Ah, the peaceful home of a normal small dwarfen family... Ok. Not so peaceful.
Made up of a mother, a father, 4 brothers and one youngest sister, it’s not the largest family you’ll find in the dwarf world.
The father was a quiet, observant dwarf. He wasn’t the buffest, or the leanest, but he had a knack for… not being around pretty damn quickly when his wife was mad at him. He had a full footlong bristle of black iron whiskers. He never really mentions what he does for a living to his family…
The mother had ankle-length bronze hair and was a cop herself. She was a master of the Medusa arts, able to whip her locks around while she just gave you a death glare with her arms crossed.
One of the four sons had moved out by now, and he was living out life as a cop, which he was quite satisfied doing. The other three were in various stages of learning cop-dom; with the second eldest about to leave to join the Oathkeeper clan. They’re Momma’s boys, the lot of em.
The daughter, however, while being trained and taught the ways of the cop… is turning out to be just a little bit more of a… daddy’s girl.
The day turns to find the little dwarf girl playing in her room. She has a shock of pale gold hair, which unbraided comes down to her mid back. No one can really tell where her golden tresses came from. More surprisingly though, was her rare and wise amethyst eyes, which gleams as she observes everything around her. She’s playing with her blocks as she constructs a small tower…

Two of the girl's brothers decided to step into her room at that moment. Well, 'step'... is a little bit an understatement. They rolled in, punching and tugging on eachother's beards as they barreled in, shouting in their brotherly quarrel, and rolled right into her little stone block tower...
Right after she had finished placing the last block at the tippy top.
"Oy! Stop pul'in mah beard!"
"Hahhahhah! Wen yew stop punch'n mah splin!"
The two untangled from eachother when a stone block got uncerimoniously wedged in one's back and the other's eye. Both of them laughed and looked to their little sister.
One looked at his little golden haired sister and snorted. His short fuzzy bronze locks waving the best they could in amusement.
"Oy! Sisah! Yew stil plehin wiz blocks?"
"Ain't cha growed up yet?" The other brother decided to join in on busting her chops. His tiny beard curled and bounced, a dark brass finged his jowels.
"She'z nevar gonna grow up. Sh' learnz hair twistin' from mommah an' blocks from da!"
"Ye'll be ah child 'ere forevar."
The two laughed heartily, their little beards standing out stright as they made fun of their littlest sister.

The look on the littl lass's face when she finished her little tower was a look of pride and satisfaction. When her block tower was toppled by her brother's roughhousing... Her expression was frozen for a second before a look of rage flared in her amethyst eyes and she squeezed the block in her hand so hard her knuckles cracked.
I hate you both... She hissed.
And then...! They had the nerve to make fun of her for playing with blocks! Her hair was starting to coil and lash.
Still fuming with rage she knelt down and started to pick up her blocks, while her hair also started to reach out and wrap around some close small blocks that were nearby...

The two boys obviously weren't getting the fact that their sister was pissed off. They continued to tease and berate her.
"O' lewk a' ze lass's litl trick wiz her hair. Isn't et adorabl?"
"Aye! Ah thin' she might wehnt 'elp with her bloks."
With that one of the boys leaned forward to grab a block from.. her hair. He snatched it away, and threw it across the room where it hit the wall with a thud.
The other one laughed deeply and reached forward to take another block from her, as the first did as well, clearly intending to make her block gathering as difficult as possible.

This caused the lass to go livid with rage. Her hair was already coiling and writhing... When their grubby little hands got too close to the blocks she held in her hair, strands of her pale golden hair lashed out. Strand after strand buffeted their hands with tiny pale golden tresses.
Touch mah bloks... ahn ahl make ye regret et!

The boys were about to ask what their littlest sibling was going to do to make them regret touching her toys... at least up until her hair started lashing their hands hard enough to sting like crazy.
The two stepped back and then ran from the room.
"MA!"

THA'Z RIGHT! GEW RUNNEN FER MA! She shouted after them.
She scrambled to pick up her blocks, managing to pick up a great deal of them in her arms and in her locks, before scrambling out of her room before her mom came. She scrambled down the stairs and ended up in the deserted living room, looking around for a safe place to hide...

((( Since I am law god and cheif commander of all things dwarfish in Alconia... I reserve the right to step in and make changes or random stuff to improve the smooth play of dwarf life and such when needed.... like now. This is a moderately comfortable stone dwarf house in block style as is common in midtera dwarf construction. It has three floors a basment a ground floor and an attic. Sleep qurters are in the basement, living and daily activity space is in ground level and attick has storage and crafting spaces. The father is of the architects and makes a decent living so the house is a bit larger than most and they have a fine plot of land to call their own bordering their house. Their land is fenced by tall granite walls with lovely carvings on their surfaces. The windows are stained glass and the home is built to withstand the test of time. There is more to this house however as the young dwarf girl shall soon see A dwarf architect is far more than whats carved on the surface. Like a geod they have layers....)))
Dwarf Narator: "As (uhhhh... whats her name... Oh yes!) the dwarf girl named.... (oh dear I know its in the script somewhere... let me have a look. One momment! .... Ah yes here it is!) Braidbecon looked fer a right gewd place te heid er self she wasn' hav'n much luck! There were ney a single ledge er nook er cranny to wedge in to avoid the terrible wrath O' er ma'am! She werz scabbl'n abewt pretty hard by nou as she heard the deafen'n wail what is the maloderfus sound O a full grown dwarf lass as the matriarch O' the family went ordering up an explination from the lads.... soon it would be her turn fer the roll'n pin! Th' horror! (this is getting ah might scarry if I do say so m'self) Press'n against th' walls hop'n fer some intervention O' the stone... eh sniff O' eh whispar O' the runes did gleam in the we lass's eyes... off'n th' far left oh the wall there wers ah shimmar what she nay evar noticed afer..."

She glanced up at the weird shimmer and calming herself slightly approached it. Looking up and down at the section of wall that had caught her attention, she hefted some blocks to her other arm and reached out with a free hand to run her fingers along the strange, shimmering runes.

When the runes vanished, she stopped and furrowed her eyebrows. Huh? Well, she saw the runes from over there...
Hurrying back to the spot where she had seen the shimmer, she pressed against the wall again, leaning against it heavily and looking out the corner of her eye, hoping to observe this strange phenomena more closely, her fear of her mom's rolling pin taking a backseat to her curiosity...

Slowly she turned her head, hoping the shimmer would stay there as she kept herself pressed against the wall.

And thus she started hurriedly scooching closer to the strange shimmer, hoping to identify this anomaly in her home.
