Tears of Spring is the main well in the centre of town that provides fresh drinking water from an underground water vein.
It appears as a circular, medieval stone well with decorative flowers and fish carved around the stone edges and the tiny wooden roof.
The water stems from the glacier high in the hills and is always cold and refreshing.
Sometimes fish are known to turn up in this fountain, or pieces of ice that have survived their journey from the glacier.
