At last you reach the top. You see however, a door that says, 'To enter, sacrifice all that you see'. Everything goes dark.

You feel the door pull open, and you feel a shift in the air, that something is different. The floor feels polished, cold, and the space around you infinite: as you reach you, you cannot find even walls. However, there is a strange sensation that is pulling you forwards, towards the center. All you hear now is the Voice.

"There once was a Great King and he commanded a Great army. When he passed away he left in his place a void, which could not be fulfilled by all who loved and were created by him. His creations however, could not see the King's legacy go unfulfilled, and thus sought to find his heir, his successor. From seven candidates there would be one crowned the True King, the heir to the Great King's place. He who received such a title, would receive power, and the Pride of the Great King."

The floor sunk a little below them, and they felt around it strange pillars rising upwards, cold and ornate. A frame, and in the center, a smooth, glassy surface. There were many pillars, spaced just a few steps away from each other, each one similar, and yet designed slightly different.

"What good is it now, the long dream has ended. There is no True King, none will ever surpass, or even shadow in mimicry the greatest King of all. This is my Pride and my downfall and to it, I admit defeat. Find me, if you can, and I will deliver my last promise."

- You MUST complete this level here before you can continue onwards.
- You must stumble around blind, unable to speak or hear, and look for something out of place. Roll 1d100. Match your dice roll to the results below.

1- 20: You stumble over ornate grooves on the floor. They yield nothing however, upon contact.
21 - 40: You feel a small pillar, unlike the pillars in the center. This one is shorter. When you reach towards it, you fall into it, like reaching into a fountain. You feel something liquid, water perhaps, within it.
41- 60: You stumble upon a ridge, a series of stairs leading to one side. However, you feel nothing upon reaching the end...
61 - 80: You feel something, a table, and then the soft crinkles of an aged book. It is too heavy to lift, though it is open.
81 - 100: At last you come across something so different, the cool, sharp hum of metal. But unlike any other, this metal seems to hum and breathe. It feels like someone is gazing reproachfully at you. You run you fingers along the metal and make out something: a throne perhaps, a chair, tall and spanning forwards. The seat is empty.
- At the base of the chair, engraved into the metal are a few words: "Call my true name"
((OOC: All players can guess. Since they can't SPEAK they need to interact with the environment and find a way to communicate to this Voice by using the environment around them (see; dice rolls). When your character is ready with their effort, post in bold their actions and their GUESS, and then quote Zoobey. ))

Walking into the top of the tower was traumatizing. She'd seen the sign for only a moment before the world went black, and she was left in absolute sensory depravation. Riley's hands lifted up immediately to keep from falling, and each step that she took was hesitant and testing, to make sure she wasn't walking off the tower itself. Still, she could feel something pulling her, but she put no real trust in that feeling. She moved in that direction, her hands and feet fumbling to keep feeling her way around.

She wondered if anyone else was here.

She wondered if this was what Malodore had felt like, when it had lost its mask.

She wondered if this what it felt like to die. And then, she wondered if she should have already known that.

The Voice startled her, and she almost fell to her knees, hands clutching her head with the sudden onslaught of sound. She tried to listen to every word, but it hurt, and she knew she wasn't thinking at her full potential. A Great King, who passed away. She stumbled in the dark, touching the pillars as she passed them. It was then that she finally fell, tumbling onto her knees on the floor. She felt them then, the grooves that had been her downfall, and tried to deduce what she was feeling from touch.

Kingdom ability: MECHANIC: For one turn, the player can act twice in a row--once for themselves, and once for their illusion! Depending on your rank, this means that you can either attack twice in a row, use one move to heal and one to attack, or so on. However, be aware that by using this, the player's opponent now has two targets that they can hit, and therefore the enemy may also attack twice in that same battle phase. (USED)

She spent most of her years in complete isolation, untouched and untroubled by the taint of corruption. Cleansing both the spiritual and physical aspects, she was then given to the King as an adviser, the whisper in the King's mind that made sure all of her choices were fair and uncorrupted. Now that the King no longer has need of her, she has chosen to abandon her spiritual purity and take up arms to protect her beloved Kingdom. She's just regular ol' Riley now. Be warned.

And then gone. Hearing, sound and sight. Who was she without those? She could feel though, and had limbs for doing so, and she groped at the air, feeling the hard floor beneath her booted feet as something impelled her forwards.

The Voice spoke as well, and she tilted her head, wondering again how she was able to hear only that, when all else was silent. Her faltering steps took her into something, and she felt the knock, bending in pain to rub at where she had knocked into the unyielding thing. She silently swore, and then with outstretched arms, and slowly feeling hands, traced out the shape of what she had walked into.

A Throne. Or at least, a very imposing chair. She had the intense sensation that someone was seated there, but she could feel nothing but the chair. Her questing fingers eventually found the engraved plate, but it took a while before she made the letters she traced into words, and words that made any kind of sense.

She was meant to call the true name. But how? She could not speak, or even see, but she could still feel, and maybe she could trace a name on the throne itself. First though, she needed the name, which she did not have. Unless the actions of the Voice could suggest one to her - but in that case it would be something like 'Chaos' or 'Cruelty', the latter coming to her as she remembered the sacrifice that was asked.

Arachne felt those were probably not right, and so she continued to ponder. Then something occurred to her. This Voice, whoever it was had pulled everyone's strings. They had been pulled this way and that, and had received nothing for their efforts..well, she knew she hadn't.

She sat up again and stabbed a finger at the side of the chair, tracing the two words over and over again.

Secretly, Lifen was now scared.

Standing in the room, all she had was herself. The sense of feeling, the sense of taste, of being. Sight, sound and hearing had been robbed with her, leaving the little woman standing stranded, red and gold peering in to nothing. But -- but sometimes she felt the vibrations of something there.

Trying to follow it, she lightly bumped in to a small pillar, which made her startle, trying to untangle herself, which only made her fall even more, in to what felt like . . . some kind of silken liquid. . . what was it?

Extracting herself to the best of her ablities, she felt around the little fountain of a sort, trying to decifer what she could. Listening to the words of the Voice, she almost felt a keen resemblence, a loss, of a sort. But her lost could be found. This one's . . . sighing, silently again, she stayed where she was as she waited to see what would happen for the time being, legs refuting her requests to stand, just for now.

Reading over the final warning, Rosy took a deep breath. Great...just great...

No point in waiting around, so she steps out into the only to find herself in total darkness. Lifting her hands up in front of her, she tries to steady herself as she felt a pull, beckoning her to the center of the room.

So she kept moving, until she heard the Voice, loud a very clear. Oh of habit, she brought her hands to cover her pointed ears. If she could swear, she would have at this point.

She was careful in how she stepped, last thing she wanted to do was knock into someone or step on a tail. The pull kept moving her, as if it was urging her to look feel around.

She wasn't going to do that. What if she grabbed someone in the wrong place. She instantly cringed as she thought of the look Shun had given Spinar. Yea, no, she wasn't going to feel around.

She kept moving around the room, reluctantly allowing this pull to be herself senses at this point. Smacking her knee hard, made her wish she hadn't though.

Kneeing down she placed her fingers on a cool surface. She tilts her head as she continues to allow her fingers to roam over the surface. The surface going cool to soft. Wait, was it breathing? Was this thing under her finger breathing?

As her finger kept moving, she pause as she she turns to look behind her. She swore she feel eyes on her, burning into her skull. And yet, when she reached out with her other hand, no one was around her. With a shake of her head, she kept moving her fingers over the surface.

There...wait....

She paused when she felt to legs, then another. Was she at a chair? As she carefully moves around it, she confirms another leg. Okay so a chair. and in the front was an engraving.

Carefully brushing her fingers over each mark, she paused as she came tot he end.

"Call my true name"

What was she suppose to call a chair? Lifting her fingers to her temples she attempt to breathe and think.

Moving her fingers back to the craving, after she found it again. She searching just a little above it, then just below in hope that maybe just maybe there was more to the writing. She then moves upwards and starts to examine the chair with her fingers.

Looking for anything else, craving, marking, something...

There was a door in front of him.

'To enter, sacrifice all that you see'.

Marosa was confused by the message until he moved to open the door, his shoulders going rigid once darkness had claimed his vision.

Yet... something was pulling him forward. Something was telling him to look...

He groped around blindly, taking careful steps, one in front of the other so as to not trip. In taking his time, he finally found something cool, and discovered a sharp hum of metal that seemed to form a... chair?

Upon feeling further, Marosa found letters etched into the stone, tracing over them to find that they actually spelled out a word.

He had to concentrate to make it out, but yes... yes, there it was...

"Call my true name".

The Ganerie looked up and around before realizing that he still couldn't see, and he ended up closing his eyes. Concentrate. He had to concentrate. Breathing in deeply, he attempted to think, attempted to figure out the name.

The name was the key. But how was he to call it...?

Marosa felt around once more, nearly falling over a pedestal until his hand dipped in water. He brought it up and pressed it against his lips, just to make sure it was what he thought it was.

More searching around resulted in finding a book, and stumbling on the ground a bit resulted in finding runes.

He was conflicted, and wasn't sure how to successfully guess the name. He would try, however... he would try.

Becoming frustrated, Marosa ripped a page from the book and moved over to where he though the fountain was, finally finding it and dipping the page into water. Were the runes close by? Perhaps?

Marosa decided to make a mess. Upon getting the page wet, the Ganerie attempted to spill water on the floor, where the runes were.

Perhaps dashing water on them would activate something?

He was bound and determined to get answers one way or another.

This door caused the ghoul the most pause. To not hear, speak, or see- it sounded like something she might have experienced while training with Shun in Noland's exercises. To not see and not have the ability to reach to anything that came to attack her first was indeed troublesome.

Nonetheless, she swallowed and said goodbye to her eyesight.

All that was left to the deaf, mute and blind ghoul was her touch and smell. She could feel the door, she could feel the air move around it as the force of the thing pushed away. She held out both her arms like a tightrope walker, hoping to feel something. Absolutely nothing was felt but the tail around her legs which she swayed along the ground like a walking stick. The floor was cold and smooth, but its matter was undefinable.

That was when the Voice began:

"There once was a Great King and he commanded a Great army. ..."

Levi had heard this before. While operating as the Red Kingdom's Queen, the Silver Tower had told her a story under a female voice. The Voice spoke of the Old King; the one whose power was divided into the seven crowns.

"...When he passed away he left in his place a void, which could not be fulfilled by all who loved and were created by him. ... "

Created by him? This King had all his subjects made? Like poor souls stuck in servitude; like the poor fakes she'd killed to release from the bonds of their captivity. They loved only because they'd been warped to love. Levi's teeth clenched and her throat silently rippled with what would have been a growl. West, Demi, Xiu... they didn't serve anyone but themselves; least of all some kidnapper who'd taken them away. However the last King had fallen. This was not the work of some undead royal, was it?

"...His creations however, could not see the King's legacy go unfulfilled, and thus sought to find his heir, his successor. ..."

The Voice said that his creations were the ones looking for a new King to take his place. Was this disembodied storyteller one of that King's creations?

"...From seven candidates there would be one crowned the True King, the heir to the Great King's place. He who received such a title, would receive power, and the Pride of the Great King."

The seven weren't real. Levi's nose wrinkled in distaste at the mention of one of her kin being chosen, as if by choice. It had taken Xiu from her home and placed her in a world where she was not herself. The shadow of the petite ghoul she'd trained, laughed and bled with was not how she wanted her sister to stay. Xiu didn't belong here; she had a life to excel in and battles to win. There was no glory in being a captive with real accomplishments out of reach.

It could keep it's Great Pride.

Levi began to make a few careful steps along the floor which would be met by a floor that threatened to fall beneath her- just slightly. In turn, something arose; pillars grew out of nowhere, rising tall but remaining unseen. All she could do was pick up on the vibrations and try to find something of recognition. Her tail continued to sweep aimlessly in front of her.

Not only was there not a thing in her way, but her tail seemed to drift forward. No, it was all of her that was moving forward. The fur on her tail seemed to stand on end until they prickled against something; something cold.

"What good is it now, the long dream has ended. There is no True King, none will ever surpass, or even shadow in mimicry the greatest King of all. This is my Pride and my downfall and to it, I admit defeat. Find me, if you can, and I will deliver my last promise."

Pausing her search when the Voice spoke again, Levi tried to make further sense of what it was trying to get at. The tatzel felt like nodding when it announced that there was no True King. Indeed, it was all a lie; there was no King because a King in this case would rule over nothing. This wasn't real-

...but the again, Medea and Arel's discussion had mention of this being a world; not a trance. Whatever it was, this Voice, it pulled those that were real into this world and made them its slaves to play some sort of courtly game with their lives.

It made Levi mad and flush red with absolute disgust. "Shame on you." The ghoul was missing her voice already. Unrealized even to herself while she thought about all this, her fingers and tail had traced out something in her mind's eye. The cold thing that she'd felt just before the voice spoke? It was a throne; a chair for royals to sit in. Levi refused to sit in it; she was no royal. In a downright emotional expression of what she felt for this hunk of nonexistent metal, Levi kicked the arm of the throne with the underside of her shoe.

Sighing, the ghoul's body felt lighter again. At least she'd released some of her pent up stress that she'd been bottling up from the time she'd realized what had really happened. Her tail then caught something about the base of the throne- letters. Crouching, Levi traced over each letter a few times, trying to remember each one and placing them together to formulate the words they spelt out.

Call - my - true - name

It was absurd. With no way to speak and no source to see, all Levi had was the chair. She could feel a force watching her then. As if giving the ominous force a piece of her mind, which she could not verbalize, Levi faced the front of the chair in her crouched posture, proceeding to lash out at the backing of the throne with her tail.

"JACKASS"

There was a word for it. Too bad it was never heard. Levi wished the Voice would just come out and allow her to take out her aggressions on it; whatever/wherever it was.

Losing her hearing had been worrying, but acceptable. Losing her voice hadn't been that bad either, especially considering that there was no one to hear her anyways.

...But her eyesight? Now that was something that frightened even Xiu, who grit her teeth as she stared at the words on the door. Was there anyone else inside? Was the Voice inside? There wasn't really any way to know if she lost her sight. However, she had already come this far--there was no way she was going to turn back now. Even if she had to feel her way around...

She stepped in, trying to calm herself when her vision went black. She instinctively held her arms out, slowly waving them around as she tried to determine if there was anything--or anyone--in her vicinity. When she felt nothing, she slowly took a few more careful steps in, bristling in shock when the Voice suddenly echoed within her mind.

Seven candidates, and one to become the True King. She had heard this story before. Many times before, in fact. It was not news to her.

She began to move again, only to stumble slightly as she felt the floor shift beneath her. And then...pillars? Something was rising up from the ground, and she reached out to touch them, brushing the palms of her hands against them as she tried to create a mental visualization of what the room currently looked like. As she tried to map everything out, the Voice spoke up once more, and the girl frowned at its words. It admit defeat? Really, that easily? ...No, of course not. They had to find it first, and as they were all blind, mute, and deaf...

This was not going to be easy. She slid herself forward, startling when she bumped into something. A table? And on top of that...a book, it seemed. Xiu tried to lift it off of the table, but it seemed to be secured somehow.

Hhm...

She was used to the darkness.

The life that she knew had been of a Shadow and before the door even took her eyesight, she closed her eyes to ready herself. Slowly, Justice -- she could not bear to refer to herself as Marzena anymore-- moved forwards, arms outstretched. Pillars were around her, and she made her way about by touch.

She had to find what the Voice spoke of, or at least try to. Reaching a flight of stairs, Justice followed them until she reached the end, but there was nothing there.

Or was there? She raised her hand and banged on the wall, even if no one could hear her.

One final door. And here he was to go blind. Jericho wasn't too happy about that, but it mattered little. Taking in a deep breath, he stepped through before all vision was lost.

Blindly, he wandered around as he heard the voice speaking, telling the story of the Great king. But it seemed that the Voice was also resigning, granted if they could find it. He could only assume there were others in this room after all. Feeling around, he managed to find a pillar. It was rather small. The dragon tried to reach into it, but practically fell in. There was some sort of liquid within it.

He furrowed his brow, not sure what to make of it.

Crawling around on the floor because she didn't want to end up walking off an empty set of stairs, she hit something unyielding and very hard.

It was.. metal. And breathing.

Feeling around the chair, maybe it was... a throne?

There had to be something else here other than a creepy chair.
