I'm determined to increase my level of skill with knitting. Last year I learned small-diameter circular knitting, this year I want to get better at working with finer yarn and making more intricate patterns so I'm going to try and make some shawls and fancier gloves.
Does anyone else in the guild like to knit or do any other handicrafts?

Arts are crafts I find tedius (Basically I cant focus on something that specifically for that long)...Though I can spend hours researching some minor fact.
I love that others can do them though. My mums quite crafty and does a lot of stuff with different materials.

Oh yeah, it's not something that I can devote my whole attention to for a long time, unless it's a tricky part or something new I could never just sit there and knit. I always have something playing that I can watch while I knit so I don't get bored.

I crochet. ...nothing too extreme though. Just basic. I want to start working up to more advance patterns though.

i can maybe do a basic thing, but i have the loom thingies for making hats n stuff
i also draw and do some scrapbooking here and there. and photo-mo-tah-graphy

More advanced like finer detailing or adding colour patterns? I want to learn crochet, especially stuff that's good for adding finishing details to knitted stuff. My Mama is pretty great at it, she's really fast and works without patterns but she doesn't do it that often.

My Mama is pretty great at it, she's really fast and works without patterns but she doesn't do it that often. I've made two scarfs and a blanket. And I want to learn more than a single and double crochet. Start getting into colors and details and such.

ShadowedMoonlight A blanket, that would've been quite the project! Very cool. Yeah. I made it for my boyfriend as a Christmas gift. It fits a full size bed. It took me a while... maybe it wouldn't have taken me so long if I didn't take a lot of long breaks. It took me a year to finish it. sweatdrop
