Sleeping Trees Newbies Contest Somnium and Willow recently had a few babies, and their son is up for grabs! This future buck's siblings are Salix and Ginseng. There is a slight theme going on with this family- Plants and Dreaming. Somnium being latin for dream, Salix being the genus of Willow, and both Willow and Ginseng being self explanatory. So this concept contest has a slight spin on it. The name should follow the naming theme. How you interpret this is up to you! We aren't going to demand RP or your character having ties to ours-We just like naming themes 8'D Fill out the form and post it in thread! That's all there is to it.

Guardian name: Valerian
Name meaning: valerian is a root that helps reduce anxiety and is also used as a natural sleep-aid.
Guardian personality: Calm, soothing, relaxed. Although Thorne tends to be shy and can get gruff or antsy when thrown into social situations, the guardian is a rock for him to lean on to ease him. Thorne has never had much in the way of manners taught to him (besides please and thank you, of course!), and can get easily flustered and ready to storm off quite quickly when dealing with other people. Valerian is kind, forgiving, and in general there to be that 'deep breath' that his chosen needs to get through the day. Wherever Thorne goes, he is quick to follow. He enjoys time spent closer to town and generally likes other people, though he seems to have a good sense for when someone has less-than honorable intentions. He is not fond of violence, but if he had to protect Thorne from harm he would do whatever he had to to ensure his safety.

Guardian name: Blanc
Name meaning: White in French
Guardian personality: Blanc in short would be kind of a jerk. He's moody, short tempered and quick to displease, leaving little room for negotiations or questions. However, most of it is a front. Since coming together with his chosen he's hyper aware of her illness, often wishing no one would come near her in case she was to get sicker. He puts up the facade so others may be dissuaded to approach Marceline, and of course has a deep rooted desire to protect his chosen the only way he knows how. Blanc never leaves her side least its to try and chase someone off, and since Marceline is room bound a lot when she's in the worse of her fit. He would take great pride in knowing that he's doing all he can to protect her, even at the cost of friendships he could be making as well as his chosen. Blanc would be a serious sort, no nonsense and has heavy priorities which he would carry out - no one being able to stop him.

Guardian name: Vagary
Name meaning: a whimsical, wild, or unusual idea, dream, desire, or action.
Guardian personality: Vagary is a worry wart and slightly on the high-strung side. He is sure his chosen doesn't eat nearly enough to survive, thought James insistence on wearing multiple layers of clothings usually makes the task of seeing how thin he is a bit difficult. Apparently sticking your muzzle or antlers under said article of clothings and tugging them up is frown upon. He often reacts over dramatically to any bit of bad news, but on the upside, he is very focus and tries to pass that on to his absent minded chosen.
More often then now, Vagary and his chosen can be found fighting, or the former dragging the later towards food or a tub of hot water.
Chosen name: James Rush
Chosen personality: James doesn't have a medium measure. He goes from deep depression to laughing at the smallest thing to becoming incredibly angry to being giddy to just asking how your mother is. While he will always keep a charming air about him, he is often jumps from one subject to antoher almost without any relation to the other. He can be incredibly focus on a personal project that he would forget to eat, sleep or go to work. Or he might just sleep a whole day or decide to clean the entire pub in two hours. He is boundless energy or can't be move from his favorite chair least there is a tornado outside.

Guardian name: Chamomile
Name meaning: An aromatic European plant of the daisy family, with white and yellow daisy like flowers. Best known for their ability to be made into an infusion which is commonly used to help with sleep.
Guardian personality: Chamomile is a very upbeat and positive thinker, though he can be a bit sluggish sometimes. Helping to keep his chosen in line and on the correct path in her tasks is what he lives for. When Chamomile is not with his chosen, which doesn't happen too often, he is off collecting various plants and fauna for his chosen to cook down and create interesting smells from. He has always been fascinated with the smells that she can create from plants with almost none of their own smell. The same plant that his name is derived from is one of his favorites to smell. The calming aroma help him and his chosen to sleep soundly through the night.
Chosen name: Roserie Twilight
Chosen personality: Roserie has a rather positive outlook on life and isn't one to let a mistake prevent her from figuring something out. She takes such things in stride and deals with everything as it comes instead of putting things off. Roserie has a great sense of duty and will never stray from what is asked of her, but on the off chance she does, she always has Chamomile bringing her back to reality and helping her get back on track. Roserie creates perfume and other scents to be used in various care products. Though she excels at finding a pleasing concoction for any and all of her customers, the ones she has the easiest time with are the scents meant to relax and calm the mind. Chamomile often helps her create her best works.

Guardian name: Valerian
Name meaning: It’s a sleep inducing plant, used as a light tranquilizer.
Guardian personality: Vale is a bit of a goof honestly, contrary to his name. He tends to be playful and will go out of his way to make Abbi laugh. He is often doing the silliest of things and acts more like a dog than a fierce guardian. He seems to forget how big he is from time to time, that could be because Abbi was notorious for cuddling him as a small fawn. He is ever so curious, and thus ends up getting himself into situations that he would rather have avoided. Usually when he gets into trouble though he will go skittering back behind Abbi tucking himself down to ‘hide’, he can be a bit shy around new people and tends to come across as bashful. All in all a very silly buck who never seemed to quite grow out of being a ‘child’. His favorite place to sleep happens to be 'in' Abbi's lap.
Chosen name: Abigail Hope
Chosen personality: Abigail is a wandering artist, and Valerian is her muse. He tends to be the thing she draws the most but she has been known to sketch almost anything. She is quite literally the ‘starving artist’ but this doesn’t seem to bother her too terribly much. She is loving and jovial and tends to see the world through rose colored glasses. Hoping for the best and seeing the good in everyone and most every situation, her favorite thing to do is to laugh and she loves to see other’s smile. She is kind hearted and will do her best by the people she meets. Unlike with others you don’t have to earn Abbi’s respect or trust, that is where you start with her.
