People have been disappearing, always when they are alone. These are just simple folk, villagers, kids, even a couple of them were academy students. Because of these tactics, we believe it is a single individual working alone. A suspicious man believed responsible has been seen lurking about the Hyuga ruins. Your mission is to find the kidnapped victims, and stop any and all responsible. Bring back proof, dead or alive.

 Louisa led the way to the ruins that Zasso had mentioned. It was a bit of a distance, but Louisa had memorized the surrounding area around the village so it wasn't an issue for her. Once they arrived, she turned to the other two. "Now, first off, since we're searching for someone, do either of you have any tracking abilities? I can sense nearby presences but faraway people are difficult and I cannot identify those who I have never met."
This was important for their mission. If they couldn't find the kidnapper through chakra techniques they were going to have to resort to physically searching the area or setting up a trap. That would take time and effort. Scanning the area would be quicker and more efficient use of their time and Zasso had said it was important they find this man as quickly as possible.

Elizabeth followed Louisa until they arrived at there destination then listened to what she asked
"Nope, I've not got any tracking abilities to speak of."
She told Louisa
...that doesn't mean I can solve every problem that comes my way.

Kimi Inuzuka  "Someday, daddy..." ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kimi raised her hand meekly at the need of a tracker. Her and Akihiro obviously were born for this purpose. With a smirk and nod of her head she confirmed her abilities. "Akihiro and I can be the trackers. We can use our noses to find a scent." Akihiro barked in agreement and wagged his tail excitedly. This was going to be the pairs first real mission so they were very nervous but still ready to go. "Is there something we can base the scent off of? Or are we narrowing it down by elimination?" Kimi asked either of the girls before her. "....someday, you will come home to me." ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Louisa sighed at Elizabeth, but perked up at Kimi. "Excellent! Unfortunately, Zasso-sensei didn't give us anything with the man's scent on it or anything like that, so we're just going to have to narrow down our search to trial and error." Louisa motioned with her arms to the area around them. "Shouldn't be too difficult as there isn't much around here, but stay vigilant as this guy might have set up traps or other clues to throw us off."
She faced Kimi and Akihiro, her hands on her hips. "Now, let's start off. Do you guys smell anyone or anything around here?"

Kimi Inuzuka "Someday, daddy..." ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kimi and Akihiro stuck their noses slightly in the air. Little sniff could be heard coming from either of them. Akihiro's were obviously louder and sounded as though he had a stuffy nose. Normal smells began to fill their noses. Forest, animals, and the two girls around them. Then they started to zero in on a strange scent. It smelt almost mechanical. Like copper or oil. Furrowing her brow she looked to her companion to see if he had caught on that scent too. Her dog looked to her with a confirming expression, so Kimi decided to tell the girls. "We smell something a bit strange. It smells like a coppery, oily type smell." Kimi said. Her hands motioning her process of explanation. She then sniffed the air again, tapping into the stenches direction. "It's coming from that direction." She stuck her finger out. "North, I think." Kimi spoke. "....someday, you will come home to me." ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Louisa looked in the direction that Kimi pointed. "Alright then. Let's head that way. Let me know when we're close, ok?" Louisa led the way in front, one hand on her sword at the ready. Her breathing steadied, focusing its rhythm in order to tighten her focus area for her kekkei genkai. Nothing could get too uncomfortably close without her knowing now.

I may be called a genius, but....
Elizabeth had been listening to everything being said but had remained quiet since she didn't really have anything relevent to say. When Louisa headed off Elizabeth followed behind, her appearance wasn't as lazy as it had been thus far. As she followed Louisa she glances around a bit, looking at the ruins of what was once a Hyuga village while listening for anything the other's might say.
...that doesn't mean I can solve every problem that comes my way.

Kimi Inuzuka "Someday, daddy..." ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kimi and Akihiro kept their noses on alert as they held up the back of the group. Akihiro's nose was to the ground, while Kimi's was raised towards the sky and pivoted with her head, scanning the area. Akihiro suddenly barked and stuck his nose deeper into a pile of rubble. Kimi halted and called for the other. "I think we found out where the smell it coming from guys." She lowered her body closer to the ground and sniffed. The smell was coming from under the rubble. "It's under all of this devastation." She confirmed with a hand petting the top of Akihiro's head proudly. "....someday, you will come home to me." ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Louisa didn't sense anything from the rubble, but her kekkei genkai didn't do well with places without a lot of air. Under all that rock, there probably wouldn't be too much, making her ability useless. "Alright......" Louisa was a little unsure of what to do next. They didn't really have time to dig through, but if someone was under this rubble they probably needed help. She just didn't know how to move the rock without making a bigger problem for the trapped. She stared at the rubble a bit before speaking up, still looking at the pile of rubble. "Do either of you have earth style jutsu? We might be able to move this safely with that. I don't want to make getting under this a problem or a possibility to injure us."

Elizabeth stopped when the other's stopped and listened to what each said. When she heard Louisa ask about earth style jutsu she looked at the rubble and thought about it for moment before saying anything. "I'm an earth style user. I could use my hidden mole jutsu to dig down and see what is below" She told Louisa

"I also use earth style jutsu, but I feel it best if Elizabeth handle this. I'm a bit low on practice." She laughed slightly embarrassed. She hadn't really trained much, she had only just graduated from her village's academy before the war. Akihiro trotted over and sat his large rear down on the ground next to Kimi. She reached out and scratched his ears almost without knowing. Louisa nodded at the two girls. It was good to know what else her teammates could do, besides their obvious traits. "Go ahead Elizabeth. Be careful though ok? If anything comes up you can't handle just get back here. Better we be together to fight off the kidnapper."
She turned to Kimi, her mind still in leader mode. "We'll stay here and monitor the area until she gets back. Let me know if anyone comes up on your end and I'll keep my senses open too. This could be a trap to separate us."

Unknown to the group, under the rubble they would find a rather large trap door; much like the entrance to a cellar or basement; a rather large loc and a few seals placed on the entrance way.

Elizabeth nodded at Louisa then using her hidden mole jutsu disappeared underground. As she searched though the rubble she soon came upon a rather large looking door she scanned around carefully making sure to take note of what she saw. She then returned to the surface and looked over at Louisa. "There wasn't much down there but I did find a rather large door with a big lock and a few seals placed on it. The door itself looked like a door that usually leads to a cellar or basement" Elizabeth told them
