Danny loved Christmastival. No, no you don't understand. Danny loved Christmastival. Presents, free food, the mall Sandy Claws- Danny loved it. Of course, she never liked the part where she went to her house, because it ended up becoming a weekend spent talking about Oersted, but even that had its place in her heart, considering it was still a "part" of the holiday tradition. Christmastival was great.
At the moment, she was wrapping her gifts with care (in other words, with no care at all, and occasionally singeing the wrapping paper) on her bed while humming along to some Bone Direction song. Her little toilet paper cat nudged her side while Tiff and Tony playfought with each other over a bone that Rikki had bought them. Danny put a hand on the toilet paper cat's head and stroked, but then went back to wrapping. She had a job!
The gifts would arrive either in the person's hand or at their doorstep if they were out. Each gift had a tag that simply said "To (name) from Danny!!!"- nothing fancy of course. The wrapping paper was mediocre, at best, but the fact that Danny ran around in a festive outfit made up for it ... right?

Roch was, of course, first on her list. For her best friend, she got a 500 seed gift card to the local town all-you-can-eat buffet, and one other present. Because she thought it was funny.

Amphi came next, because OTPs were important her mermaid friend deserved a nice Christmastival too. First was a bikini that reminded Danny a lot of the mermaid. Danny almost bought one for herself in red, but then decided not to. She also included 20 packs of scratch 'n sniff stickers. Because why not OuO/

The mantis wasn't hard for Danny to shop for at all. A pack of rats from the local store (the kind she saw Yin munching on a lot), as well as a collar for little Arthur and a sweatshirt that didn't match Yin's skintone or scales at all. Danny's gonna Danny.

Gene was incredibly difficult for Danny to shop for. The girl was fashionable and sensible, the exact opposite of Danny. At the store, she found a mug that she could draw on. She of course wrote MERRY CHRISTMASTIVAL GENE on it in big loopy letters, but beside that she drew fireballs and a very crappy rendition of Gene. Quality.

Taima got a pack of fishsticks from the local store, as well as a silly hairclip Danny had been amused by. Apparently Danny thought Taima liked fish and only fish, nothing but fish. She tried.

Frost's present was very simple, just a necklace she'd seen at a local skeleton's store. Danny thought it suited him.

Edel got nothing but yet another fireball to her dorm door, and a lump of flaming coal chucked through her window. Danny was sent to detention for that one, but it was so worth it.

Shun got a guitar. A brand new one. An expensive new one. She wasn't hinting or anything.

Mei and Danny weren't exactly the best of friends, so Danny wasn't too sure about what the ghoul wanted for Christmas. After asking around a bit, she found out that Mei liked candy, so she bought the broken doll a bag of lollipops. For good measure, she also included a bottle of glue, thinking it would help keep the ghoul together.

Alex got what Danny thought was a very fashionable tie and a hug as she ran down the hall. Poor Alex.

Bea was hard to shop for, considering Danny couldn't really approach anything that had to do with water without gagging, but she eventually found a bracelet she thought Bea might like and a set of pillows that suited the ghoul.

ToT Rage got a very heartfelt drawing in marker (she couldn't do crayon as they melted in her hands after all), along with a note that said By the way, the toilet paper cat thing grew. What do I do?

Danny put her hand on her chin as she stared at Bul's gift. It was probably kind of strange when she barely knew the guy. Oh well, that didn't matter to Danny. Inside ugly wrapping paper, Bul would find a gift card to the local music store so he could buy himself that new amp.

Everyone else would get Spicy Candycanes (yes, such a thing existed!) taped to their doors very awkwardly with duct tape. Danny tried guys. Danny tried.

At the end of the day, Danny decided not to return to her own dorm, but to Rikki's. After a night of video games and inevitably making out, they went to bed and then departed for Danny's house in the morning. Next to her parents nicely wrapped presents containing extravagant things for Rikki (like a new suit and gift cards to nearly every store in the maul), there were two presents crudely wrapped from Danny herself. A new set of drumsticks and a Christmastival hat with chains dangling from it that Danny had glued on herself. A+
