I'm in dire need of some motivation. I've gone and backspaced my entire third chapter and need to start re-writing it. I want to have this damn thing finished by the end of the summer so I can give myself a nice amount of time to edit before sending it off in October (my own personal deadline). Yes, that's right, I've finally decided that I'm going to send my most precious project off to agents and companies.

I planned on finishing it by August, either of the five. My goal is just to finish one of them and ship them off. August is my set goal, but as it creeps closer I feel like I won't make it, BAD THOUGHTS. Are you already stressing abotu query letters? lol

I know how you feel. My sister moved and took my nephews with her like she owned them or something =p
Hey that's my deadline too! I want to be ready to edit, edit and edit by the beginning of September.
AND YES! I have been thinking about Query letters. They're such a drag. I've been trying my hardest not to practice writing one yet... Even though thinking about it actually helps me figure out prominent things in my book. Weird huh?
Do you have a project in particular you'd really like to see make it in print?

AND YES! I have been thinking about Query letters. They're such a drag. I've been trying my hardest not to practice writing one yet... Even though thinking about it actually helps me figure out prominent things in my book. Weird huh?

A shaky deadline, but yeah one nonetheless. So, September will be just your edit month? You've got it all planned, that is so great. That is weird, actually. That hasn't happened to me yet. I keep informing myself about Query letters, though. The what nots and stuff.
Actually, I want to see the collab in print! But that is a long way from actually happening. But I suppose I'd like to see Identification, Please in print because I am having a lot of fun thinking of games and how to kill of certain people--my mind is so cruel.

How far along with Identification, Please are you?
And the collab would be comlicated to send away since you aren't the only author. A bunch of books have been published like that though- it'd be more of a personal matter between you and your partner though. I've never been a good collab writer. I'm not a team player -_^

Both of you are planning on being published, too? Yay. I knew I wasn't alone in it, but still....
Due to my job, I don't plan on sending things out until I have Faux Hunt (the story portion after Faux Start) ready for editing, but I've hit block snag, with no set deadline. I keep wondering if I should try to drop it and change the course of her story between there and Faux "Triste" (horrible, I know, to combine French and Latin), or if I should just keep it short and have it be an abnormally large prologue to Triste.
Anyways, due to that, I haven't even started on query letters, though I do have "back of book" descriptions for Start and Hunt.
I'm also considering sending off my NaNo work, as soon as I revise the prologue (finally found an EMT for my research!), but again, I want something in reserve to send after.
Are these works posted somewhere I can "sneak peak" them? wink

Question: Do you plan on sending the series away, or something else all together? Most publishing companies won't take a second look at something that's a part of a series because they're lazy little bastards who don't want to waste their time marketing a series written by a 'nobody' author.
I don't post my serious projects. I find that posting them, for some reason, makes me lose interest. I usually only post useless 2 second blurbs- written for the sake of being written.
I'm pretty sure Yutora has some of her stuff in the guild's showcase subforum though for you to take a peeksy at. ^_^

Currently I am chapter 1.3 in that story, it's about 9k words in and I should be wrapping up that chapter soon enough. And actually, I don't do collabs either. I freak out with them, and I really don't work well with others when it comes to my babies...but she knows my writing and knows how much of an a*****e I can be about it, and I pretty much know hers by now as well. All of my characters have an appearance in every novel, it is wicked. Also, this is my way of helping her continue her writing by kicking her a** (:
She asked for it, in a sense. She doesn't even want to publish, that asshat. She keeps saying, "just put your name on it." And I am like...no! You are involved with this, stop nagging and put your damn name on it too. She still throws the fact my way that we're killing off her little favourite xD
Also, comlicated does sound pretty wicked xD
