══════════════════════ Rules and Procedures ══════════════════════
This contest will be open for submissions until Friday, May 17th at 11:59PM EST.
I currently have three slots open for Alternate Civilian Art. All entrants must already have an accepted character with official art -- either powered up, civilian, or student, it doesn't matter which one!
The theme of this contest is May Flowers.
Your job is to write up your character in a springtime setting: anything that demonstrates how they enjoy the arrival of Spring in Destiny City, from frolicking outside to buying a new wardrobe to grumping about the rain and oncoming heat..
Your entry must contain a description of your character's outfit that is thorough enough to serve as all the artist gets! No links or references; your art will go only off of the description you give. It must also contain a description of how your character feels about spring. There's no minimum word count, nor maximum, but keep in mind that if you write a good 450 words you could always nab this to use as a solo!.
To enter, use the following code, deleting everything between the brackets before you post! You will be judged on how well you write out your outfit and how your character reacts to the situation, so make it good.
Remember: no outfit references! You must provide only a written description!
Note: You can enter this contest once per character.

Character Name:Trevor Rose Official Artwork:Official Artwork Contest Entry: Trevor loved spring time, and did not hesitate to enjoy the beauty of spring and what it gave to Destiny City. It gave color and it gave joy and it gave couples a chance to enjoy the outdoors together. He was strolling through the park. His ears taking in the sounds of the spring time birds chirping away. The breeze was pleasantly warm but not too warm and not too cold. He smell of freshly bloomed flowers filled his senses. It was definitely a nice day for a walk. He smiled as he stopped along the path to admire the freshly bloomed flowers. He hummed to himself happily, and wondered what new discoveries he would make about himself.
He was wearing a white hat that look similarly to a cowboy hat but a dark blue ribbon was wrapped around it and it was tilted slightly on an angle that gave him a cool look. He wore a white a white button up polo shirt that went from the end of the collar to the top of his torso. The collar almost looked sailor like with a black trim at very bottom of the collar and a red trim only half an inch above the black. The logo of the shirt was a oval shape with a center dip in the middle and it was located near the end of the buttons. He was wearing dark washed jeans that almost looked black, he had two pockets on either side with a mini pocket within the main pocket. The button was a bronze color and there were two smaller buttons on either side of the mini pockets and a smaller button was on the corner of the main pocket where the pocket meets with the edge of the jeans. He was wearing vans that were a light brown color with white shoelace woven into the shape of the shoe that went from the heel to the flaps that held the shoelace in place and covered the tongue of the shoe. The top of the shoe had white dots that covered the arch of where his toes are to the tongue of the shoe and had dots covering just underneath the top of the shoe and also covered the arch where his toes were. His shoes had white soles. To top it all off he was a wearing a tan jacket that could be zipped up and buttoned with two main pockets with covers on them and a zip up pocket a inch or two up from the main pockets.
His outfit was perfect for the weather that spring time provided and he figured that he would looks great in hats so it was the right time to give it a shot. Perhaps if he loved wearing it enough he would add hats to his wardrobe as a signature accessory he grinned to himself wondering what Lily would think of that idea. He stretched out and took a breath in, the fresh smell of flowers brought joy to him and he enjoyed it all the much. He nodded politely to fellow patrons as he continued his springtime stroll in the park.
Character Name:Taye Lumière Official Artwork:Official Artwork Contest Entry: Today was going to be a good day. Taye had everything planned out. He liked to wait 'til most of his clothes were soiled before doing his laundry, so he could make the most of his time. Today, that had finally happened. He had put his last outfit into his laundry basket and gone into his room to change into his pajamas. His plan was to pre-treat and wash all of his clothes. Then, have them air dry on the line outside, since it was such a lovely spring day, after all. While he waited for them to dry, he'd go play videogames in his room. It sounded like the fixings of a perfect relaxing day to him.
Unfortunately for him, something disrupted his plan. His father told him he had terrible news. "Well, you see, there was this muskrat. I was certain I could remove its a**l sacs without incident, but I messed up, they busted, one thing led to another, and they somehow ended up in your laundry basket. Worry not. I'll be taking them to get cleaned, right now. On me. Because it's my fault. I'm sorry about that."
Taye had many things to say. "What were you doing with a muskrat inside the house?" This was asked with genuine curiosity. "How do a**l sacs get anywhere near laundry?" This had a bit of rage in it. He didn't see any intuitive way of linking those two together. If anything, those two things of all of the things in the world should be kept separated.
"Oh, that! Well, you see, that really is of no consequence now. I was planning to make it for dinner and I was pretty sure you're supposed to take those out before you do and the laundry room is on the way to the deep freeze. I've done it before and it turned out fine. It was just this one time I messed up. I'm sorry. If you need any clean clothes, feel free to take any of mine. Please. I just feel horrible. I really should get going now."
Taye heaved a frustrated sigh. He appreciated his father's offer, but there was a two foot height difference between them, so he doubted anything of his would even fit.
He headed into his father's room and into the closet. Just as he expected, most of the clothes there wouldn't fit him. They were just too small. He sifted through hangers upon hangers of shirts, shorts, pants, and the like before coming upon something that, while hideous, looked like it had a chance of fitting him. It was a blue, button-up Hawaiian shirt with a pineapple and solid white hibiscus print. When he put it on, he could tell it was far too big for him. It went well below his waist and he had to roll up the sleeves, so they wouldn't go over his hands. He wondered what this was even doing here. Even accounting for shrinkage of the spine, there was no way his father ever could've fit this in life. Unless he wore it as a dress or a tunic. He wouldn't put it past the man to do so.
There was a matching pair of pants too. They would be pants on his father, anyway. On him, they were definitely shorts.
Now that he had a shirt and shorts on, he went into his room to put away his pajamas and put on some white socks and blue gym shoes.
After that, he walked outside. Before he could take a couple of steps, his mother called for him. "Taye, since you're going out, could you take the dogs for a walk?"
He looked back at her and saw her holding the leashes to four excited poodles. He very badly wanted to say no, but he couldn't work up the nerve to do so. "Yes, it's fine."
After this, he began walking around the block. He didn't feel good. Nothing had went as he planned. He had wanted to have a nice, relaxing day. Instead, he was out and about looking like a veritable fruitbowl, walking these hellhounds. These surprisingly well behaved devil's dogs. They actually hadn't done anything bad, yet. They were just looking around and sniffing at flowers and grass. He could understand their curiosity. It felt like it had been ages before he saw anything green around.
While they walked, he began naming every plant he recognized as if the dogs could understand him. "That's a dandelion. That's clover. I can't tell if it's red or white without the flowers. That's an iris. Those're violets." He stopped at a bush and waited for them do their business. "This is a rose bush. I can't tell what kind, though. Maybe a dog rose?"
After that, he went back home. He was actually glad he took that walk. He really did feel better, afterward. Maybe it was the opportunity to see all the flowers. Or maybe it was because the dogs were actually incredibly adorable when they weren't misbehaving. Either way, he was grateful for it.

Character Name:Delilah White Official Artwork:Official Artwork Contest Entry: The weather had finally begun to not only warm up but clear up! Winter's gloom had been taking its toll on the young White girl so now that the sun was shining more often, Delilah found herself normally in a much better mood!
Today was no exception.
With the late morning sun high in the sky, Delilah found herself curled up on the grass of the near by park under one of the larger oak trees. In her line of site was the newly planted, newly in bloom spring garden. It changed with the seasons so Delilah made sure she always came out once it had been planted. Why? Because she felt her muse always stirred watching the colors dance in the wind. Today was no different than any other time.
As the butterflies hoped from begonia to daisy to rudbecka, Delilah's pencil danced over the paper marking it with the new 'collection' she would be making. Everything in this book was inspired by the seasons just as the outfit she was wearing now. At least, part of it.
Black jeans and black slip on ballet flats were just an every day part of Delilah's closet. It was the top she wore that spoke of her spring fever. As pink as a tulip but as delicate as a cherry blossom, it was made of several layers of fabric, all see through but the part around her chest. Bare shoulders found loose sleeves just below the socket matching the look of the lower half of her shirt. A darker ribbon lined each changing area and had a single flower in the middle. What she had been going for? To appear when she walked to sway like the flowers in a strong breeze. It was meant to be a causal top but paired correctly, one could dress anything up.
Now, as she finished her latest dress style, a short, white, strapless dress paired with a purple boyfriend jacket, Delilah looked up. She had to smile as she watched two small children come over and start to chase the butterflies.
"To be free not to care..." She sighed, closing her book and watching them as the tree moved above her. Yes, this was an idea spring day.
When he visited London as a young boy, he remembered the rain. It was constantly overcast in England; a city full of grey fog and thick whitish clouds that smeared across the sky like one of Fritz's paintings. Dampness was simply a part of living in the U.K., a fact that had remained a part of Tolliver's life for the past nineteen years, and a fact he welcomed graciously. Even when his family relocated to Surrey, the persistent grey weather seemed to follow them wherever they went, and, oddly enough, Tolliver found it somewhat comforting.
Grey was soothing, after all. Grey was familiar.
Destiny City was not like the crowded, overcast streets of London, nor was it like the often-cloudy skies of the English countryside. It was a place filled with noise and cars and laughter, of course, but it was not grey like England. There was blue here, bright, brilliant blues and thick, sprawling parks of the brightest green, white daffodils and vibrant purple pansies in boxes showcased in the windows of various apartments.
There was hardly room for grey with all of the color, Tolliver decided, as he idly plucked at the front of his shirt, which was a dark blue (too dark for the cheerful springtime, perhaps), thin, and long-sleeved, the sleeves going down almost to the tips of his black painted fingers. It was getting a little warm for such an outfit, all things considered, but he looped his favorite moss green, faded and fringed scarf around his neck anyway.
Having more layers meant more protection, more distraction. Perhaps if people wondered why he wore so much now they would not notice the way that he limped, the way that he gripped the cane in his hand a little tighter than normal, fingers curled around the mahogany wood. The cane, unfortunately, had become a part of his life more than he wished it to, especially for someone his age, but he could not, at the moment, walk without it.
Stupid bloody accident, Tolliver thought to himself, scowling as he brushed a hand down the front of his khaki pants, many multicolored bracelets jangling as he double checked the laces of his Converse All-Stars. Tripping was about the last thing he needed right now, all things considered. Like he needed any more reason for people to stare at him.
Yeah, that's right, he thought, pushing open the front door of the loft and hobbling out. A small gust of displaced air rifled the red-orange strands of his hair, shorter and messier than Fritz's and tinged blue and green at the bottom. Everybody stare at the twenty-two year old cripple with a limp.
He was overthinking, as usual. Tolliver stopped at the front door of the apartment complex, his hand hovering in front of the latch to open it, though he hesitated to push it. He had not been outside in such a long time, not since the accident all those months ago, and he was not entirely certain he was ready to leave.
I can do this, he thought. The walls around him were so very grey.
Tolliver took a deep breath. Steady, he told himself, and gripped the cane a little tighter. It's just a short walk because it's nice outside and your physical therapist told you it was a good idea to get out.
He placed a hand on the latch, swallowed, and pushed the door open to step outside.
It was so very blue outside, Tolliver thought, several hours later as he limped back to his apartment. It was not the grey of London, nor was it the smoggy mist of the city, and perhaps it wasn't quite as familiar as he was used to.
But blue was still a good color, Tolliver decided.

Character Name:Jessica Haze Official Artwork:Official Artwork Contest Entry: It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out the hidden meaning behind the box currently siting open on her bed. It had come by post early in the morning and Jessie wasn't able to open it until after closing but now that it was open she was wishing it had gotten lost in the mail, or at least delayed. She picked up the postcard that came with it, on the front a picture of Bridal Veil Falls at Niagara Falls in New York. The back was post dated two weeks ago with a note scrawled in her mother's loopy handwriting:
Having a great time. We should be in town around Mother's day and will stick around for a few days before heading out west. Lets do a girls only day! Your dad can putter on the car and we can head out on the town.... speaking of night out on the town. Found this in a store and couldn't help but get it for you. Can't wait to see you in it. Love, Mom and Dad
"Why couldn't it have gotten lost." She groaned into the empty apartment. After placing the postcard on the dresser she finally held the 'surprise' up. It was teal.... a bright teal sleeveless dress. A bright teal, v-neck, wrap bodice, cotton dress with a semi-wide black satin 'belt' that sat right below the bust-line. The skirt couldn't be more then a hands breath longer then mid-thigh and was... flirty was the only adjective that Jessie could think of since it was gathered in a ruffle pattern which made the bottom of the dress very flowy and kind of reminiscent of a babydoll top. "Pleated! That is what it is called. The skirt is pleated." Not that actually coming up with the correct term made the dress any better in Jessie's eyes. Not by a long shot.
Unable to put it off any longer Jessie went into her master bathroom and emerged in the bright dress. The skirt swished every time she moved and Jessie was sort of right, it was a bit shorter than she thought, about a hands breath above her knee. It would cover everything when siting bout would still show off her toned legs. Observing herself in the mirror Jessie tried to be objective about the dress.
The top isn't too plunging and does show off a respectful amount of cleavage. The straps are wide Jessie held up two fingers and nodded when it was slightly wider then that, and the side is high so I could do a wrap or a bolero jacket although I don't think mom would appreciate anything that covers up her 'present'. Jessie did a quick spin in the mirror and watched as the dress fluffed out and settled to swing back against her thighs. She could feel the breeze of her twirl on her back where the dress dropped to rest the just above the small of her back. I wonder if I could do black leggings and flats... She tried to imagine it but shook her head, her mom would likely be disappointed if she added anything to her dress other then shoes and jewelry and since it would be the first time in months that her folks would be back in the state, let alone the city, so Jessie will wear the dress and deal with it. She fished out a pair of black strapie wedge heals that she knew would pair nicely with a layered necklace look; a few strand of silver chain of varying lengths, and her hair mostly up with a silver clip.
I really hope moms 'Girls Night' doesn't consist of club hopping. Jessie mentally prayed as she headed back into the bathroom to change out of the 'surprise' and back into her slacks and blouse.
Character Name:Kathryn McAdams Official Artwork:Official Artwork Contest Entry: Kathryn couldn't contain her scowl. For a day that had promised warmth and an abundance of sunshine it sure had turned nasty during her shift at the library. Now as she lounged outside the doors of the building she could feel the chill of the wind and rain hitting her bare arms. It had been too lovely for a coat so Kathryn had opted to go with an outfit that left her arms bare. Now as she stood with her arms tucked into her chest she considered if she had made a wise choice in her outfit for work. Tony had a pretty relaxed dress code for his staff and Kat mostly followed it. Today had been different. She'd received an early birthday gift from her parents as they would be out of town. Kat had gone out and found herself a nice top. The bright yellow color rivaled that of the absent sun. Its one partial sleeve sat just over her right shoulder and had a swath of fabric that spilled over into a lightly ruffled section that started at the top of the shirt and ended just above her bust line before the shirt itself. She had paired the shirt with a familiar pair of black capris. The color of the capris had faded over time but they still had plenty of wear left in them. They sat comfortably on her hip line and flared near the bottom. The pants came to rest just above her ankle.
Her shoe choice had been a pair of sandals. The shoes were high-arched platforms with a band of yellow over the spot where her foot entered the shoe at the ankle and a further band of yellow over the section where her toes would peek through. They sometimes were a pain to walk in but Kathryn liked the extra height that they afforded her.
As she watched the rain pour down she couldn't help but be excited for the change that the seasons heralded. Soon she could once again go on those nature walks that she loved so much. Her eyes brightened at the reminder as she brushed back the bangs that framed her face. She'd hastily tied her hair back today and pieces of it now attempted to escape the ponytail that she had created. Her scowl transformed into a smile at the sight of a shaft of sunlight peeking through on the horizon. It'd be too late to enjoy the rest of the day but the effect of the sunlight passing through the drops of rain was instantaneous. As Kathryn eagerly watched, a rainbow began to form. Her spirits lifted as she took in the sight. Spring was here and summer would eventually follow. As the rain began to peter out the rainbow slowly began to fade. Kat glanced at the sky before shrugging her shoulders. She'd be drenched no doubt by the time that she arrived at her apartment. She couldn't find it within herself to get too upset. Next time she'd remember to check the forecast and plan ahead.

Character Name:Caitlyn Masters Official Artwork:Official Artwork Contest Entry: Cait bounced up and did a little happy spin. She wasn't often happy to be outside, but after a few weeks confined indoors and only really being allowed out to go to school while she was in recovery, it was nice to be in the sun. For once, she wasn't in cosplay; instead she wore a short-sleeved white button-up blouse and mid-calf-length pale pink skirt, plus some white stockings and cute little black Mary Janes - all borrowed from her sister Delilah and worn at her suggestion. The light cream sash with brown embroidered flowers around her waist and cherry blossom hairpin - well, those were Cait's choices. She thought it all came together nicely; she might not be someone else today, but she felt about as pretty as she ever did in her own skin. Maybe she'd let Lila pick out outfits for her more often!
She practically skipped down the park path, pausing to glance behind her. She knew one sibling or another was following her; they always were, and even more so since she'd gotten herself badly hurt, but whichever it was, her sister (or, she supposed, her brother, but Alex always seemed to be more willing to accept that she could handle herself) was doing their best to remain hidden. Ah well, she wasn't going to let it ruin her day.
Her eyes lit up when she spotted a beautiful blooming cherry blossom. Usually, by May, the flowers were beginning to drop, but this one was hanging onto it. There was even a bench underneath - wonderful! She trotted over to it and sat down, leaning back and stretching. Why yes, today was an absolutely lovely spring day.
Character Name:Anemone Gray Official Artwork:Official Artwork Contest Entry: Boredom. Boredom was the best word to sum up how Anemone felt right now. It was only ten in the morning when Anemone finally couldn't stand it anymore. She got up from her somewhat idle location on Ellie's bed and began pacing back and forth between the space from the door and window. ********* wasn't in the hall, and ********* couldn't be seen from the window. Where was *********? She missed ********* so much that the walls of Ellie's room finally couldn't contain Anemone any longer.
Down the hall and leaping down the stairs like a child on Christmas morning, Anemone's high-waisted floral pattern ruffled skirt gave her legs plenty of room to move but when it came to stopping at the bottom her silky tights caused her to slide. It didn't cause her too much grief but a meek squeak could be heard as her body moved involuntarily further. It was but a moment after that there was a bounce to her step as she began digging around in the closest near the door.
Not unusually distracted by ********* absence, Anemone hadn't bothered to do her hair this morning so her long wavy locks dragged back and forth across the floor as she hunched over looking for shoes. She didn't recognize most of the shoes in the closet and to be honest she had no idea where her shoes were so it was no surprise that she became bored with her search before finally she gave up entirely. Who needed shoes?! Anemone clearly didn't because she jumped up and left the house without any.
Under the clear mid-morning light, it was easy to see the detail of flowers in the knitted lace in her shirt as she wandered around without direction. She didn't know where ********* was but she knew where ********* wasn't so she left Ellie's house without a care. She was guided by the cool breeze, walking with the sun to her back. In any sense of the phrase, it was a perfect spring day... or it would be if she could just find *********! She would find her, she definitely would, and then finally she could sit back and relax.
She might have continued stomping down the sidewalk but in her condition the pavement below her feet started to become a nuisance. Step after step she felt rocks, and every other step she felt other miscellaneous objects. Neither were particularly welcome so when she caught sight of the familiar park she found that the bright green May grass begun to call to her like an oasis in the desert.
She knew this park. It didn't look the same now because the snow was gone but with the warm welcome of spring she could still see the memory of that Valentine's Day morning. She was fond of it in the winter but now with the bright colours of spring popped up in the flower beds and the cold air was all but gone, Anemone found herself at peace for some reason. She didn't quite understand why this new feeling arose but her feet slid happily across the plush spring grass, running her fingertips over the slides and swinging around the swing set until she found her way to the flower beds.
Silk stocking covered feet carefully danced around the flower beds as the birds in the trees above celebrated the season until finally she found a striking growth of peonies. She didn't know what these flowers were called anymore but they were pretty and she found herself reaching out to touch them. She hesitated, feeling at a loss for a second. It was there, with her hand held out, that a smile fell across the previously forlorn face.
It was such a simple notion but for some reason, the flower beds here brought a joy to her different from any ********* ever had. Each one sparked a lightly different feeling from excitement to even sorrow when she found a few had been picked and discarded. She felt bad for the flowers, and an curious anger that she could not explain. She cared for them but she did not understand why. She wouldn't let the flower simply die there, reaching down to pick up the discarded flowers. There, like a child, Anemone tucked each one into her hair, and finally in that moment her thoughts weren't entirely filled with simply finding *********. It was small but for a moment a small piece of what used to be Theodora Argyros shone through the mask of Anemone Gray.
She could feel it. It was finally here. That glorious time of year when the husk of the old year melts away, the hard soil yielding to soft green shoots of green growing things. Almost as if she herself were one of those shoots herself, she would wake before even the first light of dawn, rolling out of bed with a quite exuberance that would make non-morning people cringe. With a focus that was seen no were else in her life, she slipped into her cloths. A simple white cotton sun-dress that had seen better days. Many better days. In fact it had patches all across it as if in testament to its years of service. patch upon patch of pastel colors across threadbare white cotton.
It was quite obvious the little sundress was a Frankenstein creation, a conglomeration of whatever fabrics she has, stitched with whatever colored thread she had laying about, though with no less of a loving hand for it. Grinning as she ran her fingers along the hem of the skirt, before letting it settle back to place, falling to just above her knees. It would need repair again, but that was part of the fun. When she first got this dress, years ago, it had fallen well past her knees. And lucky ( Or unlucky for her ) the only change she had gone through physically sense then was to grow ridiculously taller. Now she fell into that tall and willowy category... but much taller and she would have to start wearing... heaven forbid.... shorts .
With a repressed shudder she started to dig through her closet, organized to within an inch of its closet life, row upon row of shoes. Glorious shoes. Sandals, heels, pumps. A shrine to female footwear, in all its girly goodness. And tucked into a corner, were the most... well, to be honest they were hideous. A pair of rubber gardening galoshes. At some point in time they probably had a cheerful print on them... if she thought long and hard she would have flashes of memory, and could almost make it out... but now they were a blurred wash of color, scratches, and gouges from years of mucking in the dirt. Just the way she loved them. Wiggling her toes in her boots she grinned to herself, grabbing up a length of ribbon to tie her wealth of hair back from her face, she grabbed her keys, and took off into the brisk morning, the sun itself still trying to wake up.
She climbed into the truck, foregoing her little vespa. She had everything she needed already loaded into the truck anyway. Turning the engine over with a rumble, she pulled into the street, the only traffic yet on the road more likely returning from a night out then rising for the day. She drove away from the city, to the outskirts of the suburbs, turning down a road with well tended grass and shrubs lining it. The road wove through gently winding curves lined with great shade granting trees, somber and looming in the pre-dawn light. Seeing the tree that marked her place, she pulled to the side of the lane and parked, climbing out and gathering the two items from the back, one a wicker basket, the other a large dufflebag with a tray of flowering shoots balanced precariously ontop.
A march up a soft grassy hill.. She knew the way by heart. She could make it in her sleep, she had done this every year sense her childhood. The very first time she had made this trip she had been wearing these same boots, only then they had been so big the rubber sides had nearly made it up to her knees, her tiny feet unable to find purchase inside and making her trip all over herself.
She settled her load down onto the grass, surveying the plants from the last year with a critical eye, determining what could be saved, what was lost to the ravages of winter. With a skillfull hand she pruned and trimmed, tied limbs to lattice with thing string when needed, and when finally, when the sun was finally making its way into the sky, she planted the little bundles of green if the freshly tilled earth below. Wiping her face with the back of her hand, careless of the smudge of dirt and grime of streaked across her face, she flopped down to the ground, her back to a large slab of stone and pulled the wicker basket closer to her.
The sun peeked over the first of the trees, sending streaks of golden light across the grass. Everyone thought she loved spring so much... And in truth it made sense. She loved gardening, she loved the animals that came with it, the freedom of sandal weather. But the truth was, she hated spring, and every year that it came brought new heart break. Every year was a little bit better, but she didn't think there would ever be a year that she welcomed spring with a whole heart. The light crawled closer, until a finger of golden rays curled across the tip of one of her boots, her legs sprawled ungracefully before her. She opened the basket and pulled out a container of berries, a little wedge of cheese, and bottle of water that had been partially frozen overnight, making it deliciously icy now.
No... she didn't like spring at all. She dreaded it. ever sense she was a little girl. She sat in the same place she did every year on the anniversary, ever sense she was a little girl tripping over boots that weren't hers, and many sizes to big. She ate breakfast with her mother, as if talking to a slab of granite were the most natural thing in the world, her long iridescent hair obscuring the words " R.I.P. Maggie Catling, Beloved Wife and Mother ".
This time she told her mother a magical story like she used to when she was a child, a story of magical lanterns, talking cats, and superheros and villains from other worlds who battled for the planet.
Character Name:Xander Jacobs Official Artwork:Official Artwork Contest Entry: [describe their outfit as well as their springtime enjoyment, as if this were an entry RP post]
Xander sat in the hospitals new garden with a gaggle of small girl dressed in little outfits with hospital gown and jackets over them to keep them warm. Each had a bracelet with the name and information on it and many had flowers woven and braided into their hair. He'd volunteered to help with the new garden, but in his helping his hair came loose from it holder and he red curls tumbled over his shoulder in every which direction.
After that the girl saw fit to kidnap him or rather is hair. He didn't know how they managed it, but them had given him a braid around his head like a crown and woven and in flowers and grass, a few braids were dispersed though out the free flowing hair always with flowers braided into them. There was much giggling and the other nurses and doctors that were helping flashed pictures on there phone and even some strangers going by. Xander didn't mind. The girl were having fun and he was one of the few not covered in dirt, so he couldn't be too upset.
One child tucked a flower in the solid deep blue button down shirt, his sleeves rolled up as he had been helping dig in the dirt prior to his kidnapping, or hair hijacking, whatever one wanted to call it. He wore jeans, which was unusual for him, only part of his shirt was tucked and the other half coming untucked. He wore a bracelet of flowers to match his crown and really just looked rather silly overall. There was much pointing and lots of giggling and one little girl, about 10, had even told the doctor that she wanted to marry him which resulted in a round of laughter all around.
Xander responded with a, "but I'm so old. When you get my age I'll be ancient. I bet there is someone much better than me and I'm sure you'll meet him one day." He got a nod from the little girl before she ran off with a few other kids still proclaiming she would marry him. Xander laughed and shook his head, before turning slightly red at the nurses blatant teasing, "we want to marry you to Dr. Jacobs." He really didn't get them sometimes, he honestly didn't think he was much.
He tied a one of his plain black tennis shoes decided that they should all probably get back to actually finishing the garden. "Alright girls. I think the ground could use more flowers don't you," he said getting up despite attempts to decorate his hair some. "Let's get finished up, so we can play a game alright."
