Okay,this is one of my personal all-time favourite Disney films. Atlantis: The Lost Empire,the very first theatrical animated sci-fi flick they ever made in their animated canon. It was such a great film,but so underrated and overlooked due to the fact that it strayed from the "true Disney routes". Some critics praised it as a unique departure from typical Disney animated features, while others disliked it due to the unclear target audience and absence of songs. But because of it's moderate-to-poor box office revenue, all other plans for the series, such as the spin-off television series was scrapped. That made me mad when I heard the news about that. I would've loved to seen if they did an origin story about the Shepard's Journal and what the hell actually happened to cause that tsunami that sank the continent in the first place.

Good point Lilly,but I dunno. I think the show could've been pretty awesome if they at least did a mini-series that went on to explain some of the origins like who the hell caused the giant tsunami or better yet,do a prequel story about the crew's expedition to Iceland and how Thaddeus Thatch figured out it was there to begin with. I would've also liked to see the creation of the Shepard's Journal. But I guess settling with the Atlantis: The Lost Empire's special 2-disc edition of the DVD that tells that tale and Atlantis: Trial By Fire PC game. I think you play as Rourke or someone in the Iceland campaign.
