So a couple of days ago I finally got round to seeing the Hobbit film, which considering how big a fan I am is a stupidly long time and I loved it. I loved all the Lord of the Rings films and the books and I really feel like they're good adaptations. They don't stick true to the books through and through but they still give that epic feel and they haven't missed out anything to important.

But this is about the Hobbit, where rather than miss anything out they're making so many films they have time to add stuff in. I know some people think this made the first film at least drag a bit but I really enjoyed it. I like slow moving films because that's how books are a lot of the time. It's about immersing yourself in a completely different world.

Anyway. I was wondering what everyone else's opinions were?

I LOVED the hobbit. It was never slow for me and the storytelling was amazing. From what I remember, it follows the book almost perfectly. I can't wait for part two to come out near Christmas (or hopefully my birthday like the first one did)

My boyfriend was falling asleep during the movie. And though I've never read the books, or seen or read LotR, I still knew it had something to do with The Hobbit. I actually quite enjoyed it, but I had to keep elbowing my boyfriend to keep him awake. xD

Then we tried watching Lord of the Rings, but he would never shut up, so I just gave up for a later time.

I really liked it but I wish that I had known that it was going to be more than just the one movie because I kept waiting for the big finale and waiting for the big finale and then I learned it wasn't going to happen in that movie!! =( Still... it was a very beautiful movie. I know for the next one now that I shouldn't drink the whole soda within the first hour. >.>
