What's in a name? Your Name: Ryuukishin Entry: 1 of 1
Male: Basket Name: Leif Meaning: Dearly Loved (quack) Temper: Covetous Personality: Leif is a slave to affections. As a foal, he struggled with his strange carnivorous tendencies and the nightmares of his subconscious mind. His parents were kind, and helped him come to terms with his unusual traits. They made it clear that, although he was different from other Soquili outside of their family, he was no more evil than anyone else. While most would have flourished under such gentle and understanding treatment, he did not. His mind grew twisted with such influence. He came to believe his darker tendencies were something that should have evoked pity and he did little to control them. On the contrary, he encouraged them, so desperate was he for the love of his fellow creatures.
That is not to say he is malicious. He desires only one thing, and that is to be loved by others, to be seen with eyes full of affection. His methods will prove insufficient, however, for who could love a stallion that purposely inflicted harm upon others, and describes happily, with vigorous detail, the contents of his nightmares and sufferings so that his own selfish wants can be fulfilled? When he realizes what once helped him as a foal does not apply to him as a stallion, he will redouble his efforts, and will likely come to harm those he cares about to force them to like him, or at least pretend they do.
His largest enemy is Daralis, the voice in his head. He liked her at first, for she’d chase away his dreams and had made his lust for meat easier to bear. But, as time passed, he found her influence grew stronger, and that her desires did not match with his own. He pushed her away from his predatory tastes and nightmares but could not remove her entirely and suffers for it. For, you see, while he prefers life within a herd, where he can constantly be surrounded by those who like him, and can like in return, Daralis has a penchant for travel. She is always urging him on, and forces a solitary lifestyle on him because of it. Those who know him for a while may grow to like him since, as it was previously mentioned, he does not mean to be malicious despite his faults. However, Soquili who meet him for only a brief amount of time have little opportunity to cultivate any sort of fondness for him. Leif may try to stay to continue working with his existing relationships, but always he is given an uncontrollable urge to move away, to be about, to distance himself both mentally and physically from familiar faces. And he hates it.
Female: Basket Name: Daralis Meaning: Beloved (neigh) Temper: Opaque Personality: An enigmatic figure, Daralis is a mare who’s difficult to understand. This arises in part due to her own nature, for, like her mother the mother before her, she is a wanderer at heart and is unwilling to reveal too much of herself to any one Soquili. She fears growing attached to others, and, likewise, of others growing attached to her. This fear isn’t the result of any real experience she’s faced, but because of a strange voice that has resided within her since birth.
He calls himself Leif, and he holds Daralis’ affections jealously. He is always assuring his host that his love is great enough for her, and that she needs no other. And, as he is Daralis’ constant companion, she might have embraced his views had he not forced his predatory tastes and nightmarish views upon her.
Despite their differences, their relationship is stable. Daralis accepts her voice with the quiet submission of one who believes her other half to be a natural part of her, one who cannot be swayed or removed with any effort on her part. As for Leif, he is content so long as he is assured of his love. However, there may come a time when simply Daralis’ affection is not enough, and he may take control to seek out other sources of love.

What's in a name? Your Name: -[The Spoof]- Entry: 1 of ? Male:Basket Name: Rohan Meaning: (Sanskrit: medicine, healing, ascending) Temper: Curious Personality: (see female personality) Female:Basket Name:Rebekah ("Beka") Meaning: (Hebrew: to tie) Temper: Inquisitive Personality: Beka is one of those who asks 'why' all the time as a foal, not to be annoying, but because she is genuinely curious. She embraces her mother's Roma teachings, but also will grow curious about her father's herd and eventually want to spend some time among them learning their culture. Her early years learning all she can about her family will turn her general curiosity about life into a passion for other ways of living and how herds and family groups are similar/different to how she was raised/what she knows. Her endless questions about everything around her leads to her coming off as kind of nosy sometimes, but she makes up for it with a genuine interest in hearing the answers to her questions. Though she does not hear the voices that her maternal uncle and grandfather do, she has an above normal sense of intuition that sometimes manifests itself in a barely there 'voice in her ear' telling her of trouble and the intentions of others she meets. It is really just an innate ability to read body language really really well, but growing up with stories from her family about their sometimes pesky mental passengers has led her mind to trick her sometimes into thinking she hears a voice. This ability makes her a fairly good fortune teller, though she doesn't practice the craft often because she isn't sure she believes in it or not. Beka doesn't feel the carnivorous urges inherent in her family but if she had to eat meat it would not make her sick. She suffers a mild sensitivity to the sun because of her pale coat, so any time she has to travel in sunny places she usually wears a wrap to protect herself.

And then I would . . . Your Name: -[The Spoof]- Entry: 2 of ? Foal is: Female Prompt #: 1 Your father takes you for a visit to his former home, his parents' herd in the desert. Your parents are not mated, and your father left home. You will be under much scrutiny by the herd, though all you can hear are their whispers. Due to your parent's trip through the twisted tunnel, you aren't exactly normal, either. How do you act around these strangers and their judgements? Entry: The sun beat down on her back, and a bead of sweat trickled down her neck but she paid it no mind. Beka was wrapped from tail to head in a lightweight, white sheet of cloth that was keeping the sun away from her sensitive skin. She suddenly tripped over her hooves for the umpteenth time that day, and cursed to herself as the part wrapped around her head fell in front of her eyes again. She tossed it off in annoyance. Just out of foalhood, she was still getting used to the length of her legs. Even to her, it seemed like she was nearly full grown over night, and it was frustrating to constantly misjudge how far the ground was from her feet. Recently she had taken to walking with her eyes on the ground in front of her, in an attempt to avoid tripping. It helped, but there were so many interesting things to see now that they had reached the herd of her father. She was looking everywhere, and at everything, trying to take it in as fast as possible. Beka smiled at a mare that was giving her a funny look, not oblivious to the reason, but too excited to care. A tickle at the base of her skull made her swivel her head to look at another soquili looking at her funny, but she again brushed it off. They didn't know her, yet, and she was aware that her appearance could be shocking to some. Rinkini had not stopped her roaming just because she had become a mother, and Beka was used to the reaction her appearance inspired. The initial uncertainty usually gave way to acceptance, given enough time. Her mother, in addition to dragging her brood around the Kawani lands, had also endeavored to teach them about their heritage. Beka was naturally curious, and soaked up the information like a sponge. It made her wonder about her father's heritage, and she had begged to be allowed to go with him to meet her extended family. Always, the answer had been no. She was unsure whether he had finally acquiesced because she had been persistent, or if he had been waiting until she was old enough. Either way, this opportunity to learn was not going to be wasted because of a few odd looks, or a whispered word here and there. They would get over it, and in the mean time Beka would look around, and maybe go over there and ask about the pattern on that blanket... ((She is wrapped up, but I wrote this assuming whatever twist the basket has, it is evident perhaps in her face or legs.))

And then I would . . . Your Name: -[The Spoof]- Entry: 3 of ? Foal is: Male (Rohan) Prompt #:5 It is raining heavily and you have all entered a cave for shelter. What do you do to pass the time during the storm? Do you beg for stories from your parents? Do you tell a story? Do you talk about what you want to be when you grow up? Are you afraid? Every now and then you notice your mother's eyes darting to the exit almost in fear... what do you think of that? Entry: The storm raged outside the mouth of the cave, a buffet of wind abruptly found the entrance and swirled around the family. It danced in a circle, picking up strands of hair just long enough to tangle them before leaving as abruptly as it had entered; invisible all the while. Rohan sidled up to his siblings who were already settled, the chill wind that blew into the cave at random had him shivering. Thunder crashed and he flinched closer. Cooper was with them for the moment, visiting, and he settled on Rohan's other side without being asked. Instantly the foal felt better with the warm heat of his father on his right and his siblings on his left. His discomfort taken care of, Rohan became aware that his mother seemed uneasy. She kept glancing at the cave entrance, some emotion in her eyes that he couldn't name. She's scared... something whispered to him, and he suddenly saw the uneasiness in her stance. She was pacing a little and every time thunder crashed she would jump slightly. It was barely noticeable unless you were looking for it. Rohan felt a little more afraid, that his mother was apparently afraid too. The body on his left was shaking a little, and Rohan slumped forward in misery. He hated storms. Rinkini must have noticed her fear was feeding that of her children, because she cleared her throat to get their attention as she settled on a spot and finally laid down. Rohan perked his ears towards his mother, wondering if she was going to tell them there was a monster outside...instead, she laid down and began to tell a story. "Have any of you ever heard the story of the Fountain of Youth...?" His fears forgotten, Rohan listened with rapt attention; he loved stories. ((Tried to keep away from hijacking Rinkini...hope I succeeded.))

The future . . . Your Name: -[The Spoof]- Entry: 4 of ? Foal is: Female Plot Ideas: - The Catalyst - Beka values family and always wants to learn new things about hers, so hearing that her maternal great grandmother is unknown/missing bothers her. She will wonder for a while before she starts to ask questions of the family she does have. It is common knowledge in the family that Luc was left with Karloff, so Beka will go to them to ask questions. She will ultimately decide to go looking for Jess because she is curious about her, despite most of the family cautioning her that it is probably not a good idea. She's young and feeling rebellious so sets off alone (or with a sibling, I'm open to ideas). This will lead to maaaany subplots where she tracks down the other baskets that Jess abandoned and she will be the catalyst that draws the extended Cleaver family back together. ((I know we already have some tentative plots to do this, but I think having a member of the family with a strong desire to find the rest of the family would work just as well.)) - Would likely first run into Lucian's other siblings, and hear from Belle that she actually lived with Jess for a time. Will hear about Jess's special brand of crazy and have a moment of doubt as to whether she actually wants to meet the matriarch of the family but eventually decides yes. - After Belle, Beka will be introduced to Sangria and then Zach, who will probably be surly. Maybe she'll meet Ara right as she is catching up with Zach, her little surprise (Gabriel) in tow. - Eventually, she will find Jess after tracking her down through all of the soq she has met. Beka will ask Jess questions that have developed since she started her quest, which started as just a small adventure to try to find her lost family member but which quickly ballooned into an epic journey that crossed multiple soq and exposed exactly how crazy Jess really is and how tangled the family is. (Jess shows different levels of crazy to different people, so gathering all of the stories together will paint a fairly alarming picture in the end...) - IC, Jess has amnesia and doesn't remember her family. She is actually part Kalona which is where her carnivorous urges came from. She does not know this and just assumed there was something wrong with her, because Regulars aren't supposed to crave meat. This led to a level of self hatred, that slowly drove her to the edge of sanity. IC, her sisters are actually looking for her as well. Depending on how long all of this takes (and how long it takes to win them in customs), it would be kind of funny if Beka ran into Jess's sisters before they ran into her, and there would be a moment of 'have you seen anyone by this description answering to the name of Jessamine?' 'oh, no, but I am looking for someone who sounds almost exactly the same, she's my great grandma' 'huh, well I guess that might makes you our great grand niece...small world!'. - Curiosity - While searching for her (rather far flung) family members, she will encounter those that have seen them. Mostly I want her to meet the flock and be entranced by their strange customs. She won't join it, but she will probably try to live with them for a while if they will allow it. If the basket is male, he might think twice about approaching once their policy on males makes itself known. Not because he has a problem with them, but because he has a wandering spirit and would not be happy staying in one place for the rest of his life. This goes for any herd out there, Beka (or Rohan if it is a boy) is always fascinated by new herd/herd culture and will probably try to stay with any and all that will have her for a time and learn their ways. - Tell Me the Future - This is for the prompt #4, which I would really like to actually rp out. Beka has grown up with the knowledge that her mother seems to know the future, or believes she does anyway. Beka wants to learn how to do this super cool thing that her mom can do, but once she learns how she isn't sure she believes it...or maybe she just isn't doing it right? Inner conflict! (I will add to this, probably...I'll put big red letters on it if/when I do. Also. So many Cleaver family plots...)

What's in a name? Your Name: ~Twilight...Angel~ Entry: 1 of ? Male: Basket Name: Sodrott Meaning: Twisted Temper: Beloved Personality: He is very sweet, though gets mad easily. He doesn't like to wander away too far from his family. His twisted body hasn't bothered him too much. He doesn't mind and anyone who does, doesn't deserve to be around him, in his opinion. He enjoys being slightly creepy, though he does it just for fun and to try and make someone smile. He finds others who aren't his family semi interesting. Asking questions of the others in order to learn EVERYTHING he possibly can about them. If he reaches a question they don't want to answer, he simply continues on to others. Playing any kind of games with anyone who will play with him. Favorites are hide-and-seek and tag. Female: Basket Name: Mezanmi Meaning: Beloved Temper: Altruistic Personality: She is a bubbly, sweet, and kind girl, but is tortured by her twisted body. Her body often seems to crumble and reappear, though she hasn't moved at all. She has no control over it and sees it as a type of curse. Although she enjoys exploring new places and meeting new people, nothing is better to her than seeing her family. She enjoys spending time with any and all of her family members. Getting to know all of the ones she can meet better is a goal of hers that she keeps in the back if her mind.

And then I would . . . Your Name: ~Twilight...Angel~ Entry: 2 of ? Foal is: Female Prompt #: Prompt 1 Entry: She looked around at the other Soquili in the herd. Some had wings like her father, but there didn't seem to be anyone around that looked like her. She knew she was different from many other Soquili, but she didn't think she would get as many stares as she did. She kept close to her father's flank, keeping her tail tucked in a bit. Although usually confident and sweet, she was terrified of the others. She could hear them whispering as her and her father walked past them. Beyond the Soquili themselves, she enjoyed being in the desert. She thought that the heat was nice and the sand felt good on her hooves. She was still amazed at how little plants there were as well. Not too long after her thoughts of the scenery though, she heard more whispering again, causing her to flatten her ears a bit, getting close to her father again. She wanted to go off and explore, but being self conscious of how she looked stopped her. She didn't want to start crumbling and reappearing away from her father. She was self conscious on a normal day as it was, but the stress of being here and listening to all the whispering was almost too much. She wanted to be sure to try and make an effort to be nice and understand this herd though, for the sake of her father. She knew that this part of his family meant something to him as well, and they were a part of her family. She decided to venture away from her father a bit. Stepping further away from his flank, she sniffed at a hardy flower there were passing. She had never seen it before and because very interested. She laid down near it, relaxing a bit next to this strange plant. She looked around at the herd again, now that she was comfortable, she wanted to take another look. She saw many of the herd just walk past her with simply a passing glance. She noticed she wasn't getting as many stares as she seemed to think she was when she had first looked. Watching the others as she laid next to this strange flower, she slowly fell asleep waiting for her father to come back.

And then I would . . . Your Name: ~Twilight...Angel~ Entry: 3 of # Foal is: Female Prompt #: Prompt 3 Entry:Startled out of her sleep, she heard her mother tossing and mumbling. She knew her mother had this happen rather often, though she wasn't totally sure what most of them were. Hearing her parents talk about them a few times, hearing that they were dreams of death and destruction. Though not knowing any details. She heard her mother was worried about her brother before and had heard his name a few times during her mother's dreams. Her siblings were still sleeping, they usually slept through her mother's fits. Suddenly she heard the names of her and her siblings. She had never heard their names being said in their mother's fitful sleeps before. Her mother suddenly awoke screaming, scaring her, she jolted up to her feet just as quickly as her mother had awoken. She saw her mother starting to shake and cry as she settled back to lay. Going over to her mother, she nuzzled her neck lightly, laying as close to her as she could. She wanted to make sure that her mother knew she was there for her. She couldn't stand seeing her mother looking so worried and scared. She looked her mother over as she had finally started to settle down. Thinking about it more and more she wondered of she would end up like her mother. She had some terrible nightmares, but she wasn't sure if it was the same. She did have thoughts and feelings of things that may happen, but nothing terrible has happened yet, so she decided not to let the thought bother her too much. Until she awoke screaming and in tears as her mother does so many times, she'll put the thought out of her mind.

And then I would . . . Your Name: ~Twilight...Angel~ Entry: 4 of ? Foal is: Male Prompt #: Prompt 8 Entry: He looked around. He was alone for the moment. Although he hated being alone, in this moment he felt like he had a lot to think about. He had heard a lot about his other family members. He was curious about them, to say the least. He had seen his mother's knife, though she never used it herself, he heard of his other relatives using the ones that they had. Hearing that some of them enjoy using their knives and the sight of blood almost too much. He wasn't sure what he thought of that. He had no deep thirst or urge, but he felt... Something when he thought of the sight of blood. The warmth and the smell. He didn't know how to explain it, but it wasn't a thirst in the way of his relatives. He had also heard of some of them hearing voices. One having worse voices than the other. He heard of how one uncle has a voice that is blood thirsty and says terrible things and a second voice that is meek. He thought it would be terrible to have two completely different voices telling him two different things. He had no desire to have such conflicting things happening in his mind. He heard about the other one as well, who just seemed to have a quiet voice in the back of his mind. Perhaps a bit more helpful in the long run, than hurtful. He hadn't heard any voices of his own yet, but he doesn't know when they developed those voices either. He wasn't too worried about that yet. As he thought about it, he remembered about the uncle who had a sensitivity to sunlight. He didn't think that was too bad. Though he also didn't think that he would have to worry about that. He figured that something like that is something that would develop earlier, rather than later on in life. Overall, the only thing that he was truly worried about was ending up with the same blood lust as his other relatives. Having that... Something going on with the sight of blood. That something he didn't understand, but couldn't call blood lust yet. He would have to watch what was going on with that feeling. Have to watch it closely... I apologize ahead of time if I end up doing too many entries xD I'm having too much fun with the idea of this contest <3

What's in a name? Your Name: Strait Jacket Girl Entry: 1 of #? Male: Basket Name: Keegan Meaning: Small and Fiery (Celtic/Gaelic) Temper: Fiesty Personality: Fiesty .:. Rebellious .:. Protective .:. Fierce Keegan may be smaller than the bigger mean guys but he won't ever let that stand in his way. He has a vitality that fills him with spunk and a thirst to live life to the fullest. He can be playful and doesn't know a stranger. He doesn't want to follow rules and guidelines because they are more like suggestions than anything else, and suggestions won't be enough to deter him from doing what he wants. Sure he cares about his safety but he is a big boy and can take care of himself. He doesn't need the "man" controlling him. While he may not seem to have the wisest since of self preservation he does have a since of protectiveness. He loves what he loves and cares about what he cares about. Once you get put in that zone he is extremely protective. Wanting what is best for you so long as he believes it's best for you. If he thinks you will do something that will be bad for you he will make sure he stops you. Jealousy is no foreign concept to this little lad. What is his is his. He doesn't play around with sharing unless you're someone really special to him. He can have a fierce little temper when he feels threatened. If you threaten something that he deems his he also considers it a threat towards himself. Female: Basket Name: Keahi Meaning: Fire (Hawaiian) Temper: Passionate Personality:Passionate .:. Loving .:. Distrustful .:. Keen When Keahi gets into something she really gets into it. It consumes her attention and it becomes the only thing she cares about. She can even become obsessive over whatever it is that has swept her up. Without a watchful eye she would even forget to eat and sleep on a regular basis. Considering that she is so passionate it also stands that her passion feeds her loving nature. There is nothing she wouldn't do for someone she loves to the point of endangering herself. It isn't the safest part of her personality but she is loyal and no one could ever rightly accuse her of being disloyal. She is thankfully aware of her weaknesses and the extremes that they can seem to push her to. This feeds to her distrustful nature. Weary of anyone that could aim to do harm to her she tends to keep to herself and her loved ones. Before she allows anyone close she has to examine them both with them knowing her presence and without knowing it. She is sneaky and loves to gather information on others as if they were test subjects themselves. She isn't naive to say the least. She like to be very aware of her surroundings before she falters to her baser weaker ways. She likes to control the situations about her and she does so by being watch full of her surroundings and gathering all the information that would give her the highest ground.

And then I would . . . Your Name: Baby Pandah Entry: 6 (decided to develop Risti's character more. This will be the first time she has one of her "visions." Please excuse me if I have used the beads in the wrong context in this response, I am not sure how Rinkini uses them on a regular basis.) Foal is: Female (Risti) Prompt #: 4 Entry:
Risti peered at the beads, oval and circular and a glossy goldish brown, she had always admired them from afar. But now she looked at them closely, her crumbling reflection flirting with her as she studied their shape. She could feel their power, pulling her in further and further towards them. Her mother's instructions and voice slowed and deepened, and then faded away altogether.
Come on! This way! The foal giggles, bounding down the pathway and leading me to a fork in the road. It's just this way. He says. Over there? I ask. Yes over there. The path looks grim. The angry trees and deceiving vines block the sun, and I can't see to the end of the path. Only darkness. I look to the left and there is sunshine and beauty. He insists. Go on! I step forward, and enter the mouth of the beastly path. I advance a little further, but turn, sensing danger. The darkness consumes me. No! No! Please, I want to go back!
The beads glinted up at her in the sunlight and she blinked. What just happened? What was that? She looked at her mother innocently, batting her eyelashes and faking interest, hoping she hadn't screamed or lashed out at Rinkini. But it seemed nothing had happened, because her mother was still giving instructions on the beads. And that made it even worse. Am I crazy? She wondered, looking back at the beads lying on the ground and staring at her accusingly. She looked away, not wanting to cause another vision. Her mother regarded her with concern, asking her to please focus on the task at hand.
"No mother. Please, I want to go back," she said, scooting towards the direction of her siblings and father who were playing in the distance. The curiosity and interest that had gripped her before was no longer present in her heart. She didn't want to talk to her mother about what had just happened, knowing it would only inspire further nightmares for Rinkini. Risti wanted to distance herself from the beads, wanted to destroy them. I don't want to know the future if that's what it looks like...Her mother allowed her to leave, and she trotted off lightly to play a game of tag with her siblings, unsuspecting of the fact that the beads had nothing to do with her vision, and that there were many more to come.
Edit: Added a sentence that needed to be there. xD

What's in a name? Your Name: Hoshi Lockhart Entry: 1 of ? Male: Basket Name: Varinius Meaning: Roman family name possibly from Varius. Temper: Unpredictable Personality: Varinius, on the outside, appears normal compared to his family. He hears no voices. His dreams are just dreams which, though fun to decipher, tell him nothing besides secret things he might be feeling. There is no devil on his shoulder, no need to spill blood. He's just normal. That's not to say he isn't strange in his own ways, of course. Because of his family, Varinius has developed an interest in the mind. Harmless, but rather creeper when the Soq in question is staring at you with such intent, never breaking or seeming to blink. His mind freezes up, the only thing filtering through his observations on the target of his gaze at the moment. It's like he's in a trance. Nothing short of a smack on the head can bring him out. Even if one stands in his way, he will continue to go over what he had seen behind his vision obstacle. Comparing it to other mental notes about other Soq and so forth. No, aside this, nothing seems out of the ordinary. Just an individual with an obsession with the mind. But Varinius has his own darkside. One not too different from his family's theme. You see, Varinius is rather shy and timid. He spends a lot of his time watching his family or being alone, so outside his little group, he is more withdrawn than usual. He does not like to bother people. So when something bad happens, he locks it away in a mental safe buried deep in his mind, only to be opened to shove more things into it. When asked if anything is wrong, he lies, being well skilled in pretending he is fine with the emotions tightly locked away. For as a psychiatric-in-training, he feels it is his duty to take care of others, not the other way around. He should be able to control his emotions and keep them from interfering with research or judgement. And the only way he knows how to do that is to shove it away. But things locked away are not gone forever. The safe gets more full as time goes on. It doesn't expand to contain more. It resists more. Hiding in his mind becomes more and more difficult as time goes on, until finally the last bit of troubles he tries to hide refuses to go in. The other things shoved into the safe see the point of escape and take it, filling his mind with all the emotions he had tried to hide away. The fears, the insecurities, the anger. It all comes spilling out in such a rush, he goes insane. He wants to cry, he wants to rage, he wants revenge on those who have done him wrong. But he can't have it all at once. Nor can he concentrate on organizing them with the chaos in his mind. At this point, he can be dangerous, not recognizing those around him as friend or foe. Just wanting nothing more than to destroy the many emotions in his skull. Of course, after these episodes, the guilt of anything bad he might have done settles in, the first of the new troubles to be stored in this mental safe until the time it can escape with all its brethren once more. Female: Basket Name: Sabriyya Meaning: Feminine form of Sabri in Arabic Temper: Unpredictable Personality: See Above. My idea works for both.

What's in a name? Your Name: Entry: 1 of 1 Female: Basket Name: Aviendha Meaning: Mythical name Temper: Prismed Personality:As a foal Aviendha first started wondering why they never stayed in one place long. She would make friends and then have tearful goodbyes… At first this lifestyle was hard for her, because she started to think it wasn’t "normal." Most of the other foals she met had "homes" in that area. They lived there and grew up in one spot… Why wasn’t her family like that? She questioned her parents and would try to confide in her siblings about this. But as they say, time heals all wounds and the once emotional foal got used to the hellos and goodbyes; she actually became quite the charmer. Aviendha usually kept her brief friendships superficial and light-hearted. It was easier to have good memories that way. Soon, she even stopped thinking her family was strange. They were normal regardless. She never went hungry and every day brought a new surprise. Sometimes Moma Riri’s family would stumble upon them. It was hard to know who was where and when, when you traveled yourself, Aviendha learned. She rarely got to see Dad’s family since they lived in the desert, but when she was able to go with Cooper to visit them it was like walking into another world. She was always more excited to see Grammy Ves'tacha than anyone in the family (outside of her parents if they left for a time). Ves'tacha had the most interesting stories and Aviendha would often pretend to be just like her. The filly would strive to follow in her grandmother's hoof prints as an adult. She wanted to be a Gypsy, though she might not follow the exact path that her grandmother had set. With the roaming her family did, Aviendha was introduced to many things. She liked jewelry from one area and the dance from another, and she often meshed things together to create her own style. As an adult this would become more apparent. But like all foals, she wasn’t the perfect little princess. Unknown to her, there was a genetic link to the voices she would sometimes hear in her head. Granted she wasn’t hearing them on a regular basis, but they would creep up and encourage bad behavior. Over all they were not too aggressive, and Aviendha would talk to them only once in a while. Aviendha would try and sneak off to go and see friends or investigate something she saw earlier, but she would usually end up giggling and giving herself away. Aviendha was a happy foal; she was curious and impressionable. A lot of that will follow her into adulthood. As an adult Aviendha will become a Gypsy like her grandmother. She will wander the lands and leave a trail behind her. But will it be broken hearts? Or a following of adoring horses?[/

What's in a name? Your Name: Elf Princess Flannery Entry: #1 of # ? Male:Basket Name: Rochir (rokh-ear) Meaning: horse lord (cant remember its origin) Temper: wonder-struck Personality: same for both genders Female: Basket Name: Rasha or Rhun Meaning: Rhun-means east Temper: wonder-struck Personality: very curious about the world around her, and wants to know the rhyme and reason to everything. because her family is so spread out, she will want to meet them. she will listen to the stories about her family and fall in love with them. she want to know the origins of her twisted blood and discover where it started. sort of like a little detective :3 would love for her to make a goal of meeting every one of her distant relatives and get to know them a bit. she could be the one in the family that keeps a sort of mental journal and updates it as often as she can with each encounter. even if they are all spread apart in some sense she can keep them together.
