She was shocked when suddenly they were in her bedchambers. The room was covered in vines, and berries growing sparingly around the room. The bend beneath the window, is where she spent mornings reading, if she had the time. Her vanity mirror was made from a tree that grew only in Ivenia. The glass was from the swamp. Her bed frame was made from tree limbs and bark. It was a very Ivenian bedroom. But very beautiful. It had been of her choosing.
She looked at the king, and was a bit nervous. He just transported them to her room. "What is it you wish to say, that is for only my ears? Otherwise, you would have not teleported us away from the woman." She said, still trying to be polite and formal. You never know how wrong something will go, if you are not careful. This is not the time to forget her manners, though she was slightly freaked out by the sudden teleportation.
"The reason i brought you here is simple, I wish to speak for my kingdom." Nikolai said as he paced around the room, "If you want our kingdom could be allies, We could establish a tunnel route that leads to my kingdom and yours, But we need to establish a sort of deal of some kind." Nikolai said as he waited for her response.

She thought about it for a moment. It was an interesting idea. But could they really be allies? There would need to be a concrete agreement between them, but what did she really have to offer? He was very powerful, and no doubt had everything he wanted. She was young, and simply a woman. She was a shapeshifter, but there was nothing she had that he needed or wanted. Right? "I would entertain the idea, but there is little I can offer you." She said, softly, not wishing to have the guards overhear. They might panic if they heard a male and female voice from inside the royal chambers, since she was supposed to be out roaming the kingdom. With her guards of course, but her guards were actually somewhere in the castle. She never took them with her to the forest. Why would she?
She thought about her rune. No. She couldnt just hand it over to him. What if he broke it? She would loose her gift over the plants. Something that she uses in her day to day life.
Nikolai put his hands behind his back and looked at Lady Ariella, "You see, There is only one thing that i would accept, It is you're rune." Nikolai said as he look at Ariella, "If you let me study it, I'm sure we can come to some sort of agreement, To establish for our two kingdoms." Nikolai said as he looked at Ariella. Nikolai observed her movements and facial expressions as he observed her.

She was suddenly very nervous, yet, also very calm. She knew what he wanted. The problem is that she is far to worried that something will happen to her rune. But then again, this is also a good chance for her people. An agreement between the two kingdoms could come in handy. But it would need to be a very good agreement. Walking away from him, she went to her trunk, at the foot of her bed. Reaching inside she pulled out a small box. She opened the box, and pulled out a piece of parchment and a pen. She placed the items on her vanity, then returned to look at him.
"I prefer written agreement." She said, explaining. "I will...consider making this bargain. You wish to study my rune, but what will I receive in return, besides your vow that no harm shall come to my rune or me or my people because of it. " She said. Why should she give it to him? "What sort of agreement must we come to?" She added. There are several types of alliances, he needed to propose one. They needed a solid form of agreement.
Nikolai reached out his hand and took her rune from her. "Thank you lady Ariella." Nikolai said as he bowed down to her. "I will go and study this later, I feel like now's not the best time." Nikolai said as he walked up to her. "Hey, How did you decorate you're bedroom? It is very nature-y." Nikolai said as he scanned the room.

She watched him as he created their agreement. It was a fair one, for sure, however, she did have to consider it carefully. But this was what was best for her people. This was a strong king, promising to protect her and her people. In exchange, for studying power. Which was a scary thought, but at the same time...he could have demanded something worse in return. And he is strong....as it is he is already stronger then her. Him gaining more power would only, if the agreement takes place, help her further.
Having made her decision she walked over and signed her name, but she did make careful note to sign 'Lady Ariella, Queen of Ivenia'. If she had put simply 'Lady Ariella', the treaty could be considered void, since it could be argued that it was with a different woman, not the queen. And if she signed simply 'Queen Ariella', then it could be argued, if she was dethroned, that she was not queen and therefore the treaty did not stand. It was better, to put both.
She took a few steps back, and reached down into her boot, pulling out the necklace. She held it out.
The queen smiled, and walked to the window. Opening it, she reached her hand up and vines came to her, coming to her call. The came to the room, and made themselves decorations. She then closed the window, and turned to him as if to say "Ta da". She was not showing off, more like...having a bit of fun. She walked to her vanity, and picked up the document. Folding it, she place it in a silver box under her bed. It would be safe, since her vines would wrap around it and protect it. They had a ...agreement with each other.
She walked back to the king, and wondered what to next. Suddenly she remembers, and she feels horrid. "I have to change for the ball. But there is not time to ....can you please turn your back while I dress behind the screen?" She asked, wondering if he would be able to keep to his word and not look. The screen in the corner of the room, was a constant reminder to the fact that she never really had privacy . Her ball gown was sitting on the chair behind the screen, ready to go.

She walked behind the screen, and undressed, then quickly slid on a white underskirt, and then put on the ballgown. Shed chosen a deep green in order to best represent Ivenia. She finished dressing, and quickly pulled her hair up into an updo. She then walked out from behind the dressing screen. She smiled, and laughed lightly. "You can look now." She said, then walking over to the vanity. She pulled open a box, and pulled out a silver chain, on which a green pendant sat. She put the necklace on. She looked positively regal. But her feet were bare, yet another symbol for Ivenia.
Ivenia is plants. She wanted to represent the plants, thus she wore green, but by wearing no shoes, she represented the natural feel of the kingdom. She also was honoring a shapeshifter tradition. Shapeshifters often wore little clothing, and that included shoes. She looked beautiful.
Nikolai uncovered his eyes and looked back, "If i may say so, Lady Ariella you look gorgeous." Nikolai said as he bowed halfway towards her direction. Nikolai looked at himself and disgusted the way he looked. "Lady Ariella I am going to change right now if you don't mind." Nikolai said as he closed his eyes and visualized himself wearing something formal. Nikolai was now wearing a very royal tux. Nikolai then visualized some royal waist wear. Nikolai was now wearing some royal dress pants and shoes. "How do i look?" Nikolai said as he looked at Ariella.

She was a bit astonished by the compliment, but gave a curtsey in reply, then watched as he changed into his own formal attire. It must make things easy, having magic. She thought to herself. But it must also be a burden. She walked, gracefully, to the door, opening it wide. "You look very handsome, but we must get to the ballroom, before my captain of the guard bursts into the room. I have told the guard to not allow any visitor to go unguarded for a long period of time. Standard protocol. Im sure you understand the great need for security?"
Entering her chambers, she quickly came in and locked the door. She covered the windows, then went to her dressing curtain, taking off the heavy ball gown. She changed into her blue tunic and pants. It was what she wore in the forest, and it was more comfortable for the shapeshifter. She hated the heavy gowns, and found them bothersome and rather horrid. To be simply plain. She went and sat town on her bed. She did not wear a crown normally. She only put it on for formalities, and she had not worn it to the ball. Her manner of speech and the air of confidence she dawned, should be enough to let others know who she is.

Azure appeared in his usual corner in his ice chair."My love..you look beautiful.Yet worried.." Azures brow wrinkled in concern.He looked at Ariella and smiled softly.he sculpted an ice figure of a blue jay for her.They were her favorite.He smiled and put it on her bedside table.Azure stroked her cheek and jaw smiling softly.
