Kilian had memories of Ayr that were both great and painful. With the first step he’d taken on this continent, he knew his life would change. Sighing, he looked around at the windy environment he now faced. He shoved those memories to the back of his mind, not yet ready to face them. He hadn’t come back here to relive them, he’d come to hunt. He’d finally decided that it was time to try his luck with the stronger dragons. Alone.
Amadia snorted at that thought.
You are not alone. The Keindred said.
I am always here with you. Kilian smiled as he looked down at his companion. “Yes, I know.” He said to her. “I’m sorry.” Kilian looked back up and noticed a shadow flying through the air. “Looks like we don’t have far to look.” Kilian said as his hands went to the hilts of his twin daggers.
He was ready for a battle. He craved the blood spill at that moment. He just wanted to forget things for a little while. He readied himself as he watched the dragon swoop down for an attack. Too late, Kilian side stepped. He was off his game that day and it seemed that it didn’t bode well for the battle. The dragon’s tail slammed into Kilian’s side, knocking the wind out of the Oblivionite.
Kilian! Amadia roared as she took off, slamming her head into the Ayrala’s side.
That didn’t do too much to deter the dragon from it’s course of action. It pulled it’s wings back, readying for a strong wind attack. Amadia swerved and ran back to where Kilian had been knocked to. The Oblivionite was struggling to breath. “I’ll...be...alright.”
The wind was just knocked out of me. Kilian opted for using their telepathic bond, something he didn’t do often. He wasn’t very good at using it though.
We must run. Amadia said as the Ayrala sent a gust of wind bellowing out towards them. It knocked both Kilian and Amadia over, sending the Keindred tumbling a few feet away from Kilian. Kilian struggled to his feet and turned heel, running as fast as he could with Amadia, determined to get away from the Ayrala...
