I'm always finding myself hungry at night and it makes it difficult to sleep. I wish I had crackers or something light and filling to munch on, but I've found that most crackers are excruciatingly salty to me. Can anyone suggest a nice bedtime snack?

Well you shouldn't wait until that late in the day to eat. Ideally, you should avoid eating for three hours before going to sleep. Make sure you eat enough throughout the day and don't let yourself get really hungry. If you end up getting hungry before bed though, any snack that is low in fat and protein would probably be better (because you'll be able to digest it quicker). Kashi makes crackers that don't have a lot of salt, just don't eat that many before bed. Also, garlic will help you relax and sleep.

I do try my best to eat throughout the day and avoid eating past 8pm. I feel like a monster having to eat so often, haha. I'll keep it in mind to eat something with protein if I'm hungry before bed. I really wish they could make crackers that have no salt in them, although it would be pretty bland tasting... Oh wow, I didn't know that garlic helps you to relax. Thanks for sharing!

Try those Keebler Club crackers. They're pretty good, and not salty at all. Triscuits--particularly the tomato and basil ones--are good, too. rockchic73 i personally dont snack that much at night on account of my crohns disease situation and if i over eat it makes me sick. Okay, seriously; what the hell???
