Set on 100 acres of land, Lucid's home and property are set far apart from society. He prefers to live in solitude, not liking when people bother him or venture onto his property unless he allows it.
His property is surrounded by a barrier of dense trees, giving it an even more closed off feeling, thick enough that the light hardly breaks through to the foliage underneath them. To the west of the building is a private garden with all types of plants, flowers and decorative trees. A gazebo, near the middle of the garden serves as a place where he can sit and relax.

❝ I may come out as cruel and ruthless.....

Lucid was fuming the entire way back to his home. He was so angry he almost crashed into a couple of cars on the freeway, narrowly avoiding them by swerving just in time. He looked back at Lux through his rear view mirror, noticing she had mustered up every fiber of her anger in one narrowed eyes glare and he laughed coldly. "Such a feisty b***h you are, just wait until I properly get my hands on you when I get home, just because of your behavior today and that damn slave keying my car, you're in for a big punishment. Such a shame really, already you're causing trouble." He turned back to the road and watched, silent most of the while but every once in a while throwing back insults and what he was planning to do to her if she tried defying him again. He had plenty of ideas for that.
Finally just as the sun was going down, they pulled into a side road, the dense trees closing in quickly on both sides. The air was considerably cooler here than in the city and definitely fresher so Lucid rolled down his window, breathing in a big breath of it and looking in the rear view mirror at Lux. "Closed off and secluded, just the way I like it, then no one will hear the screams." He said. "Well, there won't be any screams if you choose to obey me that is." Turning ahead, he watched as small lights slowly came into view through the branches of the trees in front. He finally got to a clearing, in the middle of which stood his home. To their right was his private garden but it was too dark to see anything clearly. Lucid pulled into his driveway then turned off the engine and leaned back to stare at Lux. He had made the entire drive purposefully uncomfortable for the girl and he was going to make her first night her even more uncomfortable. "You're going to sleep in a cell underground tonight and it has the same charms as in the back seat so don't try escaping, it's no use." Getting out of the car, the former angel stood up straight and moved to examine the damaged parts of his car. Hissing in fury at what he found, the man marched over to the front seat, took out a pair of gloves he had for cold weather then moved to back seat and grabbed Lux, dragging her out of the car then up the steps of his home. He had used to gloves so she wouldn't try freezing his skin off and made sure to keep the gag in for now. He would take it off once she was behind bars.

❝ I love feeling alive—
I love walking out in the cold
In my bare feet
And feeling the ice on my toes. ❞

Lux growled at him through the gag, easily brushing away the harsh insults and cruel words that he shot at her. The threat, however, made her openly shudder a little. She didn’t know what he meant by “big punishment” but that really didn’t sound like the sort of thing she wanted to be dealing with. In fact, it sounded like the last thing she needed. Generally, things that sound so ominous are detrimental to one’s health, rather than beneficial—great. Just bloody great. But still she was determined to not submit to this a*****e—he could threaten and verbally abuse all he wanted but, even if she couldn’t hide the streak of fear from her gaze, she didn’t intend to give up so easily.

No, that fear only made her more dangerous.

Despite the gag a small sigh pushed through her lips, coming out with a slightly more nasally sound because of it, admittedly relieved a little when he opened the window—even if it was only up by him. While she had been forced to stop physically struggling—the heat that began to build up in the back quickly weakening her and pushing her to a point where any other exertion would easily knock her out—so when the cool air pushed back through the bars, cooling her down some despite the charms that blocked her powers. While it was far from rejuvenating, it was certainly a little bit relieving—it added a little bit of comfort that she hadn’t had before, although she was still far from being ‘comfortable’. No, she’d need the roles, collars, and talismans gone before that could happen.

Her eyes narrowed when he spoke, the implications behind his words quite clear. That was, after all, assuming he could make her scream. Which he wouldn’t, if she had any say in the matter. No, that made her top five things to never give this guy—the few above it being ‘victory’, ‘obedience’, and ‘purity’. She had no intention of giving him the ‘satisfaction’ of hearing her scream, but the list just went on and on. He would regret buying her, if she had anything to do with it. If he thought that bite hurt, he could just wait—he was in for some hard times.

She was limp in the back of the car, her physical state admittedly weakened by what had been a long, painful ride for the ice wielder, but the determined fight that flashed across her eyes never left. That venomous glare, filled with malice and loathing, never left her eyes. From her position, sprawled out on the seat, she couldn’t see where they were. She was acutely aware of the fact that they were no longer in the city, and his earlier words had confirmed that assumption, but she otherwise couldn’t see a thing. Between her position and the darkness outside the car she only could tell one thing: it was just another place to escape from. But that had nothing to do with where she was—any place that wasn’t home met that requirement.

When he turned around to watch her she let out another wordless growl, squirming a little not to fight the bindings—which she had long since given up on getting out of—but rather to express that she wasn’t giving up that easily. He could do whatever he damn well pleased, to an extent, but she did not intend to just bow her head and go along with it. He could tell her to ‘not even try’ but that wouldn’t stop her—it wouldn’t stop her from raising bloody hell and fighting All. Night. Long.

When his hands were suddenly on her she was fighting again, squirming and writhing as if he had just touched her with hot coal. Admittedly, she wasn’t in any particular pain… but the fact that he laid his hands on her so easily scared her; if he wasn’t afraid of her to the point where he’d drag her along without hesitation then how was she to know he wouldn’t try worse?

As soon as she was freed from the confines of the car, the lower levels of her powers that no collar could block suddenly released, ice spread out. Over the ground, over the outsides of the car, up his arms… there was no control to her struggle—it was all a desperately instinctual fight, one that she was quickly loosing. He dragged her along the ground, the earth painfully biting into her legs and the stairs bruising her shins. With her ankles bound she could barely stand up straight on her own, her balance severely impeded, but walking or any sort of movement was impossible.

Despite the fact that she couldn’t get anywhere even if she did escape his grip Lux continued to violently struggle. She didn’t want to go in there. She felt like if she went into that house she might not be able to ever get out.

                                She was scared.

She shouted wordlessly through the gag, squirming and lashing out and freezing everything that she could lay her aura on. She wasn’t entirely sure what she was ‘in for’ but she sure as hell didn’t want to find out. Unfortunately she didn’t really get a choice in the matter—she was stuck, and nobody but her would ever be able to save her.

                                ❝ Beauty, like ice, our footing does betray;
Who can tread sure on the smooth, slippery way:
Pleased with the surface, we glide swiftly on,
And see only the dangers that we cannot shun. ❞

❝ I may come out as cruel and ruthless.....

Lucid kept a firm and tight grip on Lux as he dragged her inside. She was quite a fighter and the sudden explosion of ice over the immediate area around him and the girl surprised him, but he endured the cold, just glad his fingers weren't frozen. He could break off the ice around his arms easily and the ice on his car and the ground would melt when the sun came up, besides he had more pressing matters to attend to. As in throwing Lux in the cell downstairs and making her suffer even more by rendering her powers void until she learned to behave or at least start learning. She was getting frustrating, but Lucid realized that even though she fought him at every turn he quite liked her fiery temper and besides, he liked punishing slaves and broken ones were never fun. They never fought back and he was getting bored of all the submissiveness and fear they had for him so he had decided to pick something completely different. Lux was the perfect slave and he had known as soon as he had had that small conversation with her back at Mistress Pallas' estate.
Turning back to the task at hand, Lucid made sure there was nothing she could do to escape then continued to the back of the building. Turning right, he held her tight with one hand and arm, ignoring the biting cold from her conjured ice and opened a door that revealed a set of stairs leading downwards into darkness. Dragging Lux down while she was struggling so hard proved to be difficult, but Lucid had a strong enough stance that he wasn't toppled backwards from her continuous squirming. Once they were down, he kept her still, wrapping his arm around her throat and squeezing so she would stop moving so much then reached forward, feeling for the chain that dangled from the ceiling light bulb. Finding it as his fingers brushed against it, he pulled down, revealing a fairly large area with rows of holding cells, three on each side. It held only a small cot with blankets and a little toilet off to the back corner for when a slave was being particularly hard to deal with and had to be kept in for more than a day. He had built them so the cells were open on all sides but the back wall, cold iron bars impossible to break by human means. He had placed nullifying charms on each on of them in order to make sure he had complete control.
Taking Lux over to the nearest one, he struggled as he opened the door then tried shoving her in. Finally he threw the girl into the cell and before she could get up Lucid locked the cell and walked over to the stairs. "You'll be getting one piece of bread and a pint of water once a day until I think you're behaved enough to be given it twice a day. If you defy me when I come down here again I will have your wrists and ankles shackled to the wall and your back whipped." He gave her a stern glare. "Also I'll be keeping the light on but as like I said before, if you defy me I will make your situation even worse than it is right now." Deciding to watch her for a few minutes, Lucid sat on the bottom step and studied Lux. She really was quite attractive and hot tempered despite her cool origins.

❝ I love feeling alive—
I love walking out in the cold
In my bare feet
And feeling the ice on my toes. ❞

Lux didn’t even think about giving up as she was dragged into the house, her thrashing, freezing, and squirming only becoming more frantic as she was dragged through the grand estate. Her arm burned, the pale skin bruising in his tight grip despite every effort she made to get him to let her go. Even now that he had removed the ropes and gag, making it a lot easier to try and pull herself out of his grip and fight the direction she was being dragged in, she found herself unable to physically overpower him—she shouted and cursed, insulting him in every way she could think of, kicking and hitting him when she realized she couldn’t stop him.

As they drew near the top of the stairs her eyes flashed with fear again. She did not want to go down there. Anybody with even a single braincell could tell you that going down there would be a bad idea. Her free hand shot out, latching onto the doorframe in a strained grip that made her wince. After a few moments of struggle, however, he dislodged her and continued down into the terrifyingly dark pit.
”Let me go!” she demanded in a rebellious shout, grabbing onto the arm that was holding her with her other arm and trying to dig her nails into his flesh, ice spreading out around her hand. Her attempt was quickly countered, however, when his other hand lashed out and pulled her against him, his arm quickly moving around and clenching over her throat.

Letting out a pained gasp, Lux released her freezing grip on his arm so that she could use both hands to try to pry his arm away. Struggling for breath as her legs kicked out against him, Lux didn’t pay Lucid much mind as he searched for the light in the darkness. She winced when the bulb jumped to life, blinding her and disorienting her for a moment—just long enough for him to successfully drag her across the room and throw her onto the ground of the cell. She whipped around, throwing her full weight against the barred door, visibly wincing as pain shot through her shoulder. She grasped onto the bars with her hands, pulling against them and pushing so that the door rattled loudly in objection to her efforts. And again, she couldn’t summon ice. No matter what she tried, not even the breath that fluttered through her vivid lips fogged as it usually did.

”Let me out of here, you b*****d!” she shouted, pulling forcibly against the bars—so hard, in fact, that she flew backwards, her hands having slipped away from the gritted metal and sent her flying into the ground. She winced, her legs propped up a little bit in front of her as she shot a cold glare at the man, who was perched on the stairs. ”So what? Why would I ever ‘behave’ for somebody like you!” she shot sharply, her voice and gaze sharp with determination. ”I’ll defy you however much I want! You don’t hold any authority over me!”

Despite her tough words, however, it was fairly clear how terrified she was—she couldn’t use her powers and there was no way to get out of this cage. Regardless of what she said, she was petrified. She was, physically, weak in comparison to him and he had somehow blocked her powers in its entirety—there was really no way for her to stand up against him. And she had no doubt that he knew that, too.
”You’re just a coward!” she accused, pushing herself to her feet and backing up until her back hit the wall, her strong gaze never wavering as she slid back down to the ground, sitting as far away from him as she could manage.

❝ I may come out as cruel and ruthless.....

Frowning down at the ice Lux had managed to encase around his bare arm before he'd thrown her in the cage, he carefully pried it off his skin, making sure he didn't tear off any of it; the ice was pretty tight and almost like an armor. He could already feel his arm getting numb but as soon as the ice had been taken off it began warming up. He was impressed by the coldness of it, it had almost instantly numbed his skin and it hadn't melted as fast as normal ice.
Turning to the girl, he could practically smell the fear on Lux and Lucid smiled in satisfaction as he watched her try to get out of the cage, but it was a futile effort, he just found it entertaining that even out of all of the things he had done to her and how even knowing she couldn't get out or escape she continued to struggle. Oh well, she'd tire out more easily and he wouldn't have to hear her shouting from upstairs.
"Why in the world would I let you out when I myself put you in there in the first place?" The man smirked, leaning back against the stairs and watching her coolly, his expression one of amusement. No matter how hard she struggled or bashed against the bars, she would never get out. Now he just had to play a patience game and Lucid was extremely talented at those. He wondered if Lux was. She certainly was showing that she was more scared than her bold words indicated. She would break sooner or later and beg to be let out of that cage...just not now.
"Me? A coward? No, I'm preventing you from hurting yourself or making me angry, be grateful I didn't chain you up." He glared, frowning. "Also, sooner or later you will cave in, it's just a matter of time and I suspect you know yourself that as well so save both of us the hassle and just listen to me." Standing up, Lucid walked over to the cage and leaned forward, inspecting Lux. She didn't seem seriously hurt at all from the fall she had taken just a few minutes ago, just sore and maybe a bit humiliated. "You do know you're going to stay in that cage with minimal food and water until you tell me you'll start obeying my orders. Such a pity too, there's such a nice bed waiting upstairs for you and a bath and you won't have to have your powers held in check." Giving her a mock sad look, he tilted his head, studying her. She really was quite attractive, too bad the girl was so stubborn.

❝ I love feeling alive—

”Oh, right. Be thankful to the ignorant pig that had you tied up, dragged you around, then tossed you in a cage like an animal. Oh thank you oh so much, you cowardly b*****d, for keeping me away from where I belong and imprisoning me in the disgusting basement of your house with no privacy.” Lux shot, her voice so heavily laden with sarcasm you could practically see it dripping from her words. ”Go find a hole to die in!” she shot after, her voice turning cold as she folded her arms on top of her knees, which were pulled up to her chest, resting her head behind them so only her vivid eyes were visible through the hair and barrier of flesh.

His next words made her blood boil and she grit her teeth, trying to hold back the slew of things she wanted to say to him. He was wrong: she’d never break. Not for him or any other man! He could try whatever he wanted but she intended to get back to her home, and she hadn’t yet run into a situation she couldn’t get out of. So, quickly picking up on his posture and tone and not wanting to be the source of his sick amusement, she turned her face away with a sharp ‘hmph’, removing him from her view as if he were some sort of rodent not worthy of her gaze. Lux had no intention of letting him get off on this; no, he’d regret the day he thought it’d be a good idea to imprison her.

His taunting words made her move quickly to her feet, her temper flaring as she shot him a glare that could easily kill. She couldn’t tell if he was taunting her or just trying to get her to sell herself out—either way, it wasn’t going to work. There was no way, at all, that she would just submit to him and give him whatever he wanted to hear. Instead she responded with an almost pitying smile, though her eyes still flashed with hate, and once he was done going on about all the things she could have if she just agreed to his ‘conditions’ she opened her own mouth to speak.

”How does your finger feel, still sore?” she mocked in return lifting her chin, though she stayed far back in the cell—using the metal bars as an ironically protective barrier, ”I mean, your blood is disgusting but if you really insist on being such an a** I may just have to do that again.” she paused her smile flashing into a smirk, ”To show you who’s got control over me.” she added in a dark tone, now turning her face away again as she crossed her arms in sharp rebellion. And she’d do it, too—if he got close enough she’d have no qualms in biting him. It was the only self defence she had now, anyways.

Admittedly she was a little nervous about mocking him in such a way. Honestly, antagonizing him probably wasn’t the best idea. Sure, she was confident that she could take him on in a fair fight where she was well rested, had access to her full powers—not just the set that was severely muted by that collar—and had a weapon, but as she was now she knew that he could easily overpower her. Her abilities were sealed, she was tired and hungry, and he had access to weapons and, minus some numbness and a bite wound, was at 100%. Not to mention he had already proven that he could easily physically dominate her with the limited abilities she had currently.
”Just leave.” she ordered, as if she had the authority to do so, ”Unless you intend to let me out I have no use of you.”

❝ I may come out as cruel and ruthless.....

Lucid watched Lux silently, the only sign of emotion was the fiery look of anger in his eyes and his clenched jaw. He had half a mind to open that cell and show her just how bad of a situation she was in, but he held himself back. She would want that and he was not to be so easily manipulated. He could tell that he was getting to her also and he was not going to lose in this battle of wits. He would stay down here all night if he had to.
"My finger is already healed if you were wondering....It's fascinating...makes you wonder what else my powers can do...." He looked sideways at her, his eyes cold and piercing. She was not going to make him mad just because she had been able to get past his defenses that once. He would need to keep a close eye on Lux to make sure she never bit him like that again.
"Oh, almost forgot....how does it feel not having your powers? I could do this.." Standing up, the male walked over to the heating controls on the wall at the base of the stairs and turned it up a few degrees. He had seen her hyperventilating when they were in the car and he wondered if one of the uses of her powers was to keep her skin cool. She wasn't just an ordinary demon and her kind lived up in the treacherous snow covered mountains where hardly anything could survive. Lucid was going to experiment on her and he didn't even have to touch the girl in some of them. He'd find her weaknesses and use those for torture if needed until she eventually caved in. It was going to be an enjoyable time breaking her down.
"It feels a little cool down here doesn't it? Why don't I warm the place up for you?" Giving her a smirk, Lucid sat back down on the second to last bottom stair step and watched her, bringing his knees up and wrapping his arms around them, leaning forward to study what would happen. "You do know that you're in no position to be ordering me around right demon? I am the dominant one in this household and always will be so stop trying to tell me what to do and just listen to my orders and rules. They're quite simple really, obey me always, never go off the grounds and always ask permission if wanting to do something different than your usual daily schedule of cleaning, cooking, all that." Placing a hand back behind him, Lucid leaned against it, giving Lux a bored expression. "You know it would be so much easier if you just gave in to my suggestions, I won't have to punish you if you do and it would be better for you."

Lux shot him an even more furious glare, baring her teeth as if to challenge him to get close enough for her to bite him again. Maybe if she bit it off it wouldn’t heal back so quickly.
”I don’t really care, honestly.” she shot with the haughtiness of a princess, ”I’m not going to be deterred by your ambiguous bull shitting, if that’s what you were thinking. No matter how quickly you heal, I won’t submit to you so easily!” she warned, her vivid gaze sharp and furious. But concern flashed across her expression when he began to move, her gaze flashing back and forth between him and the switch that be began to play with. She felt it immediately when the temperature began to rise. A light veil of sweat broke out over her quickly paling features as she shifted with discomfort, letting her legs go so they could press against the stone floors—at least it retained some of the previous coolness.

”You can do whatever you damn well please—it won’t change a thing.” Lux growled, closing her eyes as she tried to stop the obvious signals of discomfort. ”Heat it up all you want; you’re the one who’ll have to haul out a body.” she growled, trying to play it cool—honestly, she was terrified of dying… but if he didn’t know that he couldn’t use it against her. She returned his smirk with a scowl, warily glaring at him as she continued to squirm in a desperate attempt to find a comfortable position. If he warmed the place up any more… well, she could very easily get quite sick, which would be bad for both of them. She fell silent, the heat quickly sapping her fight and her energy. It just made her lethargic, made her weak, and made her feel absolutely horrid. All in all, not good. So, when he continued speaking, his suggestions didn’t sound all that bad… it would be a temporary fix, after all, but at least it would be one step away from this and one step towards lax enough situations that may allow escape. Of course, she’d have to be patient…

”Fine.” Lux relented, gasping a little as her breath fell short, the steadily increasing heat beginning to make breathing more laborious than necessary. ”Fine, I’ll do it.” she agreed, sounding a little desperate—just some salt and pepper for the act, of course. ”Just turn the heat off!” Well, that came off as pretty sincere. Her skin had gone from pale to flush in a matter of minutes, a sheen of sweat making her usually cool skin glisten under the light. Of course, there were certain things she wouldn’t do… calling any man “master” being at the top of that list. In fact, she was damn determined to not call him by anything even remotely polite at all—leaving any title or name he held out of the question. To her he was simply That b*****d or The Pig, and she was quite content leaving it at that. Although, she’d probably have to avoid saying that to his face. Insulting somebody didn’t exactly go along with gaining their trust so that you could betray them, after all.

❝ I may come out as cruel and ruthless.....

Lucid watched the entire spectacle coolly, his face showing no emotions though his heart jumped a beat when he saw just how desperate Lux was getting. The corners of his mouth twitched but he decided to keep his satisfaction in check. There would be time later to celebrate his victory and rub it in her face. He wasn't an idiot though. Getting too cocky asked for mistakes and she was the last person he wanted to make a mistake around, with her sharp wit. If she saw an opening, he knew she would sure as hell put her life on the line just to gain an inch toward it.

Deciding to stop with the torturing for the moment, Lucid turned the heat dial down. He enjoyed watching her squirm, but he didn't want her to get too sick. "I'm keeping you in here for now until I decide you have good enough behavior to be wandering my home. I hope you understand. This is for your own safety." Standing up, he slowly walked forward, his gait that of a predator moving to its victim, knowing they had nowhere else to go. He knew he was in control of the situation and even though Lucid wasn't cocky, he was smart, playing his cards at the right moment. He still had things up his sleeve for whenever she misbehaved, but he would do it all gradually so she wouldn't break and so she'd be conditioned to follow his orders. What was that saying he had heard once? The Devil leads you down to hell by flaxen cords. That was what he was planning on doing with Lux. He'd weave one thread at a time until she realized too late just how thick of a web she was entangled in.

Leaning forward as he got to the side of the cage, Lucid regarded the sorry excuse of a demon and smirked slightly. "What do you want to eat? Something cold I'm guessing, maybe some kind of salad or even cold meat. I have some chicken in the fridge. I'll get you a drink with ice as well." He straightened back up again. "I may seem cruel but once you learn to not defy me you'll find out I'm quite a gentleman." He wasn't boasting, he was just plain out stating the facts. Lucid wasn't a humble person. If he was skilled in a talent or knew how to do something well, he always said he was, He thought it was wasteful and fishing for compliments whenever people said they were bad or they looked ugly when they clearly were the complete opposite. "What will it be lady?" The man asked, raising an eyebrow. "Anything specific you eat I need to know about?"

❝ I love feeling alive—
I love walking out in the cold
In my bare feet
And feeling the ice on my toes. ❞

Lux half melted with relief when the heat began to dissipate from the room, the light panting quality to her breathing remaining as she tried to return to the cool temperature she was supposed to be at.
“I… just eat meat. Vegetables don’t grow in my home, so I’ve never had them.” she finally noted, her gaze dropping down as a scowl fell over her face. It disturbed her how easily she had given in as soon as he turned the heat up — literally — and even now… sure, she couldn’t escape if she wasn’t alive, but it bothered her that she was playing along with his game. Just for now, Lux… just until you can go home. You just have to cooperate for a little while — it’s not cooperating, it’s setting the stage. Think of it like that. she tried to assure herself, the scowl melting away to a sullen and distant expression that almost made it seem as if she were meditating or lost in thought rather than plotting his potential downfall and her inevitable escape.

The demoness squirmed, wriggling along the wall until she was as far into the corner as she could get — staying well out of his grasp and keeping her icy gaze down on the ground. What was he still hanging around for? What the hell did he want with her. Well, at least on the plus side this area of the wall seemed cooler than where she’d been sitting before. One thought led to another, and soon enough she was regarding the sweat soaked clothes with obvious distaste. Damn b*****d… now she really needed a bath… and a change of clothes. But she’d be damned before she acquired either of them through asking him, or — for that matter — in front of him. Her face flushed slightly from the thought — more the embarrassment from the potential humiliation than anything else — and that forced her to duck her head down into her arms again.

“Th-that’ll do!” she finally snapped, turning a frustrated glare up towards Lucid before pulling into a tighter ball in the corner, letting her gaze drop down again. It didn’t even clue in to her that accepting food from here was possibly dangerous, she was too busy trying to come to terms with the fact that, for the next little while, she would be not only relying on him but also trapped by him. If she wanted to eat, if she wanted to bathe, if she wanted to remain in a state where she could survive then she would have to do what he asked and keep him happy… that didn’t sit well at all with her. So… I guess I’ll have to get out of this cage before anything else… she finally relented, sighing slightly to herself before her tensed brow relaxed into a more sullen state of defeat.

❝ I may come out as cruel and ruthless.....

Lucid nodded silently. He probably should have known that since her domain was in a barren area devoid of all plant life except those few that could survive in the harsh, snow covered terrain. He made it a point to make separate dishes for her from his own and give her some vitamin pills or even gradually introduce her to eating fruits and vegetables. He wondered how her kind were able to function so well without all the nutrients that normal people needed. Maybe since they were so adapted to their life style their bodies didn't need it.

Watching her with a slight, thoughtful frown, Lucid sat back down on the steps. He'd have to reinforce one of the rooms upstairs with holding spells so she wouldn't be able to get out once she earned the reward of leaving the one she was in now. It would be interesting to see her realizing that it was just a bigger cage. Smirking as he noticed her pressing her back up against the wall, trying desperately to try and get as much coldness back as she could, the angel stood up straight. She seemed a bit more subdued than before which made him satisfied that even if she didn't realize it, Lux was beginning to submit.

"I'll get you some food then. I assume you're more used to gamey meat like elk and snow rabbits so I'll see what I can do. In the meantime, I'll get you some water so you can recover a little." Turning, Lucid went back upstairs and headed towards the kitchens. He had stocked up a ton of food before he'd went to the mansion to ensure he had something for his newest slave so it wasn't hard to find a slab of deer meat. Preparing the food, he knew Lux wouldn't be able to break out of the cage so he stayed up above, cooking the meat to perfection and grabbing her a large glass of water with as many ice cubes as he could fit. Balancing the plate with a fork and knife on his right hand, he took the water in his left and started down. The only reason he was allowing her to have a knife to cut the meat was the multiple wards around her cage and the fact that the most damage she could do to him was cut him with him healing just a few minutes later. Getting wounded was a bit of an inconvenience and he would never get used to the pain though.

Looking down at the plate, he furrowed his eyebrows then dropped the knife and fork on the counter. No use in giving her any satisfaction of seeing him hurt by her, she would just have to eat the meat with her hands. He began to walk down the hallway, making sure the water and food weren't jostled at all as he started down the steps. Once he got to the bottom, Lucid headed to the cage. Lux hadn't moved since he'd left so he set the plate of meat on the ground, sliding open a small door at the bottom of the cage, just big enough to give her meals and he placed the glass next to it. "Eat up, I bet you're famished." He said before standing up and looking down at her. "Oh and just so you know, don't try throwing any of it out, if you do I'll withhold your meals for a week understood?" His tone was harsh and firm, telling her that he meant every word.

((OOC: that's fine ^^ glad you're back, I was wondering where you went lol since I knew you'd been asking me about a reply, so yay!))

❝ I love feeling alive—

Lux watched warily as he got to his feet, inspecting the tall frame with borderline paranoid eyes. Mostly she wanted to know what in the world he was up to — so far, every time he had stood up it had meant little good for her. That obnoxious smirk he always seemed to wear didn’t make him seem any more likeable, either.
“It’s… not like I’m gonna thank you.” she grumbled after he had gone up the stairs, pouting a little as she brought her legs back up in front of her and curled into a ball again.

She had a while to herself, down in that basement. While she couldn’t hear what was going on overhead, where she knew that damned thing was currently moving about, Lux definitely knew that he wasn’t leaving any openings. Whether his stunt with the heater before had been to harm her or a part of some plan, it had weakened her enough that even if she could use her powers she probably wouldn’t be able to get away. The pinkette leaned her head back against the wall, sighing gently as she closed her eyes and slowly relaxed herself, making an effort to get comfortable. One way or another he’d have to let her out eventually. After all, why buy a slave and then lock them up in a cage where you couldn’t even use them — whatever ‘using a slave’ could possibly mean. Either way, she wasn’t very productive for her or his benefit in there; it was in neither of their best interests for her to remain down there for too long.
“He’ll have to let me out eventually…” she muttered under her breath, opening her eyes to stare at the dank ceiling. “No matter how I behave… he can’t keep me down here forever.”

The demoness was jolted out of her thoughts when he came back down the stairs, his footsteps giving away the approach and giving her ample opportunity to shrink back and return to the angry glare she’d had earlier. She was obviously far from amused by the mini-meal door, simply crossing her arms more tightly across her knees as she glared pointedly at him. What she wanted was clear enough; him to back the hell off before she even considered moving towards the open bars. She wasn’t sure if he was going to be cooperative or not — though she had no qualms in just out waiting him and eating the food cold — but she knew one thing for sure: there was no way in hell she was getting anywhere hear him when he could easily grab at her. Not only did she not trust him, she didn’t trust any man — double wammy for the disliked jerk face.
“If you expect me to get anywhere near you,” she finally piped up, “Then it’s good to know you don’t just look stupid, because it isn’t happening.” she turned her face away, however — dismissing the threat (or warning) with a frustrated ‘humph’.

❝ I may come out as cruel and ruthless.....

Lucid watched her silently for a few moments, his eyes glaring hard into her own, not moving. Finally after what felt like forever, he gave a slight nod and backed up after closing the meal door. He walked back over to the stairs and sat where he had before, allowing her the small luxury of being able to eat in somewhat peace without him trying to grab at her. He wanted her to submit willingly, not be afraid of him for the rest of her life. Lucid always thought that the best slaves were the ones who wanted to serve their owners, not those who acted out orders in fear of a punishment. Lux would be a hard one to break but he was sure he could, then mold her into the image he wanted. He could see the potential in her, hidden away behind the icy cold visage of her anger. But it was there and he intended to coax it out.

Leaning forward, he waited for her to start eating. "I moved away for you but that's all the privilege you get. I'm not moving a muscle until you finish that meal and I am all too happy to wait. I have all the time in the world."

He guessed she was going to try and attempt to make him wait as long as she could so he could be "punished" as well having to sit for so long, but he was content and didn't mind waiting her out until her hunger got the best of her. Lucid had already threatened to take away her meals so unless she was overly stubborn, she would be smart and regain some of the energy and strength she had lost when he'd quite literally turned up the heat.

Looking her up and down suddenly, the male realized he hadn't bought any new clothes or accessories for her yet...though she hadn't really earned the right to wear more than what she had on at the moment. Leaning back, he continued to study her. "Sooner or later I'm going to have to get some clothes for you, what colors do you like? And pants or skirt bottoms or both?" He'd had plenty of experience shopping for his previous slaves so he had a bit of knowledge about how to shop for a girl at least. He was trying to take a different approach with her and see if she would spit at him if he tried asking what types of things she wanted to wear. He knew he was going to get her a maid's outfit but he would leave the rest and customizations to her. "I'll find what I can and maybe sometime in the future I'll even let you out in public with me to go shopping and be able to pick out your clothes yourself. In the meantime I'll just go online and show you some pictures. I can't go having you wearing only one outfit constantly." He looked at her thoughtfully then became silent, wondering how she would respond.

(gosh i am so so so so sorry for taking so long....I want to continue this and please don't be mad at me T.T)

Lux watched him with narrowed eyes, waiting until he was far back before scurrying forwards to grab the plate with the tips of her fingers so she could drag it back towards her and away from him. She scrambled back with it, the cup of cool water clenched between the fingers of her other hand like a lifeline. She took a small sip, sighing in content relief as the cold water chilled her internal temperature.
“Thank you,” she muttered, unintentionally and almost too quietly to be heard, before realizing what she’d actually said. “Th-that wasn’t for you! It was rhetorical,” she insisted in a tone that was just too defensive and rushed.

She swallowed another mouthful of water to hide her embarrassment, her stern gaze wavering with confusion and frustration. What he had done to her deserved no thanks! Stepping away and then pointing out that she had no privacy was not praiseworthy!
No, no, she insisted inwardly, narrowing her eyes as she scowled at the plate. Don’t give in to him! After a moment she turned her glare up towards him again, daring him with her eyes. It probably wasn’t wise, and she probably needed the food more than she wanted to admit, but rather than doing the wise thing she maneuvered the plate away from her as far as she could and then proceeded to push it away even further with her foot. It rattled against the floor and clattered against the bar, nearly tipping but rebalancing at the last moment and clattering to the floor. She quickly tipped the glass back to finish the water, taking two of the ice cubes into her mouth before she straight up threw it at him; of course, it was stopped by the bars.

“I said I’d cooperate, didn’t I? I said I’d follow your rules, and I’d do your stupid orders, so what the hell do you want from me? Just go away!” Her demand would likely fall on deaf ears, but as her voice rose she couldn’t hide the quiet reverberation of frustrated tears she was holding back. Please,” she said, curling back into her ball. “At least me keep my dignity. If I can’t go home, at least give me that much.” The plea was surprisingly vulnerable, but that too was just part of Lux’s facade. If she was too cooperative, it would be suspicious, but if she hid behind the vulnerable and desperate emotions she’d seen so others take on then perhaps he would believe he’d broken her; that was all it would take to make him drop his guard, and then she could make her real move. Burying her face in her arms she delighted in the ice that was melting on her tongue. It wasn’t more than a tease, but at least it was something.
