I had a crush on my good friend (let's call him A) and A has a crush on my girl-friend B (yeah, let's just call them that). My feelings for A has been developing for over a year and A never really made the move on B since he knows B is not interested.
Although I know that A is going to say no, I still...c-c-confessed redface . Actually, he did not say no instead he said "Oh my God" and left me hanging there. eek My best girl-friend asked (interrogate actually) him about it and he said he rejected me. crying
Now this is where it gets a little complicated. A completely ignored me after that. Every time he saw me, he'll avoid any eye contact with me. It gotten worse up to the point where he also avoided eye contact with my best friends!
I still have lingering feelings for A but all of my friends (even B) said that I should forget him. Trust me, I wished for it deeply too but I still intend on being friends with him but he's not making it any easy for me to get close to him.
I don't want to be so distant from him! I don't know what I should do. Please help!

Write to him and tell him that if he won't let you talk to him in person. If he won't do anything then he isn't worth your time and you two obviously aren't meant to associate.

if you really want to keep being friends with him , wait it out a bit. if you confessed to A recently , you should give him some space ,let things settle down. he's probably just flustered and doesn't really know to deal with the situation since you guys are good friends. hope everything works out for you c:

I don't know if I should. I'm afraid if I write to him, it's going to make us more distant. But thanks for the advice. I confessed to A like 2 months ago? So I guess I might have to follow Diseased's advice if this continues. Thanks Chew.

Honestly I have no patience for that level of social skittishness, least of all among people that close. To reject you; fine. No judgements there, as who knows what his reasons are. To avoid you, especially to this extent... I want to call it childish, but the level of callousness and possibly even malice make it far less forgivable. Perhaps you ought to look at what drew you to one such as him in the first place.

I went through the same thing [kind of] , one of my good friends confessed to me before the summer and it really really took me aback. Like I freaked out, even got a bit frustrated D: But with time.. c: It'll take a bit [maybe a lot , i'm a super awkward person hah] of time to get back to where you were before ,like even now I find it difficult to have a conversation with him without it getting awkward :L But whatever you decide to do, hope it works out C: good luck x

If it's been two months, he is being exceedingly childish and avoiding the issue. If he won't sit down and discuss it with you, then maybe he's not the person you thought he was.
You already put a lot on the line by confessing how you really felt. If he cannot respect the courage it took for you to be honest with him, or even recognize the effort it takes to tell someone how you truly feel about him or her, then he needs to wise up quick. You've proven what a brave and sincere person you are already, and he has yet to prove he's worthy of you.

Haha. Is that so? I wasn't the one who has been confessed to, so I don't know how it feels like. I guess you're right, he hasn't at all. What a jerk! mad
