Dear all my cherished Guild Members,
I'm so incredibly sorry for the various guild events & related presents/prizes that I have not followed through on in a timely manner.
First of all, I want you guys to know a tad bit about what's been going on with me, not because I'm looking for pity - I'm too stubborn & proud for that sort of s**t - but because I don't want any of you guys to worry that I may not follow through on my assurances. For the past 8 or 9 days, I've been incredibly sick & in ridiculously terrible, terrible pain. Being the overly-stubborn & proud person I am, I tried to deal with everything on my own by self-medicating the pain away, which is why I was active on Gaia during that period for a couple of days... But it turned out that I had multiple very severe infections that had become life-threatening by the time I bothered seeing a doctor. Everythings being treated successfully it seems, but I'm on a s**t ton of really hardcore medications that have been making me near-catatonic. I hope you all feel special & loved, because what I had to go through to get the energy to just sit up & type for long enough to write this note is, well, something I can't tell you (part of my "secret life" that I keep off Gaia), & has still been incredibly difficult & painful.
Second of all, I PROMISE you all that I will follow through on everything I planned to, as soon as I'm able to. I still have I believe about 10 or 11 people to whom I need to send their Secret Santa gifts to. Although all gifts were/are sent to & from the guild mule account, me & Vashy split the responsibility, so she does not have the information that's necessary in order to send the gifts. Unfortunately, I won't have access to my apartment where that information is written down for a couple days; but all will be taken care of one week from now. Regarding the thread in which I promised everybody presents who responded, my delay in my ability to send them I'll try & make work to your benefit as much as possible, in that the gifts would be larger than they otherwise may have been. I've been able to read many of the responses to that thread, & I appreciate them, & hope to respond to many or all of them as soon as I'm able. Furthermore, although this isn't strictly guild-related or anything, I of course had planned on sending Christmas presents to the small handful of Gaia friends I have left, all of whom I believe I know only because of Burn. I'll still be sending Christmas presents to everybody who I had originally planned on sending said presents to -- they're obviously just going to be technically more like New Years presents, I guess. Last but not least at all, I promise that I'll catch up on everything prize-related regarding Burn's Random Number Generating Contest that I need to catch up on. I believe the original contest end date was the 22nd, but since I obviously did not do anything to clarify that aside from a note in the original contest post, the event will remain open until it's moved out of the main forum.
Now that I'm awake for the first time in days, I'll try & get a few things taken care of, but I'm physically unable to promise.
Again, I'm very sorry that I got sick at such an inconvenient time for so many of you. While I'm of course well aware that my own health is more important than a website, that doesn't change the fact that I can't help but care.
Sorry this note was probably written quite poorly -- I obviously just can't think very well right now.
I hope all of your holidays were filled with joy, love, & family.

EDIT: I forgot to add, unless anything very unexpected goes wrong, I should feel fine & be off these hardcore medications in about five days (beginning of Friday, I think), so all the stuff I can't take care of before then I'll be able to get done around then.

Getting sick really sucks, especially around Christmas. I have been dealing with strep throat this week. I am glad you are starting to feel better.

Anyone that doesn't understand things isn't worth being here! Take care of yourself first and don't worry about sending gifts now. Your health is far more important. I do believe that we all understand that and again, anyone that doesn't understand that doesn't belong here! Of course, that is my personal opinion! Get well and I hope you have a happy and very healthy new year

Lady, you don't have anything to apologize for. You are already exceedingly generous to everyone in this guild with your enormous prizes and constant donating. I'm more worried about the fact that you feel as if you owe any of us anything, and that you're apologizing for not repaying such an imaginary debt due to almost dying from multiple infections.
For me, I would rather have you healthy than trying to meet whatever deadlines you set for yourself. I would rather never receive another computer pixel-y gift for the rest of time rather than have you continue to feel bad about being sick. Your continued existence is extremely important because the world is better off with you in it. It needs every one of you it can get.
Now I feel like we should all apologize to you for making you feel like you need to apologize to us.... I'm sorry, elyzia!

That sucks, but look at the bright side: everyone understands and wishes you to get well, and everything you had been sick with is going away. Don't worry about the pixels.
My laptop's broken so I am stuck on a tablet. But hey, that's my plight. And watching Burlesque.
Now get better before I find out where you live and make you better emotion_donotwant

I hope you feel better soon, elyzia! My whole family has been sick since the weekend before Christmas and it sucks.

I'm so sorry you've been so sick! Esp at this time of year! Hope the meds to what they're suppose to and your back to feeling like yourself again! I think we can all understand that real life issues happen and no apology is necessary!
