A Contest Raffle! Rules:1. Follow all Gaia and Shop rules and policies. 2. Be polite, courteous, encouraging, friendly, and generally a good person. No bullying, badmouthing, whining or complaining. This is for fun and to help spread the basket love. If you don't care for what you see you don't have to participate. 3. Don't reserve posts. This annoys me. 4. This will be a contest raffle. - a. Wait, what does that mean? That means that there will be a contest that you must create an entry for - but that the basket will be raffled off in the end. - b. Why do we have to create contest entries if this is a raffle? The main reasons for contests are to 1] show you have put work/effort into gaining the basket/soquili 2] give the contest holders an idea of who they would like the basket/soquili to go to 3] have some fun way of determining who the basket will go to 4] encourage others to think creatively and long term about the basket/soquili they are trying to win. We would very much like to encourage this. - c. So why a raffle? Unfortunately contests are generally an 'all or nothing' sort of thing and the results end up being very arbitrary. Some people are more skilled, or better at spouting what the person running the contest wants to hear. Some people work hard but lose out because they don't know as much about the parent's owners and have a serious entry when a funny one is what is being sought. And some people have less time, but just as much desire and love and shouldn't be completely out of luck because their lives are more full outside of the Gaia. - d. But . . . how is this contest raffle going to work? Basically each person can enter as many prompt/contest options as they would like. A single entry gets that person a participation raffle ticket. Each person may get up to two raffle tickets in this manner, each entry after the first two will not add to their participation tickets. HOWEVER, each entry can be awarded additional tickets by the judges. We can award one or two additional tickets per entry allowing us to add to the odds of those who go above and beyond, put in extra work, tickle our funny bones, are highly creative, etc. - e. You mean, if I do a good job, my odds go up, but I have a chance even if I do basically nothing? Well, no. If you do NOTHING for your entry besides putting in your name and 'If I win the Pony will be AWESOME!' we reserve the right to not give you a participation ticket. We really do want to see people putting forth effort, something we can look at and feel reassured that you actually care about the basket/soquili. But if you put forth even a modicum of effort, yes - you will get a ticket, and you do have a chance. - f. So when do we get our tickets? As I am on, I will adjust tickets. I will be going through and giving participation tickets as I see entries and will likely add my additional tickets at that time. Other judges will give their additional tickets as they desire or once the contest has closed. Tickets will not be grouped together so you can have tickets #1, 4, 8, 9, and 17. - g. Does this mean I can't edit my posts? You can edit your posts until the end of the contest. If you do so, please put a note at the top of the entry in bold red letting me know. This probably won't change any award you may have already been given, so please try to have a completed entry up when you post. 5. Please put each entry in a different post. 6. If you have questions or issues please PM me [LydaLynn] and I will try to address them as quickly as I am able. 7. Please have different posts for each entry. This just makes things easier for us. You only get judged per post, so multiple entries in the same post will cost you possible additional tickets. 8. I don't care what your herd size is, you may enter this contest if you have none, one, or one hundred. 9. Please don't delete posts. As I will be awarding tickets as I see entries, this will just cause me headaches. If you feel you need to withdraw an entry or you wish to remove yourself from the raffle contest, please strike through your entry and post a note letting me know you're leaving. I wouldn't mind knowing why, but that is not required. If you do this, you can not undo it, so be sure. 10. You may NOT give this prize to someone else. There will be no proxies. However, you may co-own if you choose, following all shop rules for co-ownership. 11. You may not enter if you already have two baskets from October breedings. Wishes [not really rules, just things we would appreciate you keeping in mind]: 1. We would really love for this basket to go to someone interested in developing the character. We can not enforce this, but would love to see the foals of our beloved characters being appreciated as something other than brood mares or stud stallions. 2. Family RP. We love this family. But we can be slow at replying to RPs. We would love to have a chance to interact with the basket in this contest, but we understand that not everyone has the patience to wait for our posts. And we understand that not everyone can rp all the time. While we love rp and encouraging it, we do not mind background rp or just plotting where it makes things easier for the new owner. 3. At the end of the whole contest and raffle, after a winner has been determined, we wouldn't mind a little constructive opinion on the contest. We would like to know what people thought of the contest and what they might like to see in future contests - but only if such can be done in a positive and respectful manner. Mother:  Roleplayed by: Syaoran-Puu Name: Rinkini Nickname: Riri (She only lets a few people call her by her full name, believing there is power in a name.)Interesting Facts/Storylines: ((*)) She cherishes her mother's Roma ways, and will pass these on to her children. ((*)) She suffers from terrible nightmares, seeing death over and over again. She now believes that these dreams are real, and that she has the power to tell how someone will die. She has never seen her own death, but often sees her brother's. These dreams always scare her, and she is rather snappy when she wakes up. [[NB: This was because she too was a twisted basket!]]((*)) She was tricked into fighting in Demon's army, it was after she left it that she ran into the father of her children.... and this is the story of what happens next! ((*)) She loves her brother (who is mostly blind, a very high sensitivity to light) and was looking for him again after leaving the army. Part of her fears he is already dead. ((*)) She doesn't have a place she calls home. She roams. ((*)) She moves in a very feline way and will often 'purr' her words. Personality: Rinkini is a nice mare at heart, but this often clouded by her need to not appear weak (which she often feels her dreams leave her as). She carries herself with a swagger very much like a cat, often appear to look down her nose at others. She carries a blade, but unlike a lot of the family that that comes from she isn't a killer and actually hates the sight of blood. When it comes to her family and her brother she will not let anyone harm them, even if this means using herself as a shield. Father:  Roleplayed by: .Tortured. .Pumpkin. Name: Cooper Interesting Facts/Storylines: ((*)) Cooper comes from a very tight herd in the desert. Though those who leave the herd generally don't roam freely, and return someday, Cooper doesn't plan to. He will visit to see his family, but he will not stay there. The wonders of the world are too enticing to him. ((*)) Although he will not stay with the herd, Cooper very much believes in the values of family and keeping in touch. He will be there throughout the foals' lives, either right there with them or not far behind. He wants to teach the foals things only a father could. ((*)) Coop believes in life lessons and doing things the hard way. He can usually say he's done something at least once, and if he can't, he is more than willing to try. To him, just because something is easier, it doesn't make it better or right. If possible, he will instill these morals into his children. ((*)) He very much enjoys traveling. For his entire life, he was in a herd in the desert, where he was very sheltered. Having left his herd, he wants nothing more than to discover everything that's out there. ((*)) Cooper is very self-conscious of his feminine appearance. He was teased his entire childhood, and it made him want to never make anybody else feel that way. That's part of what makes him so kind and caring. Personality: Cooper is very kind. He would do anything for anyone without even a thought, no matter the consequences to him. Ves'tacha doesn't believe in tying herself to any one stallion. And she believes her family should be just as free as she insists on being herself. ((*)) Ves'tacha has a cute little mouse, Rini, who gathers her fallen beads and has made sure her daughter, Riri has a mouse of the same disposition. She love the attention and affection she gets from the timid creature that hides in her mane. ((*)) She will watch over the foals, often returning to their lives as her journeys bring her near. Ves'tacha truly loves her family, even if she isn't around much. Personality: Ves'tacha is loving and accepting but also mysterious and playful. She loves to wander, befriending those she meets without giving too much of herself away. Than is male and completely evil and degrading, Lux is female hypersensitive and simpering. They continually try to break through and make him think little of himself. For now, they are silent….but they may return. ((*)) His time with Ves’tacha came after he lost the love of his life, Anaon Nox when she failed to meet him at a predetermined time. He fears she is dead and has moved on with his life. ((*)) Eventually, the voices will return and he will accidentally kill someone. Meaning: LOVEL: This is the name or title of an old and powerful English family. The meaning of it is Leo's town, Lowe's town, or Louis' town. The Gypsies, who adopted it, seem to have imagined that it had something to do with love, for they translated it by Camlo or Caumlo, that which is lovely or amiable, and also by Camomescro, a lover, an amorous person, sometimes used for 'friend.
Temper: Charming
Personality:
Very flirtatious and captivating, Camlo makes for a good friend and a fun conversation. He is extremely loyal to his friends, family, and especially siblings. Though he can be a bit overbearing at times, he has very sweet moments. He loves to make others feel wanted, beautiful, and loved. He adores the idea of love, the idea of passion. He tries to obtain this with many others. He values a good conversation, witty banter, and flirting. He finds himself very attractive and displays his confidence to others effortlessly. He is, like his grandmother, a wanderer at heart. He is a hopeless romantic but is not likely to be the family/fatherly type. Each time his other personality leaves he will feel sick from the blood, believing that he just has anxiety and that is why he feels nauseous. This other personality is female, taking advantage of Camlo's feminine features. She goes by the name Cama. She will be more provocative, alluring, and violent, but is of no danger to him, only others.

As a foal she will be relatively quiet. She will be playful and carefree, and will be especially close with her siblings. This will develop into a more coquettish personality later on. Risti always has an answer for everything, she always has a comeback. But she is not snobby or snippy in personality. Unlike her male counterpart described above, she is very light and airy, and speaks slowly and meaningfully. Her voice is soft and giggly, she is very sweet. She doesn't find herself to be attractive, and she does not look for physical beauty in others.
She simply loves the romance of a deep conversation. She enjoys a good back-and-forth, a debate, and she loves flirting because it is so secretive yet so alluring and obvious. This being said, she does not actively seek heated debates or flirtatious situations(see The Twist, below). There are always undertones of flirting in her voice, though she might not mean to. Like her grandmother, she does not stay in one place for too long, she is always seeking new faces, new places. Like her mother, she believes in the power of a name, and only gives others the first syllable of her name, Ri, challenging them to guess her name by her nature, or earn her full name through valid conversation and connection. She has vowed to herself to mate herself with any stallion who guesses her name through conversation and connection without hints and without her asking him to guess (see plots in entry # 2). She is a wanderer and a romantic at heart and it is highly unlikely that she will ever settle down.
The Twist: Risti has dreams, like her mother. But her dreams are not so stressful or dark, and they are more like visions. Hers are more vague, and only show her people she is going to meet. Upon meeting a new Soquili, she will feel that she already knows what to say to them and how to react to them. A lot of the time these dreams lead her down a dark and uncomfortable path with a Soquili that she trusts or had trusted at the beginning of a dream. Innocent or evil, the Soquili in her visions lead her down a dark path. Though the visions rarely repeat exactly in real life, this always makes her a little weary when meeting someone new, despite her eagerness to socialize.Both names are a nod to the family's Beloved gypsy bloodline.Also...Gaje....? Lol.

Plot Ideas:
Family First:
I would like to have all of the basket popping, foal, and family RP possible. I understand real life comes first, but I would love any of these plots to develop her character. She will need a family to fall back on, and I would like to make their bonds very tight despite the fact that they all like to roam. Cooper but will be very important as far as protection and/or life lessons for Risti.
Peas in a Pod:
I want her to be very close to at least one, if not both siblings. They might complete each other's sentences or experience the same visions at a time. Either way, I would love some sibling plotting.

Dreams by Day:

Though her flashes of dreams will not be so horrifying and troublesome as her mothers, they will give her some sense of discomfort along with her mother's signs of stress making her nervous. In the vision, a seemingly trustworthy Soquili (different every time) will lead her down a dark and dangerous path. At the end of the path, she knows there is something horrible. Right before getting there, however, she will snap out of her trance/vision. These dreams will not scare her, but will cause curiosity on her part. She will pursue the twisted tunnel lineage through which she came, wondering why she and her mother are plagued with these dreams. She will find her grandparents, great-grandparents, any family members she can, to see why she is the way she is. She wants to help her mother in any way possible, not realizing that she herself could be in danger. (I would love to do some plotting with Syaoran-Puu, this could be a mother-daughter journey. :3)

Ri has vowed to give herself to any stallion that, through conversation and personal connection, guesses her full name without any hints or previous knowing. This seems to be an odd hope for oneself, but she believes it is her destiny. This idea presented itself to her in one of her oddly realistic visions. This vision will stick out to her because all of her visions are usually the same, but this one will be different. She will be happy in the vision, and in no danger, unlike her usual vision of being taken down a dark path. Despite any warnings or reasoning from her family or anyone else, she will be head over heels in love with the stallion who guesses her name.
The Evil Hour:

The stallion that guesses her name will be seem trustworthy and even charming at first. But he will be evil, and will be the root cause of her premonitions of trustworthy soquili leading her down dark paths. At first she will think he is interesting and fun to talk to, with only a slight edge of danger, but will slowly come to realize that her dreams have been pointing her to this and away from him, and her life will be in danger.
Breaking the web:

Ri's visions will become more vivid and more horrendous as she stays with this stallion. She will get to the end of the path and will experience what happens there, but shortly after snapping out of the vision, she will always begin to forget what happened. Sometimes after coming out of the vision, she will forget where she is, and even what her name is. The visions will become so great that reality will blur for her. She will leave the stallion to go to her mother or grandmother to find out what is happening to her. She will discover that the dreams are a warning for her to stay away; however, she will feel bound to her vow to give herself to any who has guessed her name, and will have to make a groundbreaking and self-crushing decision to run away from this evil being.
If there are children resulting in this plot/the plot before it: The first born basket will be left with the father due to the fact that she will need to escape quickly (and due to the fact that the birth was so stressful and hectic that she will not realize she has given birth to more than one or two children) and Ri will take the other one (or two) with her. (Please note: This plot is not solely for breeding and then done. This is just to spice up further plots and play off of the Rumpelstiltskin idea. This plot will be heavily RPed and will be further RPed much longer after any baskets are born.)
The Rescue:
After finding out that she had another, unknown child through a vision, Risti will hunt down her ex-mate to find her eldest child. He will have the child heavily protected and will only trade the child for Risti. She will gather all of her courage, and will trade herself for the well-being of her child. This is when the family will hopefully come in to help her and save her.
Nice to Meet You:
Risti will find it odd that her first born foal was not in any of her visions except for one. She will find it difficult to speak with this child because, unlike her, it will be a mute because of all of the trauma it has suffered. This will cause Risti to have to think differently and find new ways of connecting with others.

Though she has escaped the clutches of her evil ex-mate and her visions have stopped, she still experiences nightmares every now and then in which he has her or her children imprisoned. She still carries conflicting feelings about the stallion she once loved. She assumes this is just a part of her twisted lineage, but he could resurface in the future to cause trouble...dun dun dun!
Becoming Myself Again:
She will roam and teach others the art of reading visions, warnings, and signs. She will tell her stories and help others to find themselves and the true meanings of their dreams. At this point, she will still be hesitant of others, but will still love a good conversation and will return to her witty and sweet personality. If she ever gets settled down perhaps an old friend, or someone she has always trusted, will be the one she truly falls in love with, and they will be life mated. Gotta have a happy ending. :3

The future . . . Your Name: Baby Pandah

Foal is: Male (Camlo)
Plot Ideas:
As a foal, Camlo's split personality will not be fully developed. Cama will appear very rarely, only when Camlo is stressed or upset, and she will not be nearly so violent as she will be as an adult. Therefore, the family and Camlo's friends may not notice that he shows any signs of this disorder.
Living in Harmony:
When Cama is not around, Camlo will be roaming and flirting with mares and trying to find friends. He will be completely normal and happy/carefree. After hearing about his father's herd, he will ask his father to take him there. He will be interested in their ideals of finding mates because he too is highly driven by that. He will consider joining and might for a short time, but will eventually leave because Cama will not like it there, or his fellow herd mates might be weary of him because of slight signs of Cama or because of his twisted appearance. He will end up leaving the herd and returning home to his parents.
Fix Us:
Because he will leave the herd because of his appearance, he will want to know why he looks different. Depending on how the tunnel has affected him, his appearance might not be optimal for the amount of flirting he wants to do. He will pursue the tunnel, in hopes of fixing himself, or finding out why he looks this way as well as his siblings. I would love this to be a sibling bonding adventure, I would like for him to be very close to them.
The Faces of Camlo:
I would love to plot with his uncle or grandfather or perhaps great-grandmother for the following plot(s). His uncle or grandfather might notice some signs of his disorder upon meeting the foals. If he could, it would be good for him to take Camlo under his wing, without Camlo knowing of his disorder. (If he knew it would allow Cama to visit more often because of his highly elevated levels of stress.) Camlo will think that he is going with his uncle to be his apprentice or assistant, or to become a part of a herd. He will be very excited about it.
Feed Me:
Cama, like Camlo's uncle and grandfather, will have a need for blood. When she checks into Camlo's body it will be a feeding frenzy, and she must be closely watched to make sure she does not go wild and eat any in her sight. She will have the desire to control her needs, because she wants to protect Camlo. She will work with Camlo's grandfather or uncle to fix her need for blood and violence, but will be stubborn and angry in doing so. She does not want to leave Camlo's body at all and has no intentions of doing so no matter how much anyone will try to remove her.
The Stalker:
Camlo will begin to find bloody gifts left by Cama. He will think of her as a stalker, not realizing that she lives within his own body. He will go in search of her to ask her to stop leaving the gifts. His family will be hesitant to tell him the truth. He will finally come to realize what is wrong with him, and for a while will check out while Cama takes over.
It's My Body:
Camlo will struggle with his other personality, but will eventually get her under control. He will pursue the twisted tunnel and perhaps his other family members to find out why he is this way. He will fight for the rights to his own body and the two will finally agree on a sharing plan for his body for the time being.
Leave Now, and Never Come Back:
Cama will attack a pretty mare that Camlo has been speaking with. He thinks he has fallen in love with this mare and finally believes there is someone out there for him. But Cama has different plans. She believes that Camlo is hers and hers alone, so she will attack this mare. Camlo will seek a way to speak with Cama, and will try to get rid of her. Much farther in the future, he will succeed in doing so, but will be distraught that he cannot have the mare he once loved because she will be terrified of him.
The Return:
Camlo will become normal again, and every now and then will have nightmares about Cama. He will roam through the Kawani lands, searching for others who suffer from the same or similar disorders to study them and help them. He will tell his story to any who are interested and he will always return to visit his family, especially his uncle or grandfather.
(Might be tweaking this entry a bit/adding more to it later. Will let you know if I edit. <3)

Jagged rocks and twisting tree roots ascending up a treacherous mountainside. This way. He says. Go up the mountain. He says. The other path is no good. I glance to the side and see bright leaves and straight trees, and sunshine. I want to go that way. I say. No no, no good. He says. I giggle at him. You're silly. I say. Walking towards the mountain now. I'll ignore the warped vines and dead leaves. He knows what's best...got to get to the top. I look back at him, aren't you coming? Of course. He says. Of course. Getting closer. Closer. I turn, and know there is danger. No! No! Please, I want to go back!
"Come on Ri, we've got to go this way. Risti?" Her eyes came back into focus, the world returning to reality before her and her father's worried face slowly coming into view. Risti glanced up the mountain side, and then back at Cooper. She giggled and poked him with her nose to assure him that she was alright. She swayed slightly and played in the dirt with a hoof, drawing pretty pictures while trying to come up with reasons not to go up the mountainside. "But, daddy," she said lightly, batting her eyelashes at him, "There's a lovely path over there." She lifted her chin delicately to point at the path down the way. It didn't look nearly as nice as the path in her vision, nor did the way up the mountain look so horrendous as the vision had suggested, but it was too eerily matched to the situation in her visions for her to go willingly up the mountain. He insisted, just like she had hoped he wouldn't. "Why are we going up the mountain, anyway daddy? If the mountain were meant to be climbed, don't you think there would be a path? Please, I want to go back" she said with an innocent giggle, realizing her words had echoed the last of the vision. She shivered and hoped he would not notice the desperation in her voice. She blew a strand of hair out of her face, and tossed her mane playfully, trying to appear as carefree as possible.
But she knew she he would insist again, and that she would go up the mountain despite her wishes to stay behind. The visions were always right. Except for the ending...the ending was never right. Her face crumpled in a frown and in contemplation. She was silly to trust the visions, they were never very accurate about the end. She looked up from her drawings in the dirt to her father's stern face and smiled. "Alright daddy, I was only playing. Don't be such a fuddy duddy," she said and shuffled regretfully towards the mountainside. But a persisting thought stuck in her mind and she turned towards him quickly before going any further, "Ladies first," she said lightheartedly, joking with her father's worries about looking so feminine, "You lead the way daddy." She felt much more comfortable with him ahead of her. But the sense that something bad was going to happen still lingered in the back of her mind until the moment they reached the top of the mountain.

I watched the rain form a curtain of water at the entrance of the cave and smiled at the rushing noise it made. It was calming. I looked at each of my family members in turn, their faces lit by the glow of the moon pouring into the mouth of the cave. I bumped my siblings with my behind and giggled, trying to get them to brighten up, and continued to look around. I looked at my father, probably the most normal in the entire family and closest in appearance to myself. My gaze reached mother's appearance last, and immediately my heart jumped into my mouth. Those eyes. The way she was staring at the opening of the cave. I looked back at it, heart pounding, but saw nothing. But her expression was so full of terror, there just had to be something there...
He'd seen it before. The constant nightmares, the cold sweats, the screaming. Camlo knew his mother came from the same twisted tunnel as he did, and that so many of his family were not exactly sane. But he felt relatively normal, like his father. He had the same appearance as his father, so he had to be normal. He had no need for blood, no love for blades, no evil thoughts whatsoever. He watched his mother's strange reaction to the cave opening, his heart rate rising and his fears taking hold of him, waiting for the evil to come through the waterfall of rain...and suddenly...darkness.
She laughed darkly and deeply. Don't worry Camlo, I'm here to protect you. Her voice was higher than his, and sounded odd in his mouth, but she didn't mind. She settled down comfortably in his body, testing his breathing, toying with his brain. Cama observed his family, a bunch of nuts. A bunch of crazies with no hope for life. And his mother, what a delicate morsel of pure terror...oh how she wished she could just scoop her up and eat her...Her stomach growled at the thought of meat. She cocked her head, staring at the mare who had given birth to her resting place. I'll save you for later. She thought maliciously, trying to control her hunger. It grew more and more, and she laughed insanely, attracting the attention of Camlo's siblings and parents. "I'M....HUNGRY," she shrieked and tore out of the cave to find her prey....darkness.
Cold, wet. What the..? Camlo awoke with a start, the rain pouring around him. He stood, his knees knocked together as he shivered and his stomach did summersaults and flips. What had he eaten earlier that day? Must have been some bad plant. He lurched forward, heaving and swaying as he made his way towards the mouth of the cave. He stood under the waterfall of the rain in the cave opening to cool his hot body and look for his family, not noticing the blood that washed off of him and down to the cave's floor in morbid puddles.( Ok, I'm done attacking your contest with entries...for now. >:3 )
