There are many types of arts that can be used to make a living off of. Read through the list here to see if any of the processes are as appealing as the product. All of these jobs have an age requirement of at least 17 years.ArithmancerRequirements: N.E.W.T. in Arithmancy
Description: A witch or wizard specializing in the field of arithmancy. They use complex number charts to make predictions.
Artist/PainterRequirements: N.E.W.T. in Art (not necessary)
Description: Creates works of art in varying mediums such a paint, oil pastels and pencil.
Bird WatcherRequirements: Knowledge of the behavior of birds
Description: Observes the behavior of birds in the wild.
Broom-makerRequirements: Flying Experience
Description: While independent broom-makers are rare, they do still exist. They create brooms for use during Quidditch and other Flying related activity.
CollectorRequirements: a N.E.W.T. in History of Magic and/or in Muggle Studies
Description: A witch or wizard who collects various artifacts much as the curator of a museum would.
HerbologistRequirements: N.E.W.T. in Herbology
Description: Studies magical and mundane plants and fungi.
JournalistRequirements: Understanding of the rules of grammar and spelling
Description: Writes non-fictional articles. May work for a newspaper such as The Daily Prophet or may sell articles to a newspaper.
Metal CharmerRequirements: Requires a N.E.W.T. in Charms
Description: Imbues metalcraft with magical properties through use of Charms. Their Charms have the potential to last beyond the grave, so to speak. Items commonly made by them are Golden Snitches and Sneakoscopes.
Note: Uncommon profession
MusicianRequirements: A N.E.W.T. in Music (not necessary)
Description: Makes a living through music, usually through performance, though composition and teaching are also common.
PlumberRequirements: Apprenticeship with a master
Description: Fixes or puts in piping systems and plumbing fixtures
Snake CharmerRequirements: Apprenticeship with a master
Description: Travels from place to place using Serponsortia in their work.
Note: This type of work is illegal as it violates the International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy
Spell InventorRequirements: Requires a N.E.W.T. in Charms
Description: A highly dangerous field requiring a high level of intelligence regarding magic.
Vampire/Werewolf HunterRequirements: Knowledge of vampires or werewolves and a disregard for the rules
Description: Tracking down, capturing, and harvesting parts from vampires and werewolves to sell.
Note: This is highly illegal and a good way to gain powerful enemies.
Wand MakerRequirements: Apprenticeship with a master
Description: Studies the complex craft of wandlore and uses their knowledge to create wands.
WriterRequirements: Understanding of the rules of grammar and spelling
Description: Writes textbooks and novels.
