Question: If a digimon doesn't have vaccine/data/virus thingy, can it mutate to something or can something mutate to it?

Digidex entry (Pokdex joke): Keramon the The Laughing Monster Digimon, Keramon was born from a egg created by a virus or by a digi-egg created by a evil human. Although this digimon was said to be born from a virus and may be consider a virus Attribute digimon by a lot of people the truth is that it holds no official Attribute due to lack of information and study of this digimon.
Forge then closes his DigiDex and turns away from the other walking away from them. "As you heard the digimon in question holds no real Attribute so in truth if you follow the guild's rules you would be unable to mutate any type of digimon into this digimon or any of its line." With that said the Dragon Emperor takes his leave heading off on his next quest to gain powerful digimon for study and for one day to encounter and tame his one true target.

However true that may be SCJohn the choice of how Digivolutions go, is up to the discretion of the guild! For instance from my prior knowledge Beelzemon cannot Mode Change into its Blast Mode, but it is a mode so why can't we mode change into it? Because we say so. ^_^ But you do bring up a good point.

Yeah, Keramon would a one of those that, just as John said, does not hold an attribute and therefore cannot mutate or be mutated into.
Unfortunately, that was not always the case as some place him as a virus attribute. But for the sake of simplicity, we will leave it with what the majority of our sources place him as... no attribute.
HOWEVER, if there were another digimon that was both normal, rookie, and also not having an attribute. He could mutate into him, however I don't think such a digimon exists. sweatdrop

Well what if you think about the concept of him spawning directly from a computer, would that make him a Data Type, or do we leave him as just a "No Attribute" Digimon? Of course I've always thought he was Virus type, but then again we do go by the DMA.

I just looked it up, thinking the answer was no, but as it turns out... Dobermon is both vaccine and virus, so the answer would be yes.
