There is much I have to learn about secret societies. Secret technologies. Government agendas. My main question is how do we resist them? They are already, so powerful. Every time I talk with people about this stuff they look at me like I am some sort of lunatic.

The thing is that people just don't care.

When you dig deep enough you eventually hit this gooey core of nihilism and most people just don't want to deal with that s**t. So they keep their eyes closed because ignorance, willful or involuntary, is bliss most of the time.

You don't. Eventually every single thing we believe in comes down to faith. This applies to the most minuscule scientific measurement to the most extravagant religious cosmology. It all eventually boils down to some degree of faith. Some degrees have more to solidify them than others.
