Amitola wandered down to where the lake emptied into the river, tail coiling and uncoiling uncertainly as she tried to stay in one place. Today was yet another day that her daughter was far from home and she was all alone - another lonely one. It had been a long time since she'd wandered this far from her cave... But today the longing was back - to see the open sea, feel the salt against her fins, taste all the other kinds of kelp. Ami had always had the wanderlust, but she had been ever to meek to follow it. Today was different, though. She felt something calling her, and she was going to follow it. Setting out, she refused to think of what Sunila would say. He would find her eventually, as he always did. Pushing the nagging thoughts away, she let herself float on down in the current.

Without a worry in his mind he let himself drift. There was nothing to fear in his life he travled where the current flowed. Today was no diffrent he left the waters gently push him back and forth. The waves were his comfort they were always aroun him in the salty ocean waters. Resting there wrapped around a strasnd of seaweed he felt at peace with the world. There was no reason for him to do much more than let the current take him where it wished.
Soon, Ami had managed to float all the way down the river - it was a much faster and shorter journey than she had originally anticipated. However, she had now finished the journey that she had scorned and been afraid of since her childhood - just like that, it was over. She hadn't been able to see much on the way down, for the river ran muddy where the melting glaciers of spring had left it swollen. As she came out at the end of the river and spun into the estuary at the bottom, she felt herself knock into something. And then she was tangled in something slimy - but she knew that feeling... It was just seaweed, wasn't it? Looking up into the nearly clear, water, she saw what looked like another seathi floating near its top, and almost screamed. She certainly hadn't been expecting to find another of her kind so soon.
Slowly opening his eyes his word was suddendly turned upside down. He had been content but all of a sudden something had seemed to get stuck in his seaweed causing him to float upwards. Reaching out with his tail he straightened himself out near the top of the seaweed. Looking down he did not notice anything out of the ordnary in the sand and shook himself. He was about to close his eyes again when he noticed something near the bottom of the seaweed. He slowly started to swim down to the shape not much happened in the sea.
As Ami watched, the other seathi began to come closer - it was probably curious as to what had just happened. He soon came into better view, and she was startled; the silent stranger was strikingly handsome. His hair floated lightly around his eyes, and he had designs all over him, just like she did. For some reason, he struck her as looking a bit like Bonaventure. She shook herself at that thought, though - that stallion had built her up and torn her apart, and she'd stayed home ever since. However, she knew not all stallions were like that... Ami had met some perfectly nice land-bound ones over the years. Smiling at the stranger, Ami greeted him. "Hello," she said, a bit flustered. "I'm sorry I bumped into you... The river shot me out a little faster than I had expected."

He noticed something out od the ordaniry at the bottom of the sea. There was a mare who looked very terrified and afraid for no reason. He then figured she must have ended up there on accident and gotten tangked up. Shaking his head his offers a smile as he swins closer to her lisitning to her words. not wanting to speak though he just nodded and said little "Not uncommon" he nods and smiles again not having much to say.
Ami looked curiously at the stranger, but decided that he had finished talking after a short pause. Breaking the minorly awkward silence, she said, "My name is Amitola, but most call me Ami. What's yours?" She'd taken advantage of the slight lull in the conversation to study him a little closer, and noticed his necklace. Immediately, she looked at the stallion before her with a new sense of trust - if there was something she could respect, it was a treasure hunter.

Heo looked at the mare again feeling ciriuous about why she had ended up in the sea. He knew that most who visited were passing through wanting to see the sights. This mare though had tumbled down the currents into the ocean it was a rare sight indeed but it did happen. He thought she was pretty though but he would never admit it. He did not need a mate being as carefree as he was a mate would only slow him down. He went along at his own pase and others had to respect that. "My name is Heo" he did not want to speak truely since the ocean ran within him. He talked like an inslander and he did not think the mare would even be able to understand it.
"Heo, hm?" Ami said, letting the name roll lightly off her tongue. It was a nice name, cute and short, like her nickname. Ami liked short names, but both of her children had ended up with long ones - Ilyrana and Pushmataha. Those two, however, had naturally shortened them all by themselves, leading to Illy and Push. Eyeing his necklace once again, Ami knew she need to address it before she drove herself crazy by staring at it. Illy had always kept her finds on her familiar's body jewelry, and Ami had admired it from afar for a long time. Shiny things were her obsession. "So..." she began casually, "Where did you get your necklace?"
