Siobahn tried to ignore the sound of the pouring rain that raged on outside. It had been coming down steadily for two days straight now, and the dismal affect it had on her fellow housemates was sad to see. Everyone was moping around with bored and annoyed looks on their faces.
Siobahn just shook her head and went back to reading her mystery book. She normally didn't read this type of book but had found it laying around in the common room and started on it that morning. It was quite a good read, and she was nearly finished with it now, she only had maybe twenty pages left.
Of course once she finished it, she was going to be just as antsy as the others in her House. Especially Clover. She couldn't help but notice how much the red head had been fidgeting and sighing so much. What they all needed was an adventure, Siobahn thought. It was too bad that no one had thought of doing it before. She wondered if anyone would want to do something with her or not. She would just have to get up the nerves to ask.

Clover was going stir crazy from stuck inside for three days. She had managed alright during the first day because she had classes. However it was hard for the Hufflepuff now that it was Saturday. If she was visiting her grandparents farm she'd still end up outside, weather it was to weed or fix something.
She had her models of various animals out on the table, and watching them move about in their little corral that she had made out of school books. She sighed as she rested her head on her hands. "It's not the same. " she said to herself looking at them. "When it's sunny, plow the land. When it rains fix the tractor." she reminded herself for the ninth time that day. The thing was she had already finished her homework, and there was no work for her to do around the castle, since it was either the caretaker 's job or given to a student as detention.
She couldn't see how some of her friends where doing because they were either in their House, or doing homework, or trying to find some other way to beet the annoyance of the rain on the weekend. Both Dorian and Attor, were Slythrens and Emma was a Gryiffindor. Not to mention she didn't want to bother them if they were busy doing something. She glanced around the room to see whom would be worth talking to, with out getting narked at for having interrupted them. She didn't see anyone that didn't seem to be preoccupied, so she looked back into her little corralled modeled animals with a disappointed sigh.

Siobahn closed the book, satisfied with how the story had ended. Then glancing around she got up and placed the book back where she had found it. Her journey took her past the table Clover was sitting at.
"Are you bored?" She asked, stopping by Clover's shoulder and peering at the mini farm animals that were walking around on the table. "Would you like to find an adventure with me? There's really not much going on today, " She said with a small sigh.

Clover looked up from her modles. "No I'm having the time of my life." she said over sarcastically. She put down a small Hollyhead Harpies box down and in one full swop cot all the modles in the case.
"So where were you thinking about exploring?" she asked not caring where the two of them might end up.

Siobahn was a bit surprised that the other girl was that accepting of her proposal. Mostly because the other girl probably didn't even know who she was. "I can tell, " She replied with a small laugh.
She watched as the Clover put her toys away efficiently. "Well," Siobahn began, pushing her bangs out of her face nervously. "we could start near the kitchen, maybe get a snack?"

Clover nodded "That's true the kitchen is said to be hard to find. I wonder if it's true that house-elf are who cook the food here." she said in a thoughtful tone. "Sounds as good as any place to start" she said putting her Hollyhead Harpy's box away.

"It shouldn't be that hard, I heard that it's supposed to be really close to our dorm. Maybe we'll have better luck than everyone else. I suppose we'll find out once we find it." She said with a smile.
"I'm Siobahn by the way," She said as the two of them made their way out of the dorm. "I already know your name is Clover Heartwel, you know how kids talk." She said with a shrug of her shoulders.
She was a little afraid that the other girl would press to find out what the other kids had been saying about her. Siobahn really wasn't one to gossip, though she was often the type that was able to listen in on other people. Most of the time she was so quiet that no one ever realized she was around.

Clover chuckled when she heard her name. "I didn't think they still talked about it.... Well it's possible something else." she said remembering her first year when she hit a higher student from Slythern House.
"Siobahn... That's quite a unike name." she said as they walked along. "I guess I've been Taged as a Slytherin want a be or something like that, huh?" she asked still sorta amused about how the kids were talking about her behind her back. "I didn't think I was all that popular around the school"
She shook it off not caring what people said about her. It was her friends that she would care about. She nodded "Close to our house... There's that big fruit bowl... but it couldn't be that obuvuse could it?" she asked thinking aloud

Siobahn was a little curious as to what Clover was referring to. Could it be what she was hearing about or could it be something completely different. "Umm well if it helps, there were some talking about how you made friends with a slytherin boy. I forget what his name is though. They say he fell on you. I don't know if I'd be friends with a guy who fell on me."
"Well thanks, I guess I'm lucky to have an unusual name. I am really not sure, I suppose it could be possible though." Siobahn grinned at her. "I am not sure if I'd call it popularity when people talk about you."
Siobahn scrunched up her face thinking about it. You know that would be surprising if it was the door to the kitchen. I wonder if there's a password for it. Hmm. We shall have to sit it out and watch for someone to approach it."

Clover smirked "Well that's true, he did fall on me, Not that he meant to of curse. But I have two friends who are boys in Slytherin." she corrected. "Dorian and Attor. Though Attor's got a tough skin, if you can get him as a friend he's really got your back not to mention he's got a thing for snakes. Dorian on the other hand I haven't quite figured out why he was put in Slytherin." she told the other. "Not that I'm dating either one. They are really good friends though."
Clover nodded "To bad we don't have a map... then again it wouldn't be an adventer if we had one right?"

"Oh I see, more of an accident then." Siobahn said softly. "Ah well I doubt he'd ever pay attention to me. I'm kind of one of those people that can be overlooked in a crowd. Probably because I'm short and super quiet. Snakes? He really likes snakes?" She asked with a shudder. "I'll make sure to stay away from him then. Maybe he's just really ambitious? And it's possible the hat saw his potential and placed him where he'd do best."
Siobahn was rather surprised she was talking as much as she was, normally she didn't say this much. Clover was just easy to talk to, and comfortable to be around. It helped that the other girl was older, it made her feel safe to be walking around the castle.
"True," She agreed with a smile. "It will just make it much more fun."

Clover shook her head. "There's a diffince between knowing how to watch from a distance, and knowing how to handle it. Snakes aren't as bad as people think. Grant it, the bite of one that's poisons isn't on the list of things I want to do. Though most aren't. And to be honest I would much rather see a baskless lizard over the snake." she chuckled a little a her own joke not caring if Siobahn understood it or not.
Clover seemed to take notice that she had said that "If you don't make a sound it's hard for people to know you're there sometimes. I kinda stand out because of my hair and my being up front. If you don't make a nose people might not know you want to join them. Even if it's small there's something different about everyone." she said with a smile like it was incruiment not a put down.

Siobahn nodded and smoothed out her hair as they continued to walk. "That's a good way to look at it," She said simply tugging on one of her pigtails.
She was rather surprised to hear Clover defending snakes. She supposed the other girl was right, but they still scared her. That wasn't something that would change overnight. "I guess," She replied her eyes now darting around the hallway fervently. "It's just I've seen way too many snakes that escaped from their owners' lately. One of them got in my shoe the other day. I nearly jumped out of my skin when I found it. And the girl laughed at me." She explained with a shudder.
Siobahn grinned up at Clover, "Thanks. And you definitely do stand out, but not in a bad way. You're fearless..and inspiring. Especially to me."

Clover smiled and nodded "Yeah they like cool dark pleases. I guess because they are cold blooded, normally after they shed their skins. Stuff your socks in your shoes and you shouldn't have that problem again." she added.
Clover blushed a little "I don't know about inspiring but I definitely don't back down... Saying it out loud makes it seem some what reckless." she said shrugging a little.

Siobahn hadn't realized this. "Oh, is that why the Slytherins live in the dungeon?" She asked with a giggle. "I shall have to do that then. Thanks for the advice."
Siobahn was surprised that her words had caused the older girl to blush. That was definitely a first for her. "It surprises you to know that someone thinks highly of you?" She asked curiously.
She came to a stop when she saw the portrait of the fruit on the wall and then glanced around. It didn't seem all that busy in the hall. Now how were they going to get in? "I suppose if we wait around, we might catch a house elf wander out."
