A mountainous area with a small river, located in the 17th Rukon District. At the top of the mountain lies a "wish tree", where people tie a red ribbon to its branches for a wish to come true. The temperature is warm, windy, and cloudless, giving it a surreal atmosphere. RPCs other than the opponents may post here, but they may only observe and not interfere. Spam will not be tolerated.

To be honest, Nocella didn't give a crap about this whole magical wish business. What she gave a crap about was what kind of tree it was. Back in the Royal Palace, Noce's Ring was dedicated to the beauty and nature of Japan. Her pride and joy were the hundreds of indigenous species that she had grown and preserved there. Many of which, had long gone extinct in the World of the Living. Now hearing about this legendary tree had piqued her interest, and she was itching for a chance to discover some new species and bring it back with her to grow in her own little paradise garden. It was probably stupid to see some Royal Guard running for some tree, but whatever, not like anyone really knew her in Rukongai.
The sight that greeted her at the top of the hill was quite a disappointment. "Ah s**t, just another cherry blossom." she sighed. Noce pursed her lips and gave a small pout. Sure, it was pretty, but nowhere near as exotic as she imagined it to be. And just how many people had scaled this godforsaken mountain? Hundreds of people without Shunpo, that's for sure. And probably, not a single red ribbon hanging from that tree had granted anyone's wish. Ah, the joy of hope. Cling onto it long enough, and it'll crush you with despair in the end. Just like the damn tree did a few seconds ago. Obviously Noce was quite the cynic, and nowhere near a believer in miracles.

In fact, twas Jun Soo, his massive frame walking up over the top of the hill quite casually. Unlike Noci, he had enjoyed the climb up and taken his time, only to see her pout about the tree being perfectly normal. "Did you hope for some super magical tree just because this is the Soul Society?" As he finally stopped walking, his body and all was completely visible, tiger garb and all.
Looking over the girl, he smiled a bit, bowing lightly, his hair swaying in the wind. "My name is Jun Soo. And what Spring time beauty do I have the pleasure of addressing?" He smiled a bit brighter, awaiting her response."... because Love is a sweet fruit indeed."xxx

Ugh, not another wishmaker. "For the record, I don't believe in magic." she snorted. Charming. As the lumbering man came into view, she turned to fully face him, the corner of her mouth turning down in distaste. "For the record, tigers are extinct in Japan. Probably because of people like you. And you have the honor of meeting the woman that's going to kick your a**." she retorted, waiving all attempts at the obvious flirtation. "So yeah, you can either make your wish or hit the road, Shoe." she said, butchering his name like no tomorrow.

Not only was she pissed at the advancements being made on her, she was getting a really annoying vibe off of him. Plus the fact that she hated men. Most of them were holy douchebags, and the rest were just plain stupid and annoying. Biased and stereotypical she may be, but no man had ever stepped forward and proved her wrong. And she'd been around for approximately six thousand years. In that timeframe, the statistics had been irrefutable. Noce wouldn't have minded if the human male race were just exterminated and extinguished into thin air.
As he lectured her on the physics of his name, Nocella could have fallen asleep. "Uhuh, whatever you say...Shoe." she muttered under her breath. It was still loud enough for him to hear though, despite the distance that separated the two. Frankly, no ******** were given about his name, and no ******** will ever be given about his name. Why? Because this giant man is a little insignificant speck of dust in the universe who could have a heart attack right now, die, and no one would give two shits about who he is, who he was, and why the hell a tree, with a bunch of red ribbons on it, was next to him. End of story.
Giving a small scoff, she eyed him critically. Great, another guy who justified things based on indirect logic. Just because he didn't buy the coat didn't make the crime any worse. That was like eating a cow, then protesting against animal cruelty. You might not have killed the cow, but eating your damn inanimate steak isn't going to appeal to your logic. Doing it was just as bad, if not promoting the notion of it. Ugh, why were people so ridiculously shallow minded? Seriously, ******** magic. The only 'magic' that exists is karma. Or so she believed. And her next sarcastic jab was going to be quite cold.
"And I wonder why she died." she said with a scornful expression. After all, you get what you deserved, right? Which just makes people wonder, when was karma going to catch up to Noci? Most people would shudder, looking back at all the bad karma that Nocella had accumulated in her six thousand years. After all, everything came to bite you back in the a**. Everything. No ifs, ands, or buts. After all, the end of every road always leads to death. Oh, the lovely dreams of a cynic.

After a brisk walk up here and the nice breeze, some combat could be nice. We can even add some conditions." he laughed, walking around the tree, unsheating his zanpakuto, holding it to the trunk, nodding in a somewhat odd fashion before disappearing behind it. "How about this? You win, I leave. I win, I get to give you a flower, yeah?" He thought it sounded fair. it wasn't like he as asking anything big. "You can toss something up you like better if you want, something we can agree on. And if you think that's all good, just stand next to the tree, facing it or away from it it. And she was never one to back down from a challenge; much less reject a fight. She would have particular fun shoving a sword down this imbecile's mouth too. After all, there was nothing better than stabbing a few swords into a guy. Why the hell not? Even though he towered a good head over her and looked extremely strong, that didn't faze her a single bit. With the right tactics and moves, Noci could take down an elephantine giant if need be. Shoe might be intimidating, but by her own right, Nocella had been dubbed the 'Karma Demon', by her comrades. And he was soon going to find out what that meant. Fighting a demon was going to be the first of his worries.
"Have it your way, Shoe. But if I win, you're going to commit seppuku, and if you win, you get to figure out my name." she smirked. Committing seppuku with that bigass sword? Now that would be a spectacle worth watching. Just think of all the blood and guts that would be flying everywhere. Unwittingly tipping the odds massively in her favor, she walked towards the tree and looked up, without even waiting for agreement on the terms. "This is your chance to make your last wish, Shoe. You better start tying something to that tree and groveling to whatever God you believe in." she snickered.

As he spoke, there was an out of place click, as if something was being fit together. Following the intermittent silence there was a loud crash as Jun Soo looked to prove that sometimes the direct method was also the best method. Rather than go around the tree and attack, or over it to gain momentum, or even under for the element of surprise, he chose the most direct path possible. Directly through the tree. He had fastened his blade inside its scabbard for only a moment as he brought it around, using the momentum and the extra range to cleave right through the Sakura tree between them. As his weapon came around for the recoil, he let the sheath slide, grabbing the hilt and kicking the scabbard at where Noci had taken her place to stand, dashing into the debris, blade in hand."... because Love is a sweet fruit indeed."xxx

I'll enjoy shredding that tongue of your's into little pieces." she laughed. This was going to be some unrestricted warfare, considering the fact that Shoe had just put his life on the line to just figuring out her name. How utterly noble. If her aversion to men wasn't so prominent in her life, she could almost go Romeo and Juliet for him. Except that in this scenario, Romeo would be the only one suiciding this time. Ah, what a sad tragedy. Maybe Noci would spare him and just kill him herself? Decisions, decisions...
Noce had to give Shoe some credit. The sneaky b*****d was already lying in wait for an attack. What he didn't know what that she was previously Onmitsukido, and there were very few people that could catch her off guard. The moment he disappeared out of sight and told her to stand by the tree, something just struck as off. Her senses already on high alert, she wasn't going to let this lumbering woodcutter jab that sword right through her abdomen, three seconds into the fight. Before the battle was even suggested, Noce had already sized him up. At five feet five inches, he stood a good foot over her. The dimensions of the height of his blade were about the same. He was at least a good two hundred pounds, was packed with muscle, and could probably swing his blade around like a toothpick. She estimated his attacking range to be about eight to nine feet in radius, accounting the length of his arm, the size of his blade, and how far he could lunge forward without toppling himself over with the weight of his weapon. It seemed the only obvious advantage she had over him was size. Even with his ridiculous attacking range, Noci was smaller and more nimble. Diving into his attack range was risky and dangerous, but what was life without a little spice?
As Shoe's elephantine blade burst through the trunk of the tree, she quickly handsprung backwards in the nick of time. Wood splinters, leaves, red ribbons, and branches started flying everywhere, blinding the vision of the two opponents. Nonetheless, it didn't faze her a bit. As the sheath came flying towards her, she gave an inward smirk. Just like Noci, Shoe utilized both his blade and his sheath in a style similar to her's. Now that's what she called making use of your resources. Lunging to the side in a crouched position, her right knee was on the ground and her left knee was up, placing her in a position diagonal to Shoe. As he charged through the blinding debris, she took the initiative by lunging forward with a counterattack of her own, unsheathing her blade while simultaneously aiming an upward cut at his right leg.
Now would be the tricky part. It was either stay in his range of attack, or get the hell out. The latter would be infinitely safer and hold less risks, but it would prolong the battle indefinitely and be a battle of endurance. The former...well, that would be one hell of a gambit. One solid blow from Shoe would probably severely incapacitate her. But what was that to stop Noce? She loved the thrill of a challenge, and there was no way she was going to let Shoe one-up her on fighting expertise. Flitting around in his personal space would prove to be annoying as a mouse to him. His body size and his Zanpakuto size would also be a hindrance to him. No matter how effortless he could wield his blade, there was still momentum, drag speed, flexibility; all that fun physics stuff to worry about. Never one to play it safe, she decided to take the risk, along with whatever other mischievous abilities and tricks he had up his fur-covered tree-destroying sleeves.
Following up with her strategy, Noci immediately Shunpoed behind him after her counterattack slash. Turning around to catch her would slow him down considerably, unless he managed to shoot a Kido under his arm, or some other trick like that. In which case, Noci came in a little prepared ball of karmatic evil. The sheath of her Zanpakuto already in her left hand, she twisted elegantly in midair, using the force in an attempt to drive the end of the sheath into a pressure point into the back of his neck. With a man of his caliber, at best, it would render him disorientated and dizzy. Enough time to launch another attack of her own. At full force on a weaker person, she could probably snap the neck of someone with this blow. Hopefully he wasn't as weak as she gauged him to be, or otherwise, this fight would be no fun. Sure, a snapped neck would be nice, but sometimes killing people took time. Make it agonizing and painful, y'know? People always say not to play with your food, but Noce felt that blood was always tastier when people were boiling with rage and it was fresh from the cut.

Ignoring her as she danced around him, he moved forward faster, following her Shunpo with one of his own, the tiger coat coming off as he grabbed his scabbard, putting it back on his back, the six foot blade spinning rapidly in his hands. "You're a smart one, and fast too." He laughed, moving closer, the bringing the spinning vortex of shredding steel around towards Noci's midsection, his movements slightly swifter from the lack of the hampering tiger fur garb. If she meant to dart into him again, Jun Soo would counter attack this time. His main problem would be her speed. However, even if he landed a light blow, it could possibly be crippling. He was sure he straight up overpowered her, but if he couldn't land a blow, then what would be the point?"... because Love is a sweet fruit indeed."xxx

"Why thank you, you lumbering oaf." she replied. As he came at her again, she darted off to his left and readied her own attack. "Hado #63, Raikōhō!" she called out, sending a lightning bolt of Kido raining down on him. Going for his blind spots was going to be ridiculously annoying. Doing another Shunpo behind him, she executed several jabs of her blade at the middle of his back, followed by a leg sweep that would knock him off balance if it connected. Though the kick wouldn't be especially strong, he was top-heavy. Gravity would do the work for her if she got a leg out from under him.

By the time the leg sweep came around, he was back on balance, steadying his foothold as he wheeled around, using his free hand to deliver a punch aimed at the gut. While normally against the harming, let alone fighting, opposite sex the ground and pound tactic would be Jun Soo's salvation here. Her smaller frame and the fact she always went low gave him plenty of time to gain a momentous swing with his left hand, bringing it down onto her."... because Love is a sweet fruit indeed."xxx

Grounding her feet to oppose the force in the opposite direction, she slid back a good several feet before quickly closing in the gap between them. Without a moment's hesitation, she used his arm as a platform, giving her the leverage she needed to bash her knee right into his face. If it connected, she would simultaneously use the force to flip backwards and out of his reach. If not, she'd still get the opportunity to flit around in his personal space like an annoying fly that he couldn't get rid of. Worst case scenario would be if he managed to catch ahold of her leg, which would probably result in a brutal doll smash into the ground. Always a tactical planner though, Noci had some of her own tricks up her nonexistant sleeves.
