Kara wiggled her tail in anticipation as she waited for her mother - today, the little filly was going to drag her mother out to play. She'd been wandering aimlessly after birds all day, watching their antics in a way that could have been perceived as predatory, but which was really just curiosity. They had just come home for the winter, or so she'd been told. They really were interesting creatures; they supposedly even had lightweight bones so they could fly. This made Kara even more curious, and she had half a mind to catch one so she could find out. She wouldn't kill it, of course - she would never be able to bring herself to harm such a delightful, innocent animal. Instead, she just pick it up once or twice, to feel the weight of it in her mouth...
She was just about to pounce when another thought struck her. What would Mommy think? Debating this, Kara returned to an upright position and sat, curling her tail around her legs. Mommy wouldn't want her to hurt an innocent creature, even if it ended up being an accident. With a sigh, Kara nodded to herself, and waited for her mother to arrive, content to watch the birds in the interim.

Life had perked up. She had had her little miracles and they were all unique and individuals. They were her babies and they were wonderful. She had even returned to her mate with her precious baskets in tow. She was off to spend time with her Kararti. Her only daughter wanted her to come out and play. She had never played as a filly and she was unsure what the day would hold but she was happy to comply with her daughter's wishes.
"Kara?" She called out in her sing song voice that she had got from her own mother. A mare she never spoke about. Just after she called out for her daughter she spotted her sitting and watching birds. She grinned it was only natural that she would be so interested in the fluttering birds. She had feline in her from both parents.
