Siobahn sat on the bench outside the library with her head in her hands, her pigtails swinging back and forth as she sobbed into her hands. Moments before she had been flying down corridors and hallways in search of her pet jarvey, Pabu. She had been looking for the russet colored nuisance for over three hours now. She was starting to panic and get frantic over the whole thing. He could be anywhere in the castle by now.
She brushed away the tears from her eyes, her normally green eyes now red shot and puffy from all the crying she had been doing. She sniffed and tried to rack her brain for an area she might have overlooked in her frantic searching. The first place she had thought to look was in the kitchens. She had only a few moments to glance around the bright room before one of the kitchen elves had shooed her out not even listening to her explanation.
It was possible that he was still there..but those darned elves wouldn't allow her in there. If perhaps there was an older student or teacher that would come to her aid, she bet that she'd have a better chance of getting in to check around the kitchens. If only there was someone who actually cared to help her!
She nearly dissolved into tears again in worry for Pabu. This was the first time he had gotten out of the Hufflepuff common room. Of course it hadn't been his fault, seeing as Pabu had been scared out of his mind by one of the other student's pets. Poor dear Pabu was probably hiding in some corner shivering in fear.
She sighed and leaned over her lap again, placing her face in her hands. "I wish someone would help me find him! Poor Pabu." She moaned.

Marc was in the library reading up on his care of magical creatures study topic. However. The sounds from the hall had stopped. He had been listening to her cry trying to decide if he should offer to help. Marc could still hear a couple sniffles. He closed his book and contemplated a moment. Ok... all he had to do was go over and ask whats wrong. Right? He ran his hand over the cover of the book.
He stood and slipped the book off the table. He moved to the library door and peeked out seeing the girl. He had only seen her once or twice in the common room but he recognized her which meant that she had to be hufflepuff. HE walked over quietly. He sat down and glanced at her. "Um....Hey... Im Marc... I heard you uh... crying... and was wondering if i could do anything." He shuffled his feet slightly and glanced around feeling awkward.

Siobahn was rather startled by the sound of someone talking to her. She peered up from between her fingers at the boy and blinked. My was he a tall one! She couldn't help but gasp as she took in his long legs and how he had to slouch on the bench to even look at her. She swung her legs back and forth while she bit on her lip nervously.
"I-I lost my Pabu! He got scared by another Hufflepuff's cat and ran willy nilly out of the common room. I've been looking for him everywhere! I have no idea where to find him! Do you know where a Jarvey might hide when it's frightened? I thought he might be in the kitchens, but the kitchen elves wouldn't let me go in there to look. Would you help me find him?" She asked, giving him her best puppy dog eyes.

Marc stretched a little. He was gangly now. And had just gone through another bit of growth spurt. Her eyes were red. Crap that meant she had been crying much more than he had thought.
Ok so she lost something... her... Pabu? What was a Pabu? Ok it got scared thus it must be a pet. Ah ok. Her pet Jarvey. Got it. Now the sad part. He knew nothing about Jarveys. The kitchen? Ok that would make sense. Marcellus ran his hand through his hair a moment. "Yeah... actually i go into the kitchens all the time... The house elves were really angry when i barged in but i offered to help clean up once and they let me stay...ever since they have been nicer. So I think its a good idea to look there... I mean... Pablo? would probably want to get something to eat right?"
Marc glanced at the puppy dog eyes. Yep he was a sucker for anyone wanting his help. "Here... you can hold Beans while we look for your pet... He is a good stress reliever..." He reached into his pocket to pull out the frog. Beans offered a croak and Marc held him out with a smile.

Siobahn was happy to hear that the older boy often when into the kitchen area. "You'll go in there and check for him then? He's red and orange, kind of like one of those red pandas. Though I doubt you've ever seen one of them. It's Pabu, but that's okay. Most people get his name wrong. And yes, he's constantly eating and looking for things to eat. I swear he has a bottomless stomach, much like a boy." She added with a slight giggle.
"Umm..okay." She replied taking the toad in her hands and glancing at the frog. "I thought accepted familiars were toads not frogs." She said looking up at Marcellus.
