Victoria had decided to talk the kiddos to a place where they could sun and swim. Water better place to do that than the beach. The only thing she hated about the beach was all the sand but she'd deal because a beach meant swimwear. Swimwear meant she got to look good without a corset.
Alison was sprawled out on her back with her fin in the waves. She occasionally flipped it so that the water splashed the rest of her. She was content to sunbath.
Auden on the other hand had busied himself swimming. He was extremely easy to spot since he was completely white with the exception of the jewelry he wore.

Eidel had found herself at the beach. She enjoyed the sand and the way it squished around her feet and she liked the water because it was nice and cool. The young manifest was currently chasing the waves on the shore as it receded and rushed back.
At least until a flash of white caught her attention. At least it was the first thing to catch her attention.
Her body swiveled about and she just stared for a long moment, "HIIIII!"

Auden stopped swimming the moment he heard someone call out. Treading water he looked around in hopes of spotting the person that the voice belonged to. With a dolphin like leap he dived back into the water and swam closer to shore. "Hi." He was a bit breathless from swimming.
Hearing her brother's voice Alison propped herself on her elbows and looked his direction.

She beamed cheerfully, "You are all white! And you can swim," simple observations made by Eidel.
There was a bit of rocking on her heels before she added, "I am Eidel and you are pretty anndd..."
There was a pause. What else did she want to say?

"Thank you." Auden liked being called pretty. He knew he was pretty. He worked hard at it.
To make himself comfortable he propped himself up via his elbows. He had no intentions of leaving the water. If he did that would mean he'd have to crawl with use of his hands or else turn his tail into legs. The later was doable but it took a lot of concentration and also he wasn't sure if he had shorts or something else to put on his bottom half. The last thing he wanted was to incur his moms wrath.
"Do you swim?"

Eidel settled into a crouching position so she was more or less in eye level with Auden and let out a small soft hum, "Nope! I do not swim because I do not know how! Dexter-man has not taught me about how to swim yet."
Though he promised to teach her everything she wanted to learn about.
Her expression became thoughtful, "Is it hard to swim?"

"I don't think it is hard to swim." Auden through his hand up from the water and motioned to his sister. He then returned his focus to Eidel. "Come on," he took her hands and pulled her into the water. He didn't even bother to find out if the clothing she wore was able to get wet, he just assumed so since she was on the beach in it.
Alison looked towards her brother just in time to watch him drag someone into the water. She rolled her eyes. At least it wasn't all that deep. If the girl wanted she could stand up. After stretching she entered the water and swam towards her brother, she was no were as good as him.

There was a bit of a squeak and a giggle from Eidel but she let him tug her along into the water, she didn't resist too much other than she wanted to pause and acclimate to the water. The water was ... well it was wet! Just like when she took a shower or a bath back home. Eidel wasn't sure why she was expecting anything different.
"Even if it is difficult I'd still learn! Cause then it is awesome when you figure it out, right?" Eidel asked curiously as if seeing if her theory was right or at least on track. She didn't really check to see who he had motioned to; mostly figuring he just had more friends.
YAY MORE FRIENDS.

Not that it was obvious but something clicked in his mind. It was like putting tone and one together to get two. Perhaps he needed to have Eidel's outlook. He needed to think that learning to transform his fin into a pair of legs was 'awesome'. He smiled and nodded his head, "Totally awesome."
Alison waded in the water just to the right of her brother. "Brother don't let her go," she gasped when she noticed that the girl had legs. She was atomically assuming that the girl didn't know how to swim because her brother was holding onto her. It was easier for them to learn to swim than it was for them to walk, but they had an advantage.
Auden smirked, "not planning on it. I'm gonna hold onto you Eidel and I want you to kick. Don't panic because we've got you." He wasn't exactly sure how well he'd do at teaching someone but he sure was going to give it a try.
"... Don't flail like a fish," Alison felt the need to add.

If Eidel was concerned about drowning it certainly didn't show. The concept of drowning didn't even hit her mind because she had no concept of the possibly dying because of fluid entering her lungs. If Auden wanted to practice teaching someone how to swim? This girl was probably the best for it.
No fear and trusted him implicitly despite having just met him. She held onto his hands with her own instinctively and kicked her legs a bit as instructed.
The idea that she wasn't wearing proper swimming attire was also the last thing on her mind. She kicked at the water and let out small giggles, "Feels strange! It is fun! I am beating up the water!"
"..Fish don't flail!....I don't think," Eidel looked up at Auden for confirmation.

Auden smirked as he watched her beat up the water, "show that water who's boss." After letting her kick at the water for a few more minutes he pulled her to him. "Catch your breath and then I'm going to hold your hand while you tread water. It's basically moving your arms and legs at the same time. The goal is to keep your head above water."
"Like this," Alison said as she made her arm movements more obvious. She had been treading since watching them.
"Fish flail when they are out of water," Auden said thoughtfully. "I do a good job at it myself. That is why I'm doing my best with the help of family to learn to shift my tail into legs and to learn to walk."

Slowly her kicking at the water settled and she let him pull her about. She took deep steady breaths mostly because kicking about in the water was surprisingly more taxing than she thought it would be. Eidel's eyes looked toward Alison and she observed and then she looked at Auden.
"Ohh! That's neat. I only have legs." As if Auden and Alison couldn't have seen them in the first place.
After a few moments she moved her legs and arms with a little less force than she had earlier, "Like this?"

"You have very strong legs," Auden smiled, "and you're a very good kicker."
Alison nodded her head in agreement.
"Yep. You're doing great." Slowly Auden let go of Eidel so that she could tread water on her own. Despite this he did not distance himself from her. He was right there in case she happened to start sinking.

Eidel didn't seem concerned when Auden letting her go and the praise was enough to keep her going forward. It gave her confidence to keep her arms and legs moving and sooner within a span of a few moments she figured out how to best coordinate with all of her limbs.
Unfortunately? She was not the strongest swimmer, and fatigue started to show.
There was a moment where she simply stopped. Most others would panic and flail as they sunk down a bit, but Eidel was relaxed and calm and thus she just sort of floated a bit.
"..I think my arms and legs are tired." She pouted.

Auden watched over Eidel carefully. He was just about to catch her when she stopped moving her limbs but refrained when he saw her floating. "You're a natural at this."
Alison seemed to ease a bit when she saw Eidel start to float. She herself relaxed enough to float.
