Write a love letter to your worst enemy
Conveying emotion through first person narrative can come across as clunky if poorly written. Now imagine trying to convey those wondrous feelings of love to someone you detest... This isn't going to be a cake walk contest so the deadline isn't going to be until:
June 15 2013
Rules and guidelines
1. Must be creative 2. No swearing 3. I want it to be edited 4. I want it to be between 800 and 1500 words 5. Please send your submissions to me via personal message with “Dear Enemy” in the subject line.
There will be only one winner slot for the contest. Want to know what you're writing for?
30 000 gold and the item: Heartbreaker

Also, does the love letter have to be about conventional love (romance) or can it be one of bittersweet forgiveness? Or do we have to write as if we are IN LOVE with our enemy?

It can be about any of the above. Be creative. I want to see some originality. Heck it could be a stalker type love letter to your enemy for all I care. That's the beauty of writing. You can take the general idea of a topic and work it the way you want to. The only thing that needs to remain consistent is that it's a love letter (any kind of love) written to your worst enemy.

Perfect outlet for me ;D Hopefully what I turn out isn't just a bunch of incoherent words filled with emotion! XD

The point of this contest is to help give structure to first person narrative- something a lot of inexperienced writers have trouble with.

All members who submit for contests will receive feedback whether they win or not. I want people to learn and develope their skills. Don't sweat it though. I'm sure whatever you write will be fine!

Chronic_Heartbreak14 silly question, but who should it be addressed to? 'my dearest enemy'? or a specific name? XD That's not a silly question at all my dear. You can address it however you wish. You can use their name or a catchy one liner that describes them, such as: Dear malevolent mister who has consequently ruined my life, over and over.
It's completely up to you.
Best of luck with your submission!
