OOC moments :: this color text :: Royce: *feels ignored/forgotten*
Abby: *drops out of nowhere* Hey there! Wow, first time seeing you out of the bakery! *enthusiastic hug*
jinxgirl5: lol Royce is never forgotten : )
Royce: *hugged suddenly* Oh! Hi, Abby~ *returns the hug, realizing who it was* This is interesting. Though I'm sure it's more so for you. Like seeing a teacher out of class...*chuckles*
Abby: -Sticks out her tongue, but is still grinning cheerfully with her short tail twitching in excitement.- "Hah! You're nothing like a teacher! I have yet to learn from you how to bake something as tasty as what you put out." -She winked.- "I think this is more like an idol being waylaid by an adoring fan."
Royce: *beams* Well, it takes years of training and dedication, but if you honestly wanted to know, I could...uh.. teach you. *goes bright pink* I... I wouldn't call me anything like an idol. *coughs, feeling embarrassed* But thank you for being a "fan", nonetheless. >//w//>
Abby: -Laughs.- "I dunno, I think calling it fan and idol is pretty fitting. I mean it's a good thing you've got integrity, cause honey you could get me to do just about anything for fresh-baked goods!" -Grins widely, though she's half serious about that.- "I would totally love to learn if you're willing to teach. Gotta warn you now, I'm usually the kind that tries the patience of my teachers! Something about trying my own things being not allowed or against common sense, or whatever those gloomers like to natter about."
Royce: *coughs again, feeling more embarrassed, before allowing a small smile* I would never take advantage of you like that. *brightens* Oh, this could be fun. Though I wouldn't be able to teach you during working hours... Not even sure we could use the bakery. *bites his lip, pondering* Hmm... Maybe my place? *smiles at Abby* This wouldn't be like normal classes. So long as you don't kill anyone, creativity is definitely encouraged!
Abby: -Grins at Royce.- "I'm gonna remind you that you said that after the first big mess I make. Cause there's always at least one, and I anticipate that baking will be messier than something like making quilting. Quilting the way most people do it, I mean, not how I do it, cause apparently that doesn't work."
Royce: *bunches eyebrows* How do you quilt? *shakes his head with a smile* Nevermind, I don't need to know. *chuckles* I'm sure we'll do fine. So you're up for coming over for baking lessons? Really? *getting excited, but doesn't want to continue down this if Abby was only joking* I can find out the days my roommate -slash- landlord has work and we can have "class" those evenings... If you're free too. I don't know if you work or not. *smiles shyly*
Abby: -She shook her head.- "Not offically. I go out into the forest and collect things city folk need but don't want to go get themselves. Dye plants, fungi, the occasional herb that won't grow around here." -She laughed and ruffled her short hair.- "Doesn't sound all that interesting, but I'm pretty good at spotting stuff and it pays enough for the life style I lead. Oh, speaking of! Should I bring anything? I mean it hardly seems fair getting you to teach me and taking ingredients off you for no price, after all!"
Royce: *looks shocked* That actually sounds really neat. I know a lot of people around here can be a bit prim and probably would hate to get their paws dirty. I would have never thought of that type of job, but, wow, that must be great. *ponders* Hmm... Well, I guess anything you want to experiment with. Then every other round of common ingredients you can bring along. Like flour and yeast... *nodding slowly* I thin that would be fair.
Abby: "Flour, yeast, other basic baking staples. Stuff I want to experiment with." -She nodded. "Got it." -A thoughtful look passed over her face.- "Wonder if I can get those things at the grocery store I was at last week. I mean like I told you, I usually eat raw, but I thought I should go into one of those kinds of stores at least once. Horr-ible produce section, I hunted down one of the people who worked there and had to lecture him about it. Ended up being asked to leave, but they were very nice about it and they didn't say I couldn't come back. I might try there first."
Royce: *nods as Abby lists things* Sounds about right. *smiles, holding back a laugh* Yeah, I'm sure your best bet for the flour and yeast, at least, would be at the grocery store. Unless you know how to make it. I don't. Experimenting material you can get where ever you want. Just remember that -we- have to try these things. *finally chuckles* Let's hope the store welcomes you back. *beams at her fondly* You probably just embarrassed them.
Abby: -A thoughtful expression crossed her face.- "Maybe. Though when that older dude came over to ask me to leave the young guy I was talking with was a blubbering mess on the floor. I figured it was just that he came to realize what a travesty that "fresh" produce they had was, but maybe it was something else." -She shrugged, unbothered.- "Oh well, guess I'll find out when I try to go back. So, where do I find you and when should we have lessons?"
jinxgirl5: I smell the fodder for their next roleplay XD
iMoony: I was just thinking the same thing. ;D
Royce: *biting his lip, while chuckling deep in his throat* I guess you really do state your mind. *reigns in his laughter* But maybe go easy on the poor workers? *looks shocked* Totally forgot to tell you my address. My bad. I live on the corner down the road-- *points*-- in apartment C12. It's a buzz-in system, so just ring up when you arrive. Let's try for.. Next Tuesday? We can adjust when ever need be...
Abby: "Totally awesome! I'll drop by the bakery at least once before then, so even if I have to do battle with the counter staff to get them to let me chat with you, we can make sure that will still be a good day." -A thought crossed through her brain. As with some of her thoughts, this one went through her brain and out of her mouth.- "What is a good day to make bread? I mean sunny, cloudy, rainy? Is it better hot, or cold, and do you want a high wind or a calm night. And what about fog versus mist." -She briefly got lost in the variety of possibilities.-
jinxgirl5: lol You know what they say about great minds! It also holds true for crazy ones ; )
Want to do another guild, or just log some inthread/IM stuff?
iMoony: Umm.. Unless you're opposed, I say switch to guild? My in-thread RPs sometimes die off and then I'm too 'scared' to pick them back up myself.
Royce: Sounds like a plan. I'll tell the cashier to expect you... Unless you want to "do battle"? Then I'll just warn him. *gives her rapid thoughts a ponder* I would think a cold day would make warm bread taste all the better. Other than that, it might do more with personal preference. I like the idea of snow-day bread.
Abby: -Her tail gave an enthusiastic wiggle at the thought. Warm, fresh-baked bread, while inside a most likely warm room while the outside was cold and snowy? Hell yes, count her in on that dream cloud!- "We should totally do that some day! Maybe it'll snow again before winter's up or something, that would be so awesome!" -Remembers what Royce said about warning the cashier.- "Nah, I enjoy battling! It's really fun if you find someone who knows how to meet a verbal parry with one of their own, plus it's good to know which people those are so you know if being sneaky is better than charging in. Warn him only if you think bad things might go down!"
jinxgirl5: Guild is totally fine : ) Want me to start this one up, since I figure the opening is her trying to find Royce's place?
Royce: We can always hope~ Warm bread while watching snow fall sounds really good about now... *wistfully sighs before winking at her* Okay, then we'll see how he stacks up. I don't give him much credit, but he might be able to hold his own. There can be some snarky customers...
iMoony: Yeah, you start this time~ When ever you have time / are ready.
Abby: -She winked, grinning.- "That's cause they don't have delicious breads sitting in their bellies and they want to know why that isn't being changed right at that moment! I think I'd get snarky too, if I started getting fixated on it, though my snarky tends to embarass a radius of people more than a single one." -She chuckled in a low voice.- "I promise I'll try not to cause too much of a scene though, so you don't get in trouble cause of me."
jinxgirl5: For you~ [x]
Royce: *nods in agreement* I suppose you're right. People get cranky when they're hungry or tired. Like a kit. *chuckles* That would be appreciated. It'll be fine. Well, I've got to head into work now. Cake frosting needs to be done. *smiles shyly but doesn't want to leave till she says "good bye"*iMoony: Is it okay that I am ending this thread RP?
jinxgirl5: Nawp, that's totally fine : ) I didn't really expect a moment of silly to go as far as it did XD
Abby: -Gives Royce a gentle push.- "Well get at it mister! I can produce psychobabble at any time, but there's a limited window you got with those cakes!" -She smiled, backing up.- "I'll see you later, 'kay?"
Royce: *smiles* Okay, okay~ See you later. *casts one more glance her way before heading toward the bakery*
