The beasts are very wise, Their mouths are clean of lies, They talk one to the other, Bullock to bullock's brother Resting after their labours, Each in stall with his neighbours. But man with goad and whip, Breaks up their fellowship, Shouts in their silky ears Filling their soul with fears. When he has ploughed the land, He says: "They understand." But the beasts in stall together, Freed from the yoke and tether, Say as the torn flanks smoke: "Nay, 'twas the whip that spoke."

Full Name: Pehr Pronunciation: Pear Meaning: Rock Nickname: N/A Pronunciation: N/A Current Age: Early teens? Gender: Male Orientation: Unknown RP Color: #017880
Personality
Positive Traits: Quick-witted | Agile | Stealthy Negative Traits: Sadistic | Untrusting | Cynical Other Traits: Skills: Stealing | begging | Interests: Survival | Dearka Fears: Death | being confined Food Preferences: Whatever he can find.
Overview: Pehr has had a hard life. Every person who has been close to him has left him in some form or another, and every place he has called home he has been kicked out of. He is cynical, worldly and does not trust anyone. He's a street urchin to the highest degree, sleeping in alleys, stealing food for meals and selling information on town happenings. He's also sadistic to some degree, though only to other humans. Perhaps killing once unleashed the attitude, or maybe it's just because he's bitter. Whatever the reason, Pehr enjoys seeing others in pain, whether mental or physical. Of course he doesn't admit this to others....and he doesn't purposefully inflict pain. Well, not unless he deems the person deserving of it. The only creature he is devoted to is Dearka. He treats her as a princess and would put himself between her and danger. She's his soft spot. She's always his first priority. She gives him a sense of belonging and purpose. She grounds him.
Recently he has fallen under the protection of Trinian. He doesn't mind the mewskeeper, and regards his gruff concern with a mixture of amusement of skepticism. He still can't trust the man, but the attention has confused Pehr's little hate-filled world.

Height: 5'8" Weight: 120lbish - underweight Facial Features: Skeletal. His eyes are too big for his gaunt face and make them seem almost owlish. He nose matches his profile and but he has slim, almost nonexistent lips. He has miraculously managed to retain all of his teeth in the front, but they aren't noticeable as Pehr only smirks. He doesn't smile. Body Shape: Lean and Malnourished. Skeletal covered with lean muscle. Posture: Poor. He's always slouched over or hunched up. Fashion:Pehr wears whatever he can find, but he seems to favor a teal hood that he was gifted from one of the ladies at the Golden Peacock, his old brothel. Otherwise his outfit is a combination of rags he has found around the city. At the moment he has managed to secure a nice pair of gently worn boots. They are his prize and every few days he has to fight off another street rat to keep them.

Creatures: None. Weapons: He has good sized, but well worn cleaver that he keeps tucked in his rags. Other: His boots.

 History
Pehr Family History: Pehr's family owned a small parcel of land in Winderbrook. Sunderland's neighboring country.
Marital Status: Single Homeland: Sunderland's neighboring country Winderbrook Employment: Unemployed.
Personal History: Pehr was disowned at the age of 5 by his mother. She had four other children which required her attention, and were older and more useful than Pehr. Also, as a youth, Pehr possessed a beautiful singing voice that was the admiration of all who heard it. Thinking she was giving her son a better life, she handed him over to a traveling caravan that passed though the area.
Pehr stayed with the caravan for a year, until he was handed over to a tavern to act as their resident vocalist. He remained there for years, learning to keep up a tavern in the day, from taking care of the horses to airing out the rooms, and singing at night. The owner of the Inn, a lady named Maggy, adopted Pehr as if he was her own son. Making sure he was well cared for. Pehr was happy. But all times change and as Pehr grew, his voice began to change. It was no longer the voice of an angel. Instead it cracked and broke, and by 13 Pehr no longer had the ability to continue with song. Maggy was not concerned with Pehr's loss of voice, for she had raised many boys into men and knew that it could take up to a couple years for Pehr's voice to settle. But difficult times were ahead and while Maggy had owned the Inn for a great many years she had come on hard times. The money in the Inn had all but dried up as the neighbouring town up the road opened up a new deluxe Inn with more rooms. Soon, it became routine for Pehr to be the last one to be fed, the last one to receive any spare coin, the last one to get new clothes. In short, the Inn was struggling. Maggy developed a cough, probably from the stress, and within one year of Pehr losing his voice, he lost Maggy. The Inn was bought by the military for extra rooms, and they had no need for extra boys. Pehr was kicked out of the only place he had called home.
Pehr left the town and moved on to the city of Devlin. Devlin was a boisterous city full of exotic foods and travelers from far and wide. Pehr loved the lively atmosphere and interesting things to see, however work seemed to evade him everywhere he went. He tried food stalls and shopmakers, taverns and apothecaries, but no one would hire him. Eventually Pehr managed to secure a job in a brothel called the Golden Peacock. Not as one of the whores but as a helper to the woman of the brothel. He learned to paint on make-up, clean laundry, and he ran their errands; it wasn't long before he knew them all by name. Pehr worked there for months.
One night, a scream from one of the women brought Pehr charging into one of the rooms. A customer was strangling one of the women, sitting on her stomach and squeezing away her life. Pehr didn't think, he just jumped into action. By the time he regained conscious thought he stood over the body of the gentleman caller, his hands were clasping a knife and covered in blood. He had killed the man. Pehr fled into the streets and disappeared in order to stay out of jail, or beheaded.
The next day Pehr left Devlin, taking only the shawl he had gotten from one of the girl's with him.
Pehr continued to travel until he reached Sunderland, getting scruffier and scruffier and thinner and thinner. He intended to move on through Sunderland but a gentle beckoning brought him to the woods....and the appearance of a fawn kept him in Palisade.
After being beaten by some young merchant kids (for stealing), he was found by Trinian on the edge of death. Trini nursed him and Dearka back to health, and has made it very clear to the thief that he is required to return to the mews every night. Pehr isn't sure what to do with the gruff concern, but for now he follows Trini's wishes.
Family:
• Mother Name: Unknown Age: Unknown She gave Pehr away early on, hoping for a better life for him. Pehr remembers very little about her other than she was a whip-thin woman with greying hair and a haggard expression. She was the one who gave him his name.
