reason, and is quick to think of the outcome of his decisions and actions.
Other: A'kio's love for Ramen is the main reason he refuses to go to war with Kohona. Character History A'kio was born to Asami and Hisoka two of Suna's strongest puppet masters. Asami was very attached to her father, often calling him the single thing that kept her world spinning. What Asami didn’t know about her father was that he was a spy working for Otogakure. He was secretly teaching Otogakure ninja justsu from the hidden sand village and informing them of the Kazekage’s every plan and thought. When news of this reached the Kazekage he ordered Asami’s father to be killed; sending his personal Anbu to do the job. Later that night Asami’s peaceful sleep was interrupted by the sound of someone entering her house. Unaware of what to do Asami ran down the hall and into her father’s room. He was already was already awake, sitting on his bed with a kunai in both hands. He quickly instructed shoved her in his closet, hiding her behind clothing. Through the small holes in the rice paper Asami watched an Anbu walk into her father’s room. He approached her father and the two of them talked for a little while, what looked like a casual conversation soon turned violent as the Anbu quickly slid his sword through the father’s neck. She gasped as she watched small dark crimson droplets of blood crash onto the cloud white sheets of her father’s bed.
She watched as the Anbu carefully removed the sword, cleaned his sword with the bed sheets, and placed the blade back in its sheath. Her slight breathing turned to quiet hyperventilation as she watched the Anbu walk up to the closet holding her father’s kunai. She screamed as he sliced open the paper and crouched down to meet her height. Her whole body flinched as the Anbu gently grabbed her face. “You’re old enough to remember…One must always stay loyal. Without loyalty one has nothing.” Still in shock, Asami nodded at the Anbu’s words and watched him quickly walk out of the house. Once she was finally able to grasp the entire situation Asami burned her ninja headband, renounced the Suan blood running through her veins, and fled the village. The Kazekage at the time simply added her to the list of missing nin and went on with his life. After a few years Asami grew stronger and planned an assignation of the Kazekage. In her mind he was the one responsible for her father’s death. The Anbu couldn’t do anything without an order.
Twenty years later, when she turned thirty five, she finally set her plan in motion. What she didn’t take into consideration was that the Kazekage already knew she was coming. Instead of his personal Anbu he sent his son, Hisoka, ,to intercept Asami. His mission was to kill her, but he couldn’t bring himself to end her life. The two of them talked and quickly fell in love. Hisoka convinced the Kazekage to allow Asami back into Suna under one condition, Asami had to apologize to the Kazekage. After several hours of pleading Hisoka convinced Asami to apologize and she moved back into Suna.
While A'kio’s mother carried Senju DNA only his father, Hisoka, had the ability to use wood release techniques through the use of his puppet; a skill that A'kio’s mother, Asami, secretly envied. It was Asami’s envy and hatred for Hisoka that drove their marriage into the ground. The day Hisoka decided that he finally had enough and was ready to leave his wife was the day they both found out she was pregnant. Their child was the, much needed, glue that held their family together. In light of this discovery Asami and Hisoka agreed to work everything out and Hisoka left his rank in the Anbu; telling the Kazekage that he would need to have a less dangerous life in order to care for and protect his family. After Isamu was born Hisoka followed in the footsteps of his ancestors and opened up a puppet shop to provide for the family. They relit the fire of their love, and everything seemed to be looking up for the family.
When Hisoka's father died he took up the role as Kazekage. It always confused everyone why A'kio chose not to follow his parent's footsteps and never truly got into the art of the puppet technique. Instead became fascinated with iron and poison for some strange reason. It wasn't until his eighth birthday that they found out A'kio's kekkei genkai. At the age of 13 A'kio had a massive argument with his father after passing the chunin exams. This caused him to flee the village without the thought of ever returning. During this time A'kio became known as a "missing ninja" and his father sent countless ninja after his son giving A'kio countless subjects to test the poison techniques he learned from the black salamander. Within a couple years A'kio became an S ranked Missing Nin and used the teachings of the Elder Black Salamander to create his one strand of poison rivled only by the poison of the legendary ninja Sasori. Because of his training A'kio had built up a immunity to any and all types of poison as his last step to becoming a Great Salamander Sage. Worried and heartbroken, Isame passed away after a year of A'kio's absence. Her spirit is said to have seen A'kio on Mount Yuudoku na training under the Black Salamander. Rumor says that instead of crossing over she split her soul in half and sent her love to inhabit A'kio's sand mimicking the legendary ninja Gaara's Shield of Sand. At the age for 21 he returned to his village with the knowledge he gained. Worried, and relieved that his son has returned; A'kio's father welcomed him back with open arms. Within two years he proved himself to his father causing the man to step down for his role as Kazekage and becoming part of the village elders.
