The Jutsu Point System
In WoTS, We have a jutsu point system. Every jutsu rank is assigned a certain amount of points; each charcter is assigned a starting pool of jutsu points and a maximum jutsu point cap. This starting point and cap is determined by your rank.
So, each jutsu rank is scored as such:
E Rank: 1 D Rank: 2 C Rank: 3 B Rank: 4 A Rank: 5 S Rank: 8 SS Rank: 12
The amount of jutsu points a character can start with is determined by rank. So not all ranks of character start with the same amount of jutsu points. All characters must start with their ranks appropriate amount of points. These starting amounts work as follows:
Genin Staring Amount: 25 Chuunin Starting Amount: 50 Jounin Starting Amount: 75 Kage Starting Amount: 150
As well as a starting amount each rank has a maximum cap that they CANNOT exceed. These are:
Genin Max Cap: 50 Chuunin Max Cap: 75 Jounin Max Cap: 150 Kage Max Cap: 255
With that, the jutsu point system is done. The only thing I have to add is these few little limitations based on your rank.
Genin: A Genin may learn 1 A Rank Technique but may not start with it. Chuunin: Chuunin may learn up to 1 S Rank Technique but may not start with it. Jounin: Jounin may learn up to 1 SS Technique but may not start with them Kage: A Kage may have a maximum of 2 SS Rank Technique but only start with 1 of them.
PLEASE ALSO NOTE: Any ranked weapons count towards these caps too.

Jutsu Knowledge and Affinity Explanation
An easy way to explain this system is that nobody is good at everything. So, in WoTS we are forced to choose certain types of jutsu and prioritise those types accordingly. We split the jutsu types our characters are good at into three groups: Primary, Secondary and Tertiary. What group you put your selected jutsu types in brings about different consequences and restrictions. These are as such:
Primary: You may learn SS Rank Techniques of any Primary Jutsu Type you chose. Think of these as your character's favourite types of jutsu to cast.
Secondary: Secondary Jutsu types are Jutsu Types your character is adept in but not a master of, you may learn any A Rank Technique for these types.
Tertiary: Tertiary Jutsu Types are types of jutsu your character is about average with. Any character may learn up to B Ranked Techniques for their Tertiary Jutsu Types.
Unlisted: Unlisted Jutsu Types are Types of Jutsu that did not make it into any of these three categories. Your character has no talent in these types of jutsu whatsoever and cannot use any techniques of these types. The only exception to this rule are Taijutsu and kenjutsu which characters can have a basic understanding of even when they are not listed but may not use any form of technique for them.
Now, with those explained we can explain the different set up types you can have for Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Jutsu Types. These are called Mastery Setups. You can arrange your Primary, Secondary and Tertiary in many different ways in order to give different ways of developing to your character's masteries. The currently accepted set ups are listed below. We may also add different set ups in the futures.
Standard Mastery Setup: 1 Primary, 2 Secondary, 3 Tertiary Offensive Mastery Setup: 2 Primary, 1 Secondary, 2 Tertiary Withdrawn Mastery Setup: 1 Primary, 3 Secondary, 1 Tertiary Prodigy Mastery Setup: 3 Primary, 0 Secondary, 1 Tertiary Hyper Offensive Mastery Setup: 2 Primary, 2 Secondary, 0 Tertiary Versatile Mastery Setup: 1 Primary, 1 Secondary, 5 Tertiary
Amendment: Due to a few people being confused at what things are classed as mastery types here is a list of all the jutsu types you must list in your masteries if you want to use certain techniques:
Kekkei Genkai Ninjutsu Genjutsu Taijutsu Kenjutsu = Bukijutsu = Shuriken Jutsu [These are all the same thing, you do not have to list them multiple times] Fuuinjutsu Iryo Ninjutsu Kugutsu Summoning Jutsu Senjutsu

Learning Jutsu
To learn Jutsu in WoTS you must meet a certain word requirement based on the techniques rank. This may be done through singular or multiple posts as long as the word count is reached. This system is universal no matter what rank your character is, they must meet these word counts.
E Rank: 100 Words D Rank: 250 Words C Rank: 400 Words B Rank: 600 Words A Rank: 800 Words S Rank: 1000 Words SS Rank: 1500 Words
AMENDMENT: When learning custom techniques, they are the susceptible to the same word counts. However, all custom techniques must be APPROVED before you can start learning them. This is not an effort to be awkward, it's just something to make everything a little easier for both us and you.
* This may be susceptible to change but we shall inform you if any changes do occur.

Kai - Release Explanation
Even though Kai is ranked at C in the guild, the technique itself requires more chakra than the C rank to use at certain times. Even though our guild does not have a chakra system, we trust in the RPers to know when their character is running low on chakra. Because of this, the technique Kai is not something that can be used to instantly break out of all Genjutsu with only a C-Rank amount of chakra. Depending on the rank of the Genjutsu used, you must put in an equal amount of chakra to break the Genjutsu that was cast on your character. However, if your opponent uses a Genjutsu C Rank or below, you must still use the minimum amount of chakra (in this case, a C rank amount) to break free of the Genjutsu's effect.

Shunshin and Kawarimi
There are certain limitations on the usage of techniques that allow you to instantly get out of sticky situations such as Change of Body Stance and Body Flicker is somewhat limited in this guild. it's so no one just Shunshins or Kawarimis out of battle all the time because as seen in the show, it may not be quite that easy. So the ruling on these sort of techniques is as follows.
- Kawarimi no jutsu or Substitution Jutsu once used has a cool down of 4 posts. Not including your opponents.
- Shunshin no Jutsu or Body Flicker once used in a combat situation has a cool down of 4 posts. Not including your opponents. However, unlike Kawarimi, this jutsu may be used as many times as you want within reason outside of battle. The only reason we say within reason is because Body Flicker still takes D Rank chakra to use and no one has unlimited chakra.
