Melvin had been rather excited to finally make it to the main chamber in the labyrinth, but he was motivated to get more. Never be satisfied with just passing. He was a A+ student from a young age and he wasn't about to slack now.

Leon seemed rather frustrated over his tendencies to set off traps, and once Melvin's ankle swelled down, he was back to researching about his item, which he left with the techs knowing from Jerry it took a while, and the area he wanted to look into again.

Harrison's and Rep's artifacts had sparked Jordan's curiosity about the subject. The location and retrieval of the things had taken some time, but there were still open-ended questions about the artifacts themselves. A little research might clear that up.

He'd shortened his daily training time by an hour to go to the library today. The catalog hadn't been terribly helpful - it rarely was - and so he headed into the stacks to look over the mythology section, with an eye towards any potentially relevant data on the ancient Greeks.

Melvin rose up, taking three books back where he had picked them out, quickly becoming familiar with the library, before he looked over to see Jordan looking at a few shelves. "Hey, Jordan. Doing some research for fun?" Sometimes people read up to pass times and become more prepared during battle, and he wasn't sure what a Sun would even want to know either than a listing of monsters and their weaknesses.

"Fun and profit," Jordan replied dryly. "Checking out information on artifacts, actually. The ones that the guys have made me curious. There's a lot we don't know about them, so I figured I'd see if there was anything potentially illuminating in here. Kind of taking shots in the dark, though. All I've really got to go on is ancient Greek and a couple of names." He shrugged. "Even if I'm not finding anything useful, I'm educating myself, right?"

"Haven't Rep and Harrison taken you out to get one?" He was curious why not. "I've already went to an island with Jerry and he got one. Then Leon and I went to a maze that he managed to snag some too. I'm getting pretty used to them by now, actually." He pushed the book he was looking back into it's appropriate slot, not bothering to have the librarians put it back.

"It's a lot of luck and portal hoping. I've been looking in going to the maze again, actually." It was the one place that, despite getting trapped a lot, he managed to get an artifact. It made him a tad confident he could be lucky again.

"Not yet. My duty schedule's conflicted with just about everything for weeks," Jordan grumbled. "I wouldn't mind going, but it's not something that should be done solo, if I'm reading right."

He gave Melvin a thoughtful look. "If you're headed on an artifact hunt, would you mind me tagging along?"

"You're reading right. You get trapped or changed or stuck in places that really need help from other people. There are also guards almost every time you go patrolling the place. They are not easy either." At least by his standards, which probably wasn't hard at all for a Sun of Jordan's rank.

"I can take you there now if you want." He placed the last book in it's slot before looking over. "I wanted to check it out a bit more before things got busy around here."

"It's good to have backup anyway. Someone watching your back is always an asset, no matter what kind of mission it is." Jordan put the book back. "I'd be happy to go with you. Haven't been off the island much lately. Anyway, Ferros and I haven't had much chance to hit things." He grinned widely.

"Then I'll leave all the hitting to you." Melvin much preferred hanging with Suns due to their eagerness to destroy enemies. He didn't have to make excuses why he liked defending other than fighting, and could let them tear down any obstacles while he sat back and just kept them alive. It took a lot of pressure off his own shoulders.

"Follow me. We have to do some portal searching before we find the place. We're looking for a underground chamber. It's going to smell like salt water and is really dark, but there are torches. That's the last one I was at that worked out pretty well."

He lead Jordan to the lighthouse where he told the techs they were going to the Weeping Forest. They brought up the right portal and he took his pendant before stepping in.

In Halloween, he looked around. "Now we just keep looking till we find the right now."

He started his own search.

After one wrong portal, he found the place and jumped out to call to Jordan. "Found it. Get in before it moves." He informed him, waiting and stepping into the portal.

"I'm all good with that." Jordan laughed. "Let me just grab my mission bag." It was a brief detour on the way to the lighthouse; he kept the bag in question hanging on a hook next to the door in his room, so it took only a few minutes to retrieve it. At the lighthouse, he picked up a pendant and followed Melvin through the portal.

The forest made Ferros jumpy, some odd, faint echo of emotion filtering through; Jordan almost missed the sound of the portal opening. When Melvin confirmed it was the right portal, though, he headed through.
