Jutsu Element System
Jutsu Elements are an essential part of the Naruto Universe. Every ninja is affiliated with a certain element or elements; the elements are pretty basic and are as so:
Katon - Fire Release
Raiton - Lightning Release
Suiton - Water Release
Doton - Earth Release
Fuuton - Wind Release
Raiton - Lightning Release
Suiton - Water Release
Doton - Earth Release
Fuuton - Wind Release
These are the five basic jutsu elements. When put against each other, it almost functions like rock/ paper/ scissors. Some jutsu of a certain element combat another Elemental type.
Fire > Wind
Wind > Lightning
Lightning > Earth
Earth > Water
Water > Fire
Wind > Lightning
Lightning > Earth
Earth > Water
Water > Fire
Every ninja in the Naruto universe is aligned with a certain element and they detect this by using special paper which reacts differently depending on the chakra you feed into it. Although this is important, the chakra detecting paper is something for RP, so we shall skip over that. What is more important that here at WoTS we allow Genin to start off with two base chakra elements and train their way to attaining more.
To gain more chakra elements, is like learning a jutsu, the user must meet a certain word requirement and pre-requisite before being able to add it to their profile. Learning chakra elements is not mandatory, so do not feel obliged to. Some ninja only use a single element.
Third Chakra Element: 500 words. Available from Chuunin rank with training. Unless otherwise specified.
Fourth Chakra Element: 650 words. Available from Jounin rank with training.
Fifth Chakra Element: 800 words. Available from Kage rank with training.
The only way in which a person would be able to start with three elements as a Genin would be if they had a Combination Element Kekkei Genkai. These forms of Kekkei Genkai allow users to fuse two chakra elements to get a third and is impossible unless one does have a Kekkei Genkai to do so. If a Genin has one of these types of Kekkei Genkai they may start with three Jutsu Elements: The first being the combination element itself and then the two basic elements that make it. Just to stress an already made point, no one except Kekkei Genkai users can use Combination Elements, so no matter how many Chakra Elements you have; you will not be able to fuse them to produce a new one. That is, unless you have Yonbi, but I digress. Rinnengan users can also access all Five Basic elements off the bat but none of the Combination elements listed below.

Hyouton - Ice Release = Fuuton - Wind Release + Suiton - Water Release
Mokuton - Wood Release = Doton - Earth Release + Suiton - Water Release
Youton - Lava Release = Katon- Fire Release + Doton - Earth Release
Shouton - Crystal Release = Doton - Earth Release + Suiton- Water Release *
Ranton - Storm Release = Raiton - Lightning Release + Suiton - Water Release
Futton - Boil Release = Suiton - Water Release + Katon - Fire Release
Jinton - Dust Release = Katon - Fire Release + Doton - Earth Release + Fuuton - Wind Release
Bakuton - Explosion Release = Katon - Fire Release + Raiton - Lightning Release*
Shakuton - Scorch Release = Katon - Fire Release + Fuuton - Wind Release
Jiton - Magnet Release = Doton - Earth Release + Raiton - Lightning Release*
Yugeton - Steam Release = Suiton - Water Release + Katon - Fire Release*
Jinton - Swift Release = Raiton - Lightning Release + Fuuton - Wind Release*
* = The Base Elements of these Combinations have not been unveiled in Cannon so we have tried to hazard a guess, if they are revealed we shall make the necessary changes.
Jinton is used as the romanisation for two advance elements: Swift Release and Dust Release, please specify which you are using.
